Amazing food and drinks. Ambience was great with the live band playing..will be returning!
Good food and drinks, great ambiance!
Fantastic place, meal, quality, and ambience. Loved it all.
Went to Elsie rooftop on a Saturday for their high tea brunch. I bought a pulsd voucher that included 2 pots of spike tea and 2 sampler size food trays. The high tea is held in a partitioned area of the rooftop towards the back and included burlesque dancers who were phenomenal. The venue is beautiful and has a open rooftop area with views of the Empire State Building. The waitress seemed to have a lot of tables but she was sweet. Was there for at least 4 hours even though the booking said there was a time limit on tables. Not a super fan of the spiked tea but the cocktails were good. I would return
The photos of this place on Open Table definitely allured me to book a reservation. Easy to find, location has a decent vibe and sound system. Their food service definitely needs to be re-evaluated as for they had many missing items, and our margaritas tasted literally like some someone poured a bag of salt in them. The server got annoyed, and had an attitude with me when I asked her where the bathroom was. Did I mention it was not even that busy? This is my first review on Open Table, so take it or leave it of course! However, be advised there are much better rooftops out there!
Drinks were terrible and overpriced.
Love drinks hit right on the spot
I normally don't leave bad reviews. The music was very loud for a Saturday mid afternoon. The service was really bad (waitress spilled my drink, brought me tonic water instead of club soda).
If you are looking for a club atmosphere, then maybe this is a good place for you. I was expecting this to be a chill, relaxing lounge with great views of the city.
It was super cute we will definitely be going again it was just a little chilling on the balcony. But the seating area and lights were super cute. Drinks were nice refreshing and strong and we got chips and quac and super tasting
Service was lacking. Waitress was non-attentive and not friendly. Drinks were expensive but several were sold out or they didn’t have all ingredients. How can you run out of olives for a martini? Food options are very limited and not very creative. What makes this place is definitely the ambiance, but it’s NYC, they need to step it up!
Went to Elsie for my birthday and the atmosphere was amazing! Great live music and very good drinks.
Amazing! Loved it
was a little disappointed by the lack of variety in the food menu. Also Elsie Rooftop should be a little more descriptive regarding their weekend bamboleio brunch - turns out you cannot be seated near the band unless you purchase tickets
Wasn’t expecting it to have such a club vibe at night especially during the pandemic. Thought it would be an open rooftop but it was all indoors and they also would cram people into the elevators. Service was ok the staff was kind but I think the place was just too busy so they forgot to come around
The place is decorated with lots of cute lights and the drinks are fabulous! The service was very slow, there seemed to just be one waitress serving the 100 people seated at the time. The staff was kind enough of take pictures of anyone who wanted them indoors and outdoors. The food is good, just keep in mind it’s appetizer sized and meant to be shared so don’t expect a meal
The place is beautiful!
Amazing date night spot. Will definitely go again
If the brunch is gonna be brunch, then please have way more brunch items for the menu. The food was good however, I was just looking forward to more items common for a brunch menu including scrambled eggs, omelette, etc. The meals were also not too big, and required us (and even some of our neighboring tables) to order more. The bad added a nice vibe, and it’s almost too hard to have a bad time on a rooftop—but food and drinks make all the difference!
The waiter was very rude. Upon ordering food you have to give your credit card and when I was leaving she claimed that she had returned my card, although she had not. It took over 30 minutes to finally contact the manager to get my card returned. The food is overpriced and subpar. One of the worst restaurant experiences in my 20 years of living in New York City.
We visited on a Friday evening and luckily had booked a table as it was pretty busy. It had a really cool vibe, some delicious snacks and great service. We were sat outside which was a little too cold so we only stayed for an hour. Would definitely come back when it is a bit warmer.
we had a great time. the band was great and the staff was excellent. drinks were great. the band made my experience better.
What a great place for brunch, the Bamboleo brunch is so much fun! Great food, great atmosphere! I wish they had a few more seafood options on their menu but overall everything for great!
Good spot for a date, nice views + live music.
Went for my bday for a few drinks before dinner. Loved the ambiance and vibe, service was great. Pretty pricey but that’s how it typically is in the city. Would return for brunch. Loved the music. They played house and hip hop.
These places is fabulous. Food and drinks was on point.👍🏾👍🏾
El lugar es un bar en realidad no tiene platillos, solo cosas para botanear el servicio excelente ambiente tranquilo para parejas música buena
Held my card on file then charged me for someone else’s more expensive night. Said they would reimburse me but never did. Food was okay , people was nice but no worth the price.
It was a great location, very pretty but I guess it was very busy because we ended up waiting almost 45 minutes to be helped. there was one waitress who came up to us once in those 45 minutes and said that we can order anything we want and gave us a QR code to the menu which was the same as the Valentine’s menu except with Guacamole and Hummus. She then proceeded on to take shots with the other parties at various tables and did not bother coming back to us. I had to go up to someone and ask to speak to a manager because if had gotten ridiculous. our new waiter was extremely nice, offered us a pitcher of sangria for free and was very kind with helping us. it was definitely an experience, a very pretty place, lovely music but i don’t know if i recommend it completely.
Sold out of everything so you could only buy the food the told you to buy and was very expensive and loud
everything from the food, drinks and music were amazing! definitely on the pricey side but sometimes you gotta treat yo'self! i don't know if i'd ever go back considering the price point for just basic bar food, but it was definitely an experience :)
While Valentines day menu’s typically aren’t made to order, this prep prepared food was very overpriced. Additionally, on the website they did not indicate they would be charging a minimum but on arrival they suddenly were enforcing a minimum. Considering it was stated there would be indoor dining, we did not appreciate all the windows remaining open just so that they could accommodate additional people.
I went there for Valentine’s day. We had reservations and had to wait for a short period. Social distancing does not occur in this place. Once the rooftop door opens it is so cold. They had a prix menu and since they do not serve entrees only appetizers. Cold appetizers that aren’t even luke warm. They were so packed our waiter forgot about us several times. To make matters worse I am vegetarian my husband is not so we never eat the same meals except for that night. Shortly, after leaving my stomach did not agree with the food and then hours later his did not as well. It is now two days after Valentines day and we are fighting over the bathroom.
Post-proposal celebration for us(I proposed at the restaurant we were at before here. Would have been nice to know about the $198 minimum before hand. Was sad that most of the food and wine had run out before we got there at 530, and the margaritas Flatbread was undercooked(cheese wasn't even melted) and then ran out as well. The food that was available was delicious, our drinks(champagne, rose, bulleit Manhattan, etc were well made(we're bartenders so we have the chops to judge) and tasted great. Our server, Lisa was fantastic. Very attentive, very helpful, very professional. We enjoyed the ambiance and design of the place. We were very comfortable.
Well the food was not the selling point that’s expected but the drinks weren’t on point either. Def overpriced.
I would not recommend to go out for dinner. The menu for valentine's day was extremely lacking and the bottle of Malbec we ordered was subpar for the price point we were charged. I felt as if Elise did a cash grab for Valentine's day.
I made reservations for Valentine’s Day for me and my girls. I was pretty annoyed because even though we had reservations we had to wait in a line where people were just walking in. We didn’t get to our table till much later, and once we were sat down the server didn’t come to us till superr later and told us that there was a minimum for the day and a pre fix menu for $99 per person. But honestly the food and drinks were not even that good tbh. The lobster rolls was more bread than anything else, it barely had any lobster. The flatbread was soggy and doughy, and the truffle grilled cheese was a little stale. I’m sure they were busy for Valentine’s Day and may have been overwhelmed, but honestly the service was a little bit lacking and the food was really not the best. Also it was pretty cold on the enclosed rooftop which I did not expect, I definitely should have planned to bring a blanket or something.
I don’t like the fact they take your credit cards before you even arrive to the restaurant. They rush you to eat the food and drinks in 75 mins and I just think it’s unprofessional how they rush you to eat
Their opentable page did not mention revised cancellation fee of $50 a person only for Valentine's day. It only stated $25 a person. Also did not mention $100 minimum to spend per person for Valentine's day only on the open table page. When we got there they sprung this in us and did given between $400 to eat vs $250 to cancel, we had no choice but to stay. Had to order way too much and waste. Not going back ever, due to this ridiculous treatment.
It was sexy
Food is decent but expensive. Thought the drinks were tasty and strong. Service was ok, they were busy but attentive. Space heaters had to be turned out due to power issues. Something to think about on extra cold nights. Fun atmosphere.
