Elena's Tapas Bar and Restaurant
Had a wonderful experience at Elenas restaurant. Love it any way and will return ASAP
Nice Spanish tapas restaurant serving up many Spanish staples plus some more imaginative options. Quality of food and drinks is good. Swift service.
Excellent food, portion size bigger than tapas so you don’t need to order as much. Very attentive staff who are more than happy to help.
Not overly expensive so even if you are on a budget you can still have plenty of food, cocktails and a nice bottle of wine.
Lovely food and quite large portions for tapas. Suggest order 3 or 4 between 2 and then order more if you are still hungry. Loved the roasted veg and the cheese cake. Great place to eat. Live music in top bar area not audible in rear restaurant but that is a small point for a great night.
A little part of Espange in cosmopolitan Glasgow
Having dined here many times, we were disappointed that the restaurant and service wasn't as good as it used to be. We were celebrating our sons 9th birthday and there was no acknowledgement of this from staff at all. There was a few mix up with drinks orders, nothing passed to person that ordered, left at end of table to pass down. The seafood platter was a special treat for our son as this is his favourite but some of it was overcooked. At £170 including tip (we always tip) it really wasn't anything special. Very disappointing as been many times and recommended Elenas to many over this past few years.
Delicious food, so much flavour, delicious and lovely atmosphere. Recommend to all who enjoy tapas
Welcome was lovely. Some dishes were exceptionally good ; chorizo in Cidra, Gambas ajillo , others not so fried fish was dry and a little over cooked chickpea soup lacking in flavour. Good selection overall and nice ambience.
A tad expensive for what is was but not extortionate
Lovely efficient staff with really tasty food in a great atmosphere. Made for an enjoyable night out without bursting the bank.
Good selection of tapas dishes, some portions were very small for the price (the tortilla, bread and patatas) food was tasty enough. Decent wines and cocktails. Would visit again if at another event at SW3G.
Very disappointed with this place, I only booked it as your website recommended it. The tapas were very limited choice and the prices were very high. The waitress was rude and the atmosphere was basically nil! Nearly £8 for a large glass of wine, really!! Nor worth it it. Don’t get the chicken with lemon! Basically deep fried very small chicken legs or wings with hardly any meat or flavour, very disappointed. We had to complain as it was so poor.
Food was very average.....tapas dishes are too large for one person, which defeats the object.....the joy of tapas is to have 3 or 4 dishes. Service was patchy...once served you are largely ignored and the onus is on you to flag down a passing waiter/waitress....also, the seats by the door are horrendous..huge draft of cold air every time they are opened which was very frequently.......somewhat disappointing.
Great food, great vibe, great service - and live music was a bonus
Me and my partner love it here. Food is excellent, the staff are friendly and there is just a good atmosphere. I love the Spanish decor too. The cocktails are amazing! Especially like the strawberry and pineapple daiquiri. All made fresh Infront of you.
Excellent food, service and ambiance, will definitely be back.
Had dinner on a Saturday night. Restaurant was full with a guitarist playing. We were seated in the downstairs of restaurant so did not hear much of this. Staff were lovely and service good despite place being very busy. Food lovely with some dishes better than others. Pardon peppers, garlic prawns, clams and meatballs all delicious. Patatas bravas a major disappointment, extremely dry small cubed potatoes with a side of chilli type sauce. Also the garlic and lemon chicken which was basically deep fried chicken wings. Both had desserts which were tasty. With 6 tapas between two, a dessert each, two beers, water and coffee the total was £68, which we felt very reasonable. Would definitely return and make some different food choices.
It was amazing! Loved everything and wanted to eat more if my stomach was bigger.
Im a frequent diner at Elena's, with family and friends. Lovely atmosphere, great food, pleasant staff, reasonable prices. One of my favourites in the West End.
Our 2nd visit to Elana’s and would definitely recommend, great food, friendly service, looking forward to coming back soon 👍
The restaurant is a lovely place to go to with a group of friends. They had live music when we went which was really good. I am looking forward to going again soon. The food and service was excellent.
Booked this restaurant based on the reviews on a web search
Food and service excellent
My wife had the sea bass which was delicious
I went for the more traditional tapas (chicken skewers & meat balls)
Again delicious and good size portions.
We both agreed that another visit won’t be to far away
Would highly recommend
5 stars all round
Delightful meal, authentic and generous portions. Happy to recommend and will be back soon.
We were a party of 9 and all enjoyed it. Live music was good, staff were friendly and attentive.
Fantastic tasty food, generous portions by other local tapas restaurant, or indeed any standards. Elena and her team are very welcoming and helpful but not intrusive and the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. We will be back again soon for sure.
We love this restaurant. The food & drinks are great is very good.
Had a lovely lunch with my friends. Food was realy great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Will be going back very soon 😊
The food at Elena’s is simply superb. Every course we have had was so delicious and having holidayed in Spain including the north coast so many times we regard it as very authentic. We especially love seafood and the range is great. Loved our night and although it’s a quite a trip it is so worth it.
My boyfriend and I spotted this restaurant via a sandwich board on the main street, and we honestly are so glad we visited. The atmosphere was lovely (the live band playing when we walked in were incredible) and we were looked after very well throughout our visit. The food was divine (I particularly enjoyed the mussels), the wine was excellent quality and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. I would definitely recommend Elena's to my friends, and we will make a point to visit here again when we next come up to Glasgow.
Food and service never disappoint!
Our visit to Elena's Tapas bar lived up to our expectations. Was a such a lovely experience. We had the seafood platter and it was just WOW....Tapas were good sizes...Just amazing!
Another lovely meal - excellent food and great service . Will be back again
We had a fantastic time . Our waitress Andrea was very friendly and helpful. There was also another man who served us the food (but sorry did not get his name) who was also very nice. Had the paella mixto which was lovely. Would definitely recommend this restuarant and love that it's not a chain. Beautiful Spanish restuarant.
Good food, fast service.Very welcoming staff, good experience
I have eaten at Elena's four times in the last six months and will be there again in the next two weeks. It's THAT good!
The food is great value for money however the waiting staff need to be friendlier. Our server never smiled, everything seemed to be too much trouble. You would expect a bubbly atmosphere but it was a bit strained. We went on Friday night and around 7.30 there was music but it did not fit in with restaurant. Shame really
Thoroughly enjoyed Elena's Tapas Bar. The staff were attentive and friendly and the food was delicious. We started our evening with a cocktail and then ordered several tapas type dishes. The portions were very generous and I liked that the food was brought to the table as it was ready and not all at once. Would recommend Elena's and will definitely be back.
I have been several times to Elana's and the food has never disappointed . Tonight was no exception. I was with my Niece and her two friends. It was their first visit and the were raving about the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful . The food was its usual high quality and came promptly. Love going here
Food and service was great considering how busy the wait staff were ! Will definitely go back
This clearly Glasgow’s best tapas restaurant, quietly located above the Kevinhall in the former Stirling Castle pub.
Elena and her staff made my wife and me feel very welcome, almost like dining at home, and the restaurant had a lovely vibe to it. It busied up during Saturday lunch, but service was at a steady but relaxed pace, which for us was great as the portion sizes are on the large side. We could not finish all of our food, mixed croquettes, ham, cheese, fish, and black pudding as starters to share, and the hake and sea bass mains. The fish was cooked to perfection, and was washed down with a white Campo Flores.
Elena busied herself by checking all tables were good, and I can’t think of a better place to eat as the cold winter weather nears.
Thank you all for lovely authentic northern Spain food and hospitality.
