Wonderful hospitality, great food (and flavours), unlimited cocktails:-)
Above all, they treat adults and children equally well. Special mention to the wonderful lady who escorted us from the hotel doors until the restaurant and gifted a goody back to our Adi boy :-)
Great setting, wonderful food. great cocktail. Excellent service
Lovely food and great atmosphere. Really good service too.
This is my second time eating at this restaurant, must say although food this time was good, a year ago was outstanding. The reason I gave 4 stars to service was specifically related to the time taken by the kitchen to get the food out. Our waiter (Nuncio) was friendly and took the time to serve us properly. The rest of the staff was very friendly.
No our first visit to Ella Canta and by no means our last. Our lunch was superb, everything arriving looking delicate and pretty and intelligent, and tasting just divine. The margarita lunch is just so much fun, and the cake for the birthday boy was a very nice touch. Will be back pretty soon...
Staff were atentative, without being intrusive. knowledgeable about the food and drinks on offer, and able to make suggestions that proved to be very enjoyable.
Excellent experience all round and will gladly revisit.
Everything was excellent. We had a fantastic time. Could not fault any aspect of the experience.
Will definitely come again.
Refreshing and fresh tastes of Mexico charming staff what is not to like I can’t wait to go again ❤️🥰
5 Star experience! Lovely surroundings, wonderful and knowledgeable staff, superb food. An all round fabulous evening that we look forward to repeating.
A thoroughly enjoyable evening (mostly). The fact that the restaurant is tucked away in a hotel is not well publicised, but excellent service and welcoming as soon as one finds it. Great service from the waitrons in explaining the menu and options available and very attentive service - to a certain ooh t. Once we had reached our 5th taster (of a 7 taster menu) the service became less attentive and we had to ask for the bill twice. The restaurant did not charge us for the wine on the final bill and because we pointed this out did not charge us at all. Kudos!
As for the food - a delightful journey of tastes, smells and visuals back to lovely Mexico. Definitely worth another visit.
Food was lovely but space was highly restricted - the tables were too close to each other making it seen more like a canteen. Didn't go well with what the restaurant was trying to sell.
Also, service was slow particularly as we had to wait for more than 20 minutes to pay our bill despite a few chasers...
Pity that the restaurant is in a hotel!
The ambiance will. E better in a real restaurant
It was amazing beyond expectations. Staff was friendly, the food came quick and the ambience was nice.
However, I’d like to remark the quality of food. It was lovely presented and surprisingly, has THE real Mexican flavor. You can tell all the ingredients are either brought from Mexico or made at the restarurant following the exact recepies. The only bad thing about it is that portions are a bit small.
Tasteless food made without love
How can you get seafood rice to taste of nothing?
Really lovely contemporary restaurant. From the moment you walk in you are greeted by friendly and helpful staff. It had a lovely ambience and the music had a nice relaxed vibe. We ordered the pre theatre symphony menu, which included a yummy cocktail. The food was colourful, artistic, tasted great and a nice little kick. Fish in banana leaf was so white and fresh. The churros with caramel sauce must be tried. Hope to go back and try more of their cuisine. Loved the experience
We experienced the brunch tasting menu. Food did not have flavor, for Mexican cuisine the sauces were very flat and execution not correct. The different flavors of Margaritas were nice but have had much better. Would not recommend this restaurant.
The service was very poor. We waited for our drinks for 20 mins. Food slow in coming and rather stingy on the extra tortillas we ordered. Three came and we were a party of four.
Excellent display of what authentic and refined Mexican cuisine is
I would only recommend if you can comfortably afford the a la carte and go when it’s busy, in the evening perhaps. Our Sunday brunch was unfortunately very quiet. Food was ok, but certainly upstaged by the decor. Our waitresses were absolutely wonderful. Our first cocktail which was included with the brunch deal did not arrive until a good 30 minutes after we had ordered. This was very poor IMO. My overall impression after high hopes was of disappointment.
I love Ella Canta. I have to say this time I was a little disappointed. I looked like maybe there was staff shortage and we had to wait long for our margaritas. Te starter was lovely, however the main course and dessert were not as tasty as few weeks ago, there for I am worried about how consistent the food and service be in the future. I ordered coconut flan last time and it was heaven, however, this time I could barely taste coconut. I hope to give you another chance and be as impressed as I was the first time I visited
Nice place, good food and better service. Music too loud and ambient too noisy for just a restaurant. There were moments that it reminded me to a club instead of a restaurant, due to the effort I had to do to talk with the people on my table. I would recommend it but the noisy and loudy music is one development area.
Amazing food and drink , great quality , large portions of very delicately flavoured food .
Margaritas just fantastic lots of different flavours . Knowledgable staff . Will 100% go back and will recommend !
Mediocre hotel restaurant. They advertise that there is a DJ but we did not see one and there were not enough people to liven up the restaurant. Our server was excellent but other members of staff were rude. You would expect a mexican restaurant to have the best margaritas in town but they were below average to say the least. Would not recommend.
I have already notified opentable about this, but the way the booking page is layed out is very confusing & misleading. When you click on "menu" at the top of "a la carte" section it clearly states "2 courses for £35 or 3 courses for £39 including a cocktail". There is nothing else anywhere on the page to suggest this offer is only available at certain times.
We were all under the impression therefore that we could get the set menu, but when we arrived we were told this was not available for us. The bill was a lot more than what we initially budgeted for, which did spoil my evening somewhat.
Having said that the food is delicious & well presented. The waiters / waitresses very friendly & make good recommendations if you are not sure what to order.
I haven't been to such a lovely restaurant in a while. The entire team made us feel like home and they explained everything, from food to cocktail names and mexican history. We will definetely come back.
First visit for a meal. Food is excellent, you need to know how to order however.
I went for my girlfriends birthday and it was an amazing dinner. All the staff new a lot of history and reasoning behind each dish and the chef, and they even brought out a cake for my girlfriend free!
I would say this is a special occasion or date restaurant but I would say it is worth every penny.
Heard good things about this restaurant so visited it with my boyfriend for our anniversary. The food was awesome, cocktails great and we loved the authentic Mexican music amd vibe to the restaurant. We’ll definitely be back.
Service and food was excellent, waiters made the evening very enjoyable. 5*
Good food ,very smile staff , cristina the waitress was amazing , the cocktails are amazing . Will recommend for sure .
Poor value and pretty average food
Lovely experience. Ambiance, artistic menu and cocktails, waiting staff nicely dressed and service superb. I liked very much.
Went here for Valentine's day as a treat, and it was really lovely. Felt really well looked after by all the staff, and we were talked through the menu. The food was really original and exciting (we had the Valentine's set menu). My only slight criticism would be that the two meat dishes weren't piping hot, but they were still delicious. Would definitely come here again and would certainly recommend.
It was very good, we ordered lots of things to share and it was quite a good choose.
It's a restaurant with a lot of developed potential and a great staff. Very rich and stimulating food. Great touch on behalf of the team for bringing a birthday cake for my lady to offer an extra personalized service. Nevertheless, the service was a little bit slow. I booked a table for 22:00 and we waited until 22:35 for a table. The time between courses was a bit too long, we finished dinner at almost 1:00
We had a very great experience. Higlhly recommended.
I’m from Mexico and this was an amazing culinary experience abroad, just need a better wine selection
Loved it. Perfect for a date night!! The Pinot noir was honestly the best wine I’ve had in a long time and food was amazing, we had the valentines taster menu. Would have liked the option of a wine flight.
Lovely Mexican food in a spacious setting. Excellent service, great preparation and presentation - definitely looking forward to our next visit!
