Enoteca da Luca - Guildhall
Great last minute booking - food and location good for informal business discussion
Great place - relaxed and buzzing at lunchtime. Food is excellent - simple well cooked Italian - burrata and tuna we had were delicious. Very interesting wine list with knowledgeable staff who guided us to a white Pinot Noir which was well worth trying. A real find especially in the city.
Great food, great wine, great atmosphere and excellent service
very good ambience for a purposeful business meeting, the service was superb, friendly and knowledgeable
Lovely location and truly Italian food and wine! Good prices and easygoing atmosphere make it a really lovely place to go back again and again
A tad pricey, grilled meat could be served to the diner’s preference but the dishes are great. Personally preferred the bar / dining ambience. Excellent wines and great wine knowledge from Christian!
Great food let down by terrible and intrusive service.
Great food and service.
So lovely! friendly service and fantastic food in an ambient environment. Really loved it!
This is the second time I have visited in two weeks, the first they ran out of the wine we had chosen after we had had a bottle, disappointing but these things happen. On Friday, we had lunch at 1pm and they had ran out of 3 of the sharer menu options when we ordered; we ordered other items, the waiter then returned to say they had also ran out of one of these. I asked for another on gluten free bread, to be told 10 minutes later they had ran out of gluten free bread. 40 minutes after we arrived we left, having only eaten olives!
A good evening- service was very good and the wine tip top. Gents toilets need sorting as not the quality to match the rest of the venue
Great place hidden behind Guildhall. Not very busy and good to have a quiet dinner and drinks. Food is outstanding, great flavours and seasoning. Good wine selection as well but I thought the mark-up on wine is a bit on the higher side but it's worth it.
What a shame. So much potential and on arrival the ambience and busy restaurant gives you the impression it's going to be fantastic.
However the place was like a sauna, no air conditioning, which is a shame. The service was so slow, it took so long to get our drinks that the food arrived first and we had to ask several times to receive water and diet coke in this sweltering environment.
The food was pretty average, in fact the fried octopus was the worst I've had. The pasta main was decent.
Most of the above is forgivable. Maybe they had a bad day but I took a client to lunch and the toilet didn't have a toilet seat. This was a little embarrassing. There was a toilet seat in the corner of the cubicle on the floor so this wasn't a permanent fixture but pretty embarrassing all the same. At £9 - £17 a starter this wasn't what I expected.
It is not cheap but that is to be expected. Pasta I had was not all that good and Campari spritz was small. All in all I will probably not eat/drink there again but will be returning to try the rest of their grappa selection, which for me was the only highlight, alongside a very friendly and efficient service.
Shame you don’t keep your website up to date on terms of menu. Otherwise , good as sleays
Well-chosen wines by the glass and good by the bottle list, good food but not a good first impression when the table wasn't ready and we were asked "It'll be five minutes, is that ok?" then presumably expected just to stand there with two guests. The situation could have been dealt with far better - perhaps by suggesting we wait at the bar and offering an aperitif on the house. Would not mind in a enoteca in the backstreets of Naples, but restaurants in the city, with business clients, are held to a different standard. Also, when we looked round for the bill, one waitress was checking her phone rather than looking round to see if she could help with the service. The fundamentals are right though - good food, ambience and wine - and the above issues easy to fix.
buzzy and warm, great tapas, but a bit noisy and close to other diners.
Fabulous food, fantastic service and great wine. Enoteca Da Luca is a real treasure.
Very friendly and authentic.
Prawns no good, had to send back. Pasta nice, service ok.
Great Food. Excellent wine choices many at quite reasonable prices. And staff who are pros. What more is require?
Food is always great, service very efficient. Definitely recommended.
The food was delicious but service was slow - it was difficult to get the attention of the waiter and the food took a long time to arrive.
Pleasant evening. Lovely waiters. Seating not very comfortable for those with poor backs though. Food was lovely too
Very loud but more importantly, absolutely excellent Food! Will be back. :)
Great service and lovely food. Seared tuna wonderful.
It’s a lively and well done Italian - good food/wine - can be a little too busy at times and you can be very squashed in
The food was delicious especially the tuna & Burrata but our waitress was very rude. She told us off for “seating ourselves” when we already had a reservation & had been seated by another member of staff. Then she ignored us while she tended to a couple who arrived a good 20 min after us. When I questioned this she became hostile and that couple ended up leaving - probably put off by her behavior as they were visibly shocked. Maybe the manager picked up on this because then we were assigned back to the original staff who had seated us again. She was very pleasant. I’m sure this can be a good restaurant, especially as the food is wonderful, but they need to focus on their employee training.
For 5:30 on a Wednesday evening in Jan I didn’t expect it to be so busy so glad I booked. At first I was sat in a space that was so tiny I couldn’t understand how they ever thought it was a full chair. I was pretty much on the lap of the person next to me. They were nice enough to relocate me to the higher tables.
The food was nothing special, the calamari not particularly nice and the vibe a bit sleazy. A real shame as the enoteca by Devonshire Place is lovely.
A good variety of dishes all bursting with fresh seasonal ingredients. The pumpkin and Parmesan torte was the star today. Amazing texture, strength of flavour and interesting mix of ingredients.
Service reliable as ever.
A good escape from the corporate feel of other City restaurants.
Great food and service!
Excellent food and service. Perfect for after work dinner
Great wine and olives but main meals were slightly disappointing.
Great food - staff were superb - offered excellent advice on the wine list - had a lovely time - thank you
A terrible experience at this restaurant: we turned up 5 minutes before our reservation, the place was packed, deafeningly loud and chaotic. We were told to wait by the bar by 3 different staff members. We waited for 20 minutes then eventually asked another woman behind the bar, who SHOUTED at us that we were in the wrong place and that it was not her job to help us. (At the time she was chatting to two customers who turned out to be friends of hers). Dreadful experience, would never go back.
This is my favourite wine bar in the City. The staff know everything about their wines and the food is amazing. Perfect for a bottle of wine, a baked Camembert and rustic breads.
Waiters were distracted today, must be tired. Took ages to get a drink and it was their feeding time so watched them eat ..
We were very early and despite walking into a packed bar the staff found a nook for us to cranky into . Good service and food . Loos could be a little tidier and cleaner though
Fabulous food and venue, great wine selection. Would highly recommend for business meetings, social or otherwise. The pork was ace as was the calamari.
Visited during a very busy lunchtime. Very noisy and tables are close together. Good food but served only luke warm. Felt rather rushed.
