We commissioned and custom built a bespoke, Basque-style grill and sourced some amazing single species sustainable charcoal and wood from Kent to cook with. We use only the finest seasonal produce, and introduce – as has become our style – our spin on flavours of Spain and Italy.
Ember Yard is located in the heart of Soho and is a lovely two storey restaurant and bar, with an open plan kitchen on the ground floor and a cool and cosy bar on the lower ground floor. The same delicious menu is available throughout and we encourage you to come along before you dine to sample one of our specially created Ember-themed cocktails.
We had such a great time at Ember Yard. I was familiar with their other restaurant Dehesa, but it had been a number of years since I had last been.
Service was excellent for our Sunday lunchtime meal. We tasted 2 wines recommended by our waitress before settling on a bottle which was a nice touch.
Food was sublime, there wasn't a single dish we didn't enjoy to the fullest.
Thank you and have already recommended this place to my colleagues and friends.
Hello, Thank you very much for your 5* rating and lovely feedback. We will make sure to pass it onto the team. We are glad you enjoyed your time with us and hope to welcome you again soon! Ember Yard team
Nice restaurant in Soho, well decorated through out, with nice ambience and very comfortable.
The staff is fantastic always smiling and attentive, that goes to the manager as well, we were very impressed.
Great tapas, we had the iberica ham, padron peppers, flat bread, chicken tights, iberica presa and cheese board, all delicious and well presented.
Probably one of the best tapas restaurant in London and I highly recommend this restaurant.
We had delicious cocktails and several tapas, which were all exquisite. We sat outside because it was a pleasant evening and figured it would get pretty noisy inside. Even out there, we had to raise our voices!
Wanted to order dessert but it was taking awhile to get a server's attention, plus the noise level was too much, so we just left. I would definitely go back.
Great service and tasty food
Dear Ms/Mr, Thank you very much for your lovely comment, we are looking forward to welcoming you soon. Best, Ember Yard Team
Fantastic selection of foods, the chargrilled flatbread and Burrata was incredible. A great way to start the meal and matched up well with the wine.
But the iberico presa was one of those dishes you just have to order if you like red meat.
Interesting menu and the menu changes often. This is our second visit and we would definitely return. Service is efficient & friendly
Food was below average - the cod was the saltiest thing I’ve ever had. Prawns were cold even though they are supposed to be grilled. Did not see octopus on the menu.
Delicious food, would definitely recommend. Tapas were good portions
Brilliant food. Each dish another great taste. We all loved it
Really good Tapa; excellent and knowledgeable service; great vibe.
Beautifully cooked steak and iberico. Padron peppers spot on! Good selection of wine list and very friendly service.
Great recommendation from a friend. Wonderful choice of food. We ranged from aged 50 to 21 and everyone loved the food and the wine, really interesting dishes. The Rose is also to be recommended. Well worth a visit.
The flavours and presentation of the food were wonderful, I can't wait to go back for more.
Only thing people might not enjoy is that it is a bit of a noisy restaurant. Otherwise, the meal was perfect and reasonably priced for the high level we received.
Not your average, run-of-the-mill patatas bravas place (as good as that dish can be), this is a tip-top tapas restaurant. In fact there were no patatas bravas on the menu. Instead, there are less obvious but nevertheless interesting and above all tasty items; it is unlikely you could ever go wrong with anything you chose. Being a cut above the rest it is of course a bit more expensive but worth pushing the boat out for.
Dear Sydney, Thank you very much for your feedback on your recent visit and we are looking forward to welcoming you in the future :-) Regards, Ember Yard Team
A fantastic tapas place in the centre of town - great service, wonderful amazing food (with a good vegetarian selection). Definitely planning to go back as soon as possible!
Thank you very much and we are pleased you have enjoyed food and service. We shall see you soon. Ember Yard Team
We had a lovely meal and evening at Ember Yard. Service was good although slightly over board at times. Ambience was brilliant and food was exceptionally good. I would say the overall cost was very steep and would probably be somewhere I would return for more of a special occasion than casual dinner.
Such a great restaurant. Went here with a group 5 and we all loved the food. Great setting, great food and very good vines. Highly recommend if your in the area.
Nice vibe and colourful tasty food!
Food was excellent although some of the portion sizes were a little strange. For example, the courgette flower came as a single flower between two. I would have preferred it being a couple of pounds more expensive with a second flower. Atmosphere is very good. When booking I would try and avoid the seats around the kitchen as unlike other tapas restaurants it is not the focal point of the restaurant. Service is good but you can find yourself chasing after a waiter. All in all a very good experience but could easily be excellent.
A fairly last minute booking and wasn’t sure what to expect, but loved this little place! I’m always a little cautious with tapas .. expecting greasy , fatty dishes (oily potatoes, oily chorizo ), but the food was delightful & exceeded expectations! We had one small issue with a flat Cava . However they replaced this immediately without a fuss. The service was good - all servers were very friendly and attentive. Overall we had a fabulous meal and will return.
We had a great evening at Ember Yard. The mix of Italian and Spanish tapas was interesting and very tasty. Great waiter who knew a lot about the food and made a good wine recommendation.
We absolutely LOVED the food, and the service was excellent. Never without water or a drink, and the food came out quick and hot. Brilliant all round - loved it!
As always, fantastic food and lovely place to sit and have lunch with friends
Food and service were both excellent. The wine was disappointing and need to keep their high end red wines at RT.
Really tasty food and great variety menu. Service could have been more attentive as they were only 50% full with diners.
My friend and I had a 4 course menu which had lots of different plates within. This included an unlimited prosecco and wine deal on the Sunday. The restaurant was quite chilly, a few other people hadn't taken their coats off and I took mine off and suffered because it's feels odd to sit in a restaurant with your coat on. I didn't go crazy with the unlimited drinking and had 2 glasses of prosecco, 1 white and 1 red. They could improve on the topping up situation before your glass goes dry and then you have to catch the eye of a waiter. It's a shame to enjoy only half a plate of food with wine.
However saying that I would go again and would ask them at the start of the meal if they could be observant of the liquid levels and wear a double layer of jumpers.
The food was very good.
The only issue we had with our experience:
We made a booking online for 9pm and got there 15 min early - we were asked to come back as there was no bar seating available. They actually suggested we go to the pub next door however there was no room due to sports event on TV ... It was a very cold night in London!!
When we did come back we were seated right near the exit door. My husbands chair was partially in the doorway with a terrible draft throughout our time there.
Great food although a bit over priced. Best for a special occasion as the ambience is lovely.
Great food and service. Sat downstairs and was a bit quiet so limited atmosphere. But overall would definitely recommend. Our server was lovely. Very attentive but also low key.
Great food - beautifully presented and fab service.
Excellent Basque tapas. I'd been to their sister restaurants Salt Yard and Dehesa before, so was expecting good things and was not disappointed. Will defo be back.
We went on a date night but the vibes were relaxed yet upbeat - would actually be really good for a group of friends as well. The recommendation by the waiter to get the Iberico presa was fantastic, as was the mackerel, hake, corgette flower and grilled delica pumpkin. We could have gone without the flat bread which was recommended by the waiter. Dessert of cheesecake and coffee cake was also delicious. Great food and vibes! Just a touch on the pricey side though.
Spectacular! The food was amazing.. there were six of us and between us we had the pleasure of sampling a great variety of dishes and they were all delicious. The staff were delightful.. attentive, friendly and helpful. It wasn’t a cheap lunch but worth every penny and we will definitely be back.
Fantastic food! Great service!
Not what I expected
Reserved a table at 9pm but Maybe I've booked wrong time so I was given we want to go home service *
Fantastic Tapas style food .The larger plates of pork with apple and sliced steak are ideal for sharing and really lovely. I loved the courgette flowers. Good for late night after theatre.
I could not fault the staff or the service and to be honest the quality of the food was good. My main issue was portion size and although it is a Tapas “small plates” menu it didn’t offer value for money
There is a great choice of dishes and food was delicious. The wine we chose was also excellent.
In all, we were very happy with our evening.
Great ambiance, friendly and attentive service. Food was full of flavour and perfectly cooked. Good wine list and spanish and italian beers.
Gorgeous food and great service, the perfect place for a birthday lunch :-)
