Erpingham House - Brighton
We're 100% plant-based, plastic-free & mostly gluten-free/organic. Our second location in Brighton takes the success of our flagship restaurant in Norwich & progresses our offering, curated by executive chef Jason Wood, former culinary director at Plant Food & Wine, Los Angeles.
Came for brunch and had the Chickpea-based Succa and Mushroom toast, with a glass of the 0% prosecco. Overall the food was amazing, service was fantastic and came away feeling satisfied and overjoyed. 100% down to the lovely Julia (I believe was her name) who made our short visit exactly what we needed.
The food was amazing and did not taste like being in a Vegan restaurant.
Our first time dining at Erpingham House and we weren't disappointed. The food was well prepared and presented and very tasty. We eat mostly vegan and tend to have high standards. Erpingham ticked all the boxes and we'll be back for sure.
A big accolade to Dani our waitress for the night. She was efficient, personable, accommodating and had an overall wonderful attitude - it was much appreciated and seldom found in restaurants these days. Thank you Dani!
I would say it was definitely overpriced. Pasta was not great.
Visited with work colleagues last night and had a perfect evening! Fresh, vibrant, beautiful food in a decadent setting. The banana blossom 'fsh' and smashed potatoes were melt in the mouth, incredible depth of flavour and the pistachio tiramisu and rum baba were exceptional. Professional and warm service from Danni and Grace. Already planning our next visit, can see this becoming our favourite spot in the Laines.
Overall excellent food ,except one very dry Rum Baba!
Staff really pleasant and friendly.
Upstairs interior where we sat needs attention to complete the dining experience.
Lovely little place, amazing food (even the bread and olives were a step-up in quality) and super attentive, humble and friendly service. Will definitely return soon! The burger is to die for....
2 from 4 starters were good.
2 from 4 main courses were good, one too small so ordered another, giving 3 from 5.
1 dessert good, 1 desert average, 2 deserts poor: no flavour in bought in tart, rum baba was a cold and heavy dough ball.
We expected so much more, pricing not consistent with quality, which needs to be better.
There was a great choice of dishes and so difficult to choose, but both plates were absolutely delicious. The fact that the ingredients are all locally sourced, where possible, is great news too. Service was friendly, informative, and attentive. Really impressed and will be returning very soon.
This place is awesome. The interior is so pretty. The lighting is spot on. The food portions generous and so tasty. I loved everything about it
Really impressed with the design and decor inside. Great location. Couldn’t fault the food & the deserts were delicious. Looking forward to trying their Sunday roast next time!
Loved our visit to Erpingham House! Great food and a friendly welcome
My wife and I had a lovely evening out at Erpingham House. Fantastic food, the stand out being the banana blossom fish. Would highly recommend to everyone not just plant eaters.
Really lovely great restaurant to add to Brighton Vegan food scene. Had a delicious dinner there. A really lovely set up and a great location! Would like to see a few more options on the menu and cocktails
Excellent food, give this place a try! The Warm olives are a must.
A fantastic way to spend a birthday evening, the menu is inventive, filling and delicious in equal measure. The atmosphere and ambience of the restaurant is superb, perfect for a romantic evening. Our server Sam was friendly and attentive and did a wonderful job. We would happily visit again to try more of the menu!
Fantastic food! Absolutely would recommend to anyone who is thinking of eating here.
Great to have a choice of everything on the menu which met our requirements..... All plant based!
We went on the first night opening after lockdown and the staff did an incredible job!
Well done to everyone for a super job. We will be back soon!
We attending on the opening night so expected some teething problems, however there was compensation for some quite major issues:
Menu was limited (both food and drink)
The waiter spilt Our bottle of wine over the table and there was no offer of a discount or glass of wine to make up for what was spilt
Food was good but portions were quite small
Desserts were limited and nothing available for nut allergies. There was also no effort to make them look nice, it was a small tart from the fridge put on a plate, no cream, decoration etc and for around £8-10 you’d expect more
We never had sight of the final bill, we were just told how much to pay each (as we were splitting the bill), not even receipts given so we just hope we paid the right amount! Was tip included? How much? This should all have been provided to us by seeing the final bill as you would in every other restaurant.
Expensive for the quality of the food
Overall a bit disappointed but understand it was the first night so hopefully will improve.
