Excellent time made even better by the wonderful fall weather.
Our daughters birthday
Was a great meal with perfect service
Clean and wonderful experience
Beautiful heritage building and grounds.
Food was mediocre at best. Service was indifferent and ambience was like a cafe.
Food was delicious. The service was very attentive and pleasant. We were celebrating a special occasion so it was a perfect match.
Amazing food and staff. A little pricey for our current times.
A really beautiful dining experience and wonderful wait staff.
The food and service was fantastic. All COVID protocols are in place for a safe experience.
The food was excellent. I ordered seafood fettuccini and it was the best seafood pasta I have ever had. My husband had the prime rib and it was juicy, tender and flavorful. We will definitely come back again.
Very good food and great service. Well composed textures and tastes without being too decadent.
Went for our 1 year anniversary
food was excellent and our server was also very good!
We will definitely be back.
Great location, food was excellent, prices reasonable, service was amazing.
This restaurant has superb food, from appetizers to dessert. The service was great by our waiter making sure water glasses were filled and all our needs met. Social distancing of tables did not detract from the ambience, in fact it was pleasant to not be close to other folks chatting at their tables.
Viewing the lovely grounds from our bay window in the oak room was lovely and we saw the fountain lights come on too.
a great dining experience at Elmhurst.
I would have thought that a crepe would be presented as a crepe rather than appearing as a casserole in a white serving bowl. It was tasty but I am suspect that it came pre prepared and was merely heated prior to serving.
We met friends for lunch and a chat. Since we were there during Covid, we were pleasantly surprised that all precautions were taken to make our visit safe. Since we were in the large room, the noise level was a little high. The food Was very good and our server was very good and accommodating to our needs.
We come here often. Grounds are beautiful and the restaurant is spectacular. Service great. Small disappointment was the dishes we had ordered were served Luke warm to cold asked to heat up the first two courses. Music was for a younger generation. Most of the people there were over 50. Could try matching music to the majority age that show up. We would definitely be going back For special occasions.
Everything was good, but they seemed under staffed. The waitress did her best and I felt she did everything she could, but it was a little slow. But if you have to wait, it is a nice place to be.
Service was prompt and courteous. Food fabulous. Gardens outside added to our enjoyment that evening. We went home satisfied.
Loved our stay. The only suggestion I would have and by no means is this meant to be negative. I thought it would be fantastic in the afternoon while sitting on the beautiful porch there may be a cheese tray available to purchase of local Ingersoll cheese. Maybe a little fruit and a few crackers! Great way to promote local business and a nice afternoon snack.
The food is delicious, but the portion, serving size of main entry is huge per person. I would prefer to get smaller serving size and less expensive.
Always professional service and outstanding food and food choices.
We were seated promptly in a very friendly & courteous manner. The waiter brought our water & coffee & took our order & was friendly & polite. Short wait for our meal which was absolutely delicious. All the staff was wearing a mask & were friendly. Overall it was an enjoyable lunch & I would go again. Lots of parking.
Delicious three course dinner! Lovely ambience on the covered veranda - pretty flowers, landscaped grounds and many fountains whose sounds served to reduce the sound of traffic on the highway but did not eliminate it. The dissonance created by the lovely country "feel" and the sound of the highway was a little disappointing only because I was seeking a break from city noise.
It was simply amazing and so good to get out during this pandemic. It wasn’t first dining experience since the end of February and they made it very enjoyable and provided a safe environment.
Dave our server was excellent. Food was good, overall experience very good
Nice atmosphere and the service was great. Excellent food for a fair price.
Great lunch on the front porch.
I had a lovely time. My services were excellent. the facial was outstanding. The food was good a little more variety at dinner would be nice. I would come back for another getaway.
I have been here before and really enjoyed the food. Opening after covid for indoor dining, I found the lunch I got wasn’t as described and was no way as good as was described☹️ It was all very tasteless....even the salad dressing was so boring. I would love to go back and get another meal one day soon and see if this is the new norm, or just a bad day.
I enjoy a restaurant that has a small menu with food prepared well vs a menu with too many choices and so-so food quality. The wine list was very good and offered some very good wines at very reasonable prices, some that I would consider bargains. Of course, it helps to know something about the wines to take advantage of it. A terrific job was done ensuring tables were appropriately spaced. The server was friendly, conversational all the while remaining efficient. Very glad to see the Inn has survived the lockdown and people returning. I've passed along our experience to our family members who previously visited the restaurant but have yet to return.
Had lunch at the Mansion Restaurant with friends. Food was very good for the price (Oxford Country Breakfast for me, Ricotta Stuffed Rigatoni for spouse). Ambiance was good also (Good social distancing and not too noisy). Inn's facilities were acceptable considering the Covid-19 situation.
At this time Elmhurst has lost much of its charm. Hopefully in the future it will get back to what it was.
Handling COVID requirements well with good spacing in their multiple dining rooms.
Great server, Sabrina; prompt, efficient and pleasant.
Food was superior and I would recommend to others.
Patio was great.
The ambiance was great. Wish I stayed here and enjoyed the hotel. Only went to restaurant. But ita amazing. Try it yourselves. Recommend
We had exceptional service at the Elmhurst Inn, thank you for a great weekend, can’t wait to return!!!
We had a lovely time, Food was really good and tasty.
Elmhurst restaurant remains one of our favourite high end restaurants & usually attend once a year as we live in London. Many years ago, our families used to go their for New Years dinner when our children were growing up & have many fond cherished memories of those times together & the excellent service & seafood provided. Highly recommend
