Charming atmosphere and excellent food! Small and cozy, fun for a friends dinner or date night. Great wine selection as well. The cheese croquettes were melty and delicious. The chanterelle pappardelle was tasty but could use a bit more sauce. The chocolate hazelnut dessert was a generous portion and was delicious, sort of a chocolate mousse with toasted hazelnuts and chantilly cream with a crunchy hazelnut crisp on top (the menu does not do a very good job of describing it). I would skip the bread, it was nothing special. very friendly staff and chef. i’ll definitely be back!

It’s a proper old school no-nonsense 24-carat gem. Can’t think of a bad word to say about it.

Great new restaurant. Welcoming from the beginning, food absolutely delicious and nice cosy atmosphere. Would go back just for the pasta dish alone! Great start from these talented people.

With such a small menu, one expects all dishes to be spectacular- interesting, balanced and incredibly moreish. They were not-in fact they were very ‘so so’.
For the size and quality of the plates, it’s very very over priced.
(Wine was great though!)

A gem of a restaurant, newly opened: delicious, interesting, seasonal food, designed as sharing platters. We couldn’t choose between the different dishes so as a group ended up working our way through all of them and none disappointed. Staff are very welcoming and friendly and as a small restaurant, the service feels very personal and efficient. Lovely informal and warm atmosphere - we were enjoying it so much we stayed all evening. I would definitely recommend visiting it soon before word gets out and it gets harder to book a table. It certainly deserves success.

Emile is a very nice new pop up restaurant in the heart of Shoreditch. The service was outstanding and the location is very nice too. The food is good but not as perfect as we hoped for. I really loved the overall quality of the meat and pasta, but for the price I feel it was missing the excitement. Again quality and execution was close to perfection - but for example the selection pork chops have been complemented with a kind of blend black cabbage purée. It was good - just not outstanding.

Overall I would recommend the place as it’s atmosphere is great and the service is perfect. I hope the food will develop slightly, but this is just my opinion.
