Enrique Tomas - Dallas
Enrique Tomás is the largest purveyor of Spain's legendary jamón ibérico. The Enrique Tomás empire extends to over 50 locations around the world including, Lima, London and Paris and we are happy to be the first U.S. outpost.
Enrique Tomás Dallas includes a small store front featuring a variety of Spanish cured hams and other products to-go, a cozy dining room, full bar downstairs and an upstairs lounge and tapas bar. We do accept walk-ins, and we invite you to head upstairs when you arrive!
Enjoy lunch, dinner or a Spanish Sunday brunch. In addition to Spanish cheese and jamón tasting platters, there will be traditional and contemporary Spanish cuisine. Starters include ibérico secreto carpaccio, and gazpacho Andaluz. Heartier fare includes: asturian fabada topped with shaved ham; solomillo ibérico; and an ibérico secreto burger. Seafood fans will have many options, including two different paellas, Galician octopus, stuffed calamari, and trout baked in a salt crust.
The food is great! It reminded me of my time in Spain. They know what they are doing and they do it well. We enjoyed the Jamón croquettes, patatas bravas, “the Jamón Experience” and the Iberian Cheese Platter. I will be coming here again! It’s a great place to have some wine and good food with friends.
I really enjoyed it and look forward to coming back and trying everything on the menu. Service was slower than average for Dallas but probably faster than average compared to Madrid. Prices were reasonable and the Croquetas de Jamon were are good as any I ever had in Spain!
The location can be tricky to get to and leave, however there is valet parking which there is no fee...tip only. We sat upstairs where there was a DJ and it wasn't necessarily overbearing, but was rather loud. The wait staff were attentive and knew the menu rather well. Unfortunately, due to the supply chain issues, certain menu items were unavailable. The food that we did order met and exceeded our expectations in most cases. The value was ideal. The check was not outrageous and quite frankly, we would go again. Cheers!
Awesome! Closest thing to Spain in this part of the country. Very very good
Fantastic. Felt safe abs good amazing! Wait staff all lovely!!!
Great experience! 100% real Spanish food, great quality and great service. A must !
First time checking out Enrique Tomas and won’t be the last! Awesome ambience, great service, and exceptional food! Would highly recommend, can’t wait to come back!
Had a great family dinner on aSunday night. Everything is fresh and flavorful. Must try the jamon sampler. Each jamon has unique flavor and texture. Whole family enjoyed our dinner.
Fantastic service, incredible lively environment, and exquisite, authentic Spanish cuisine!
Has potential, but the service has a lot to improve on. Showed up on time for a reservation and we waited 30 minutes at the bar for the table. No apology.
Waiter wasn’t much better, and seemed disorganized through the night.
This place does have potential, but man does the service need to improve.
Go for the Spanish jamon and manchego dip (like fondue with bread).
I often ate at Enrique Tomas' special restaurants in Madrid. This is the only one of his chain in the US...and its just as great as those in Spain.
Jose Luis and his team are very attentive and knowledgeable. If you haven't tasted the world's best jamons you are in for a treat. The warm manchego dip with crusty bread and the incredible papas bravas are worth the trip by themselves.
Sitting outside with tapas and rioja is a great way to spend an afternoon!
My new fave in Dallas!
Authentic Spanish tapas with fabulous atmosphere and service. Anyone who has spent time in Spain, or daydreams about going, should go here!
First night out in months and we were very happy with the food and service. Will definitely be back soon!
Go for the ham! The wine choices are good. The other dishes don't quite hit the mark.
It was my birthday. I went with my family and it was a super experience. Eating Spanish food without getting out of the Texas.
What a great dining experience! We ordered several dishes to share and celebrate my husband’s birthday and end of quarantine. José took care of us and helped us choose the best dishes in the house. We loved it and we will be going back again soon 👍🏼
Great Restaurant, Have dined in before and today did takeout. Both experiences were outstanding! Amazing food and by far the most friendly staff and great service. Highly recommend this restaurant !
Contrary to some of the other reviews, I would say that the service was prompt and perhaps they’ve worked out the kinks of opening a new restaurant.
The food was excellent. We had the jamon experience and the cheese platter to start. It was well worth it. For the main course we had the octopus and the shrimp. Portions were a little small but it was very good.
We will certainly be heading back.
If you like Jamon iberico (spanish cured ham) this is the place for you. They portray themselves as a tapas restaurant but most of their tapas center on their specialty which is the spanish ham famous for coming from pigs which have been raised on acorns. Their portions are more generous than most tapas and the prices reflect that. The jamon platter with bread and tomatoes was excellent, as were the asparagus wrapped in ham and the Melted Manchego cheese dip (comes with lots of good bread). The Sangria does not come in a pitcher and by the glass is pricey (but very authentic and good- no soda water added!) The ham croquettes were a bit mushy for me but they were the favorite of one of my dinner companions so a matter of taste. Their version of Patatas braves comes with fried eqqs? we had them hold the eggs and they were good but the sauce was a spicy mayo based sauce vs what i typically think of. And the potatoes were wedges that could have been more crisp. Gazpacho was excellent and relatively affordable. Did not try the garlic shrimp ($19 for 5 shrimp) or the Seafood Paella ($19 but you have to order for a minimum of two so you have to really commit to an entree of Paella - vs a tapa tasting). Hope they change that policy. A single serving is a nice way to introduce paella to those unfamiliar with the dish. Their tortilla was really the only disappointment of the night. two inch high slab with mushy potato/egg mixture that didn't have much taste. I would pass on this one. The main dining room is downstairs with a bar upstairs that apparently has a dj starting around 8 and they stay open til 2:00. Overall a nice restaurant with great food IF you like "jamon" but be prepared to spend some money.
We had a group of 6 for a late dinner. Fantastic food and service. Really enjoyed the Spanish wine selection. The seafood dishes were great in addition to the jamon. Get the grilled octopus! Looking forward to our next visit!
They are still brand new. The service need training. They don’t know their food, their wine, anything. Some do, but not the waiter we had. They need more time
Great location and the restaurant looks fantastic. Very cool to see the meats being cut. Food was good. Service was slow. Incredibly slow. The restaurant was not busy, and it still took about 30mins for each course to come out. We were originally served warm water/no ice. We had to ask multiple serves for ice/cold water. Our dinner which was two appetizers took nearly two hours. We kept being told our food was on its way, but it clearly was not on its way. This is as a real bummer. We wanted this place to be good so bad as we live walking distance away. Unfortunately we will not be returning. Hopefully these issues will resolve with time.
Food was really good! But the noise make it impossible to talk... we have to scream at each other... portions are small but soooo good
Great atmosphere, service, cheese, and jamón!! We will definitely return!
Overall, it was good. Compared to its neighbor Barcelona, it was a lot more expensive a lot less shareable the wine was mediocre and expensive and our server was clearly overwhelmed. Dirty dishes stayed on our table for a long time, we had to ask for bread three separate times because he wouldn’t bring it, there was no recollection of the wine we had previously ordered. It just seems like we were bothered to be there. The ambience is loud for it not even being fall, they clearly did not put any sound barriers in the restaurant. We spent about $180 to have meat and cheese, some wine and no entrées. Just felt expensive for what it was, and not a stellar food service.
What an amazing place!! Unique menu, phenomenal staff and lovely venue. Will definitely be back and excited to try more of the menu options!
There are tables that are better comfort wise. Recommend to sit by the wall versus the windows. Battled the chain for the shades and had a person that kept bouncing behind me moving the seat back constantly.
Service was impeccable, definitely a team that has the customer at heart. Food was excellent. Presentation is not way up there but it didn’t matter when you tasted the deliciousness!
Wine selections were perfect for the menu. Will be back soon!
I was so excited to finally be able to try out Enrique Tomas. Boy did it disappoint! From the start, our table for two was not ready at the reservation time. As other couples were checking in with the host, they were offered complimentary champaign while they waited on their table, but we were ignored.
The infamous jamon Imberico was phenomenal. Everything else we had was boring and overpriced. We tried the manchego cheese bites, which came out as your standard cheddar cheese cubes. The burrata appetizer was sour and inedible. The sangria was so sweet that I got a headache after I finished the first glass. I tried to get a glass of wine but they were out of the selection, and the waiter got upset that I wouldn't order a different kind. Needless to say, I left Tomas hungry and sad. I hope Mr. Tomas visits and monitors his Dallas restaurant closely, or I fear it will close in 2 months time.
I tried hard to find something wrong with the food, but couldn't find any. The Chipirones we're well sourced and cooked properly. The jamon is the main act. You've gotta get it, and might as well shell out for the 36 month Pata Negra; It's superb.they do a really great job on the sourcing of their ingredients. This place is a definite do over for me.
Food was adequate...clearly, the jamon is the star of the show, but otherwise, I think there are better tapas options in town. Our food was rushed...the server informed us that “this is the way they do it in Spain” my dinner companion and I have been to Spain many times, and do not recall this tradition.
All in all, I might return, but would not recommend as a must try to others
Increible! The best jamon I've had outside of Spain and the wait staff could not have been more friendly.
We went the first weekend Enrique Tomas opened. We expected things to be a little crazy but we’re pleasantly surprised at how well service went. The food was excellent and the servers were warm, friendly and knowledgeable. We were really happy to have access to the beautiful jamon iberico and other dishes we had enjoyed while visiting Spain.
The lounge had not yet opened when we visited so we look forward to trying it when we return.
Considering that the restaurant has only been open a few days, we had an outstanding evening and a wonderful meal. Intimate setting with remarkable Jamon Iberico presentations. The service was excellent - even with the lively crowd of a Saturday night. Management was present on the floor and seemed to be greeting every table. If you've never been to Spain, Europe or Mexico to experience a restaurant like this, get there. I can't wait for the upstairs tapas and cocktail lounge to open.
Very good ham, excellent wine. The system of service is beset with a disease that is now common in Dallas: A knowledgeable person takes the order and is able to answer question, then the food is plunked down by some busboy who has no idea what he just brought you. As I said, this possibly cost saving system is unpleasant. Quit that!
