Enoteca da Luca - St. Pauls
From small tapas style dishes to larger plates, our menu comprises of some Italian classics with a carefully crafted twist, such as seasonal homemade pappardelle with a slow cooked pork ragu as well as an extensive wine list, you'll be forgiven for thinking that you have stumbled into a local Enoteca in Italy.
With fine leather booth seats, a relaxed atmosphere and friendly service, the space is great for all occasions whether its a business lunch, catching up with friends, or private functions and a wine tasting.
Attentive services, although my special request at the time of booking was ignored. We had to wait for a booth table to come free. Once over this, service was very good and food delicious as usual.
I love that it's not too loud in here - you can catch up with friends in a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. The wines are always great, the service was very friendly and the food was great - we shared some baked camembert and sweet potato & red onion frittata which were delicious!
As I've copme to expect, great food. Interesting (Italian) tapas-style, great wine. Service friendly but a little tardy, but that didn't spoli the evening and we weren't hustled to leave our table. A very enjoyable evening.
Good food & atmosphere
One of my favourite places thanks to great staff and great food. Love the decoration, ambience and super wines!
The best thing about this venue is the staff. Your wines and charcuterie are good too but ace on the staff. I was seated in the back at a table but the noise and erm vibrations of the speakers was too much. Asked to move, and a lovely waitress seamlessly moved me while juggling my friend who had just arrived. And did a mixed board for us, again no problem and service with a smile.
Service was quite slow and not very attentive. Food was nice
Cosy and stylish environment. As the restaurant filled up it became quite noisy. Delicious tuna dish. Pasta with prawns was sent back and replaced with no fuss as only parts were hot. Attentive and responsive service. Will go there again.
A very reasonably-priced traditional London/Italian restaurant. Relaxed atmosphere, very friendly service and good food. I will definitely return.
The coconut cheesecake was great! I had the chicken breast and my friend had the prawn tagliatelle. The mains were okay but not great. Cocktail was okay.
Thumbs up again. Great service friendly and efficient; good chat and beautiful smiles. Is good to be recognised and warmly welcomed among thousands of faces..... well done. Food here is sensational, tasty and well presented. I took my friends in today and they loved it. Busy and buzzing atmosphere. Not to mention the wine, always ask for suggestion! Superb
We shared appetisers and main dishes because we could not decide, best decision ever. Wine recommendation was superb.
Been many times, but last time was awful:
1. Cold - actually cold food... fridge cold! Beef shin.
2. Tuna not cooked when specifically asked as friend could not eat raw fish.
3. No side dishes came. When we highlighted we were told there were no chips left... despite ordering at the start.
£120... minimal apology. Terrible.
Great atmosphere with a uniquely traditional menu. Not a huge choice which I prefer as then you know the food is freshly cooked. Service was superb. Really friendly staff who seemed genuinely interested in us as people and whether we had enjoyed our meal. Engaged in general conversation and offered us a complimentary Lemoncello at the end. Lovely touch. I’ll definitely return to this friendly, authentic restaurant. The only thing I would change was the music. Other than that, it was spot on. :-)
I go quite regularly. Very nice service.
Food is good, a touch on the pricey side, but so is everything in the City.
Portion sizes are a little small.
Music is good but a notch too loud.
I’ve enjoyed dining here in the past but on this occasion our waiter was fairly rude including suggesting repeatedly that my colleague had ordered a cheap bottle of wine and then giving him the hard sell to order another different bottle. Additionally, he got the order wrong and one of my colleagues had to wait for his main long after our food had arrived. I won’t be going back in a hurry.
Lovely food. 2nd time here will definitely come again.
Delicious food and equally great service. I always enjoy it here.
Service was a little “lack lustre “.
Four friends and I met at this pub, which is near where we all used to work 30 years ago!! St Paul's is just 2 minutes walk away. It was fairly noisy when we first arrived and although I had booked it weeks ago, they didn't have a table ready for us. However, it was soon sorted and we had an enjoyable evening...a lovely New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and some delicious italian dishes.
I have written previously about he very high quality of all the restaurants and bars in this small chain.
Atmosphere, service, drink choice and food are superb. Never a complaint.
Great food and service not to mention a delicious brunello
Great evening. Buzzy atmosphere. We opted for tapas style dining with smaller plates but there is the option to have main meals. Roasted cauliflower was delish! Lovely wine selection too.
Despite having been to Enoteca many times before and enjoying it, this time we were hurried throughout the whole meal. Our mains arrived a few minutes after our wine and starters had been brought to us, which we had hardly even had the chance to begin eating. When we asked if we could have the mains a little later, we were given a frosty response; they were then brought back cold about 20 minutes later. Rather odd but delicious wine nonetheless!
Went for a late luch -very good food -staff are always attentive . Wine list could do with an update and not that competively priced. Overall a great experience
All of the Enoteca bar/restaurants have their own style and ambience within the same overall theme of authentic Italian wine, food and service. The Watling St, St. Paul's venue has an excellent vibe and always provides great food, wine and service. The price point seems to have crept up a little but they remain good value. The music is also worth mentioning as the selection always places you in a good frame of mind and you genuinely do not want to leave.
Will definitely return to Enoteca da Luca. Our server was really friendly and service was fast and the food was lovely. Quite expensive for what you get but the quality makes up for it.
Baked camembert and parmesan fries were delicious!
We had a really special night. The food was exceptional and our waiter was really good with the wine suggestions and with the banter 😁
Really nice to find a family feeling place in corporate bank area. Definitely going back 👍🏼
Poor service they ran out of tomato sauce and for pasta? weird considering it is an Italian. Cauliflower was burnt
first time visit, but on the back of numerous good experiences at sister restaurant Enoteca da Luca at Devonshire square slightly different menu but with good old favs good wine selection as well. nice setting and good for a quite lunch to have a chat for two over.
Delicious food, friendly staff
Food was delicious. Some of the staff were really rude and disinterested. It felt like a massive imposition to ask for anything.
Service was tired and lethargic
Very slow service at a late lunch sitting when it wasn’t that full. Good bread but the pasta with wild boar ragu was very bland. Will still with manicomio next time. Still for a city lunch not massively expensive.
Had a great meal and the staff were lovely
Excellent food and a very buzzing atmosphere. Service was a bit hit and miss due to how busy it was, but no mistakes on what we ordered or the bill.
Loved it, great atmosphere as well as good food and wine
Nice place friendly staff good food.
I was a bit skeptical to come visit after reading few of the previous reviews but I decided to give it a chance anyway.
A warm welcome at the door, friendly staff and very well prepared on both food&wine.
The food is superb... truly Italian; prosciutto, buttata and beef tartare so yummy. As a main I went for wild Boar Pappardelle; spectacular. The wine I choose wasn’t in stock unfortunately but the waiter suggested a great Replacement that truly made our experience there.
A nice shot of limoncello to finish as kings.
I will definitely go back to try some more of the delicious dishes and wines. Great vibes. Highly recommend it.
