Had the Sunday lunch, good except for potatoes appeared to be reheated so outer skin was overly tough. Not much atmosphere. Staff pleasant but appear to be inexperienced.
Excellent service and the manager went over and above to make us feel welcome and to help us celebrate a special occasion. I enjoyed the food and would recommend this restaurant. Thank you
the food was amazing, the service was excellent, what more could you want, I will definitely go back there ;)
Food was amazing .... waitress was lovely and very attentive.... however one waiter when we moved from the table so we could allow for the next party to be seated was very rude when we asked for drinks .... when I booked I wasn’t aware the table was needed for another party .... so we hadn’t paid the bill... as manager had told us to be seated in an area he!d reserved for me & my party ... when my friend approached the waiter fir drinks he rudely pointed to the bar.... however overall food was amazing & rest of the staff were great Ally
Has the setting and decor potential to be one of the nicest restaurants in Solihull, but the service was just shocking.
Stood at the bar for 3 minutes without being spoken to or served. Finally got a drink, then the other 8 people in the party turned up. We went through to the table and waited 10 minutes to be asked for our drinks order. We were having afternoon tea of which the food turned up roughly 15 minutes before any drinks arrived at the table (including bottles of wine which could've been bought straight over?). We were never asked if we wanted tea we had to call the waitress over and inquire of its whereabouts, even though we were told it was unlimited.
Basically, it was a Saturday afternoon and there were 2 waitress' working and 1 manager, and that was serving our table of 9, a baby shower of 15, and then 6-7 other tables. Nowhere near enough staff. Left feeling disappointed. Unless I catch wind that the service has drastically improved, I will not be returning.
Great experience here yet again. At first service was unorganised but seem to have their act together. Food has always been very very good!
My favourite place to eat out at present. Hope it continues
Great value afternoon tea for two. Service was excellent.
From the moment we arrived we were made most welcome . Our first time as here on holiday. Ambience was fun and whilst the restaurant was mostly “ mature” folk the other area was full of much younger folk having a great time. We were only given the option of 6.30 or 9.15 to eat so having chosen the earlier time didn’t realise the al a carte menu didn’t start until 7pm. Did I miss it on the website ? Turned out not to have been a problem as the set menu was great and we really enjoyed it. Would certainly visit again if in the area.
Was a nice experience for a Saturday afternoon out with friends. The restaurant and bar we very quiet. We were acknowledged on arrival and then left in the reception area for around 5 minutes whilst other diners were being attended to. The food from the set menu was ok, not as good as previously experienced.
I booked a table to celebrate mine and my friends belated 30th birthday. When we arrived, we were rudely greeted by a tall man in a grey suit who told us our table wasn’t ready and take a seat at the bar. After 15 minutes, we asked the bartender if he could check if our table was ready (we could see the restaurant was empty). Apparently the manager said he would check and get back to us, another 20 minutes pass and two more asks to the bartender if our table was ready (the bartender was superb but the manager clearly didn’t give a crap about our booking). Eventually we ask the bartender to cancel our booking as we didn’t want to stay (it’s now 9.30pm, 45 minutes after we were supposed to eat). Apparently he ‘forgot’. 4 times?!?! The bartender said he would get the manager to come over, obviously the manager never never did. No apologies, no attempt to try and get us to eat, even though he was swanning around the empty restaurant with his air of arrogance. Never going back and will certainly not recommend. It all attributes to the one manager in the grey suit who just rude and arrogant.
The food was amazing.
Couldn't fault them.
New find n Solihull. Very empty (early Thursday evening), music a bit loud. Excellent food - particularly good amuse bouche - carrot, parsley and orange soup. Good quality starters and mains and reasonably priced wine list.
Enjoyable evening we went on a Wednesday night as it was a birthday. There were a few people dining but was enjoyable as you could have a conversation without music being loud.
Booked into Esabella’s last minute midweek and it did not disappoint. The complimentary bread and amuse bouche were delicious. The open lobster ravioli starter was perfect and the duck main was a taste sensation.
We had a fantastic time; a hidden gem! Friendly helpful staff, and a pleasant atmosphere with impressive live music. While the crispy beef was rather salty to our taste, the lamb is superb and an absolute treat!!! A wonderful dining experience at a reasonable price.
Everything was spot on, from start to finish. Staff were faultless and couldn't do enough for me. I was there for my girlfriends birthday and they even came out with a happy birthday plate and cocktails for her free of charge. Food was perfect and good portion sizes compared to similar priced menus. I'd go back in a heartbeat and worth every penny. My only criticism is in the bar area the music was a bit loud before the live singer came on but thats just being picky. And the menu online was different to the restaurant when we got there.
Really enjoyed the food. Set price for 2 course or 3 course (supplement for steak). Well worth it though. Service was a little slow but better than being fawned over. Ambience was a little loud but quietened down as early evening drinkers moved on. Somewhere I’ll come back to in future.
Usually visit once a month and the consistent quality of the food and service is excellent, can be a little quiet with minimal atmosphere.
I would recommend esabellas to a friend. The food is very good. However for us this time service was not good. Mix up with our booking meant we were seated in the front by the window and as a result were often forgotten. Had to chase our order and drinks several times. Food is fairly reasonably priced for the good quality. Drinks are ridiculously expensive. I was about to arrange a booking for a works party for 25 people but it proved to be too expensive for my colleagues. We all work for the NHS.
Uncomfortable, poorly organised and a big 20+ noisy party in the middle of the room plus the waitress knocking into our table every time she walked past, meant that we didn’t even stay to order drinks. Very disappointed
We went for Father’s Day and really weren’t disappointed. We had a little wait for the table but that gave us an excuse to have a drink from the bar and wait for the remainder of the party to arrive. We had various staters, however a special mention to the lobster and prawn open ravioli. I do hope that this features as a permanent fixture, was absolutely amazing. The mains were all of excellent quality, arrived in a timely manner, hot, with no complaints. Dessert excellent too. Would definitely recommend.... in fact we already have.
The restaurant seems to be a cross between a bar, club and restaurant - not quite sure what it’s trying to be. Having said that, the atmosphere was good if you like the music as we did. The service was poor unfortunately. Staff were not well trained with the service level no better than a fast food operation. The food was better but delays out of the kitchen meant that our meals were on the light side of warm rather than hot. The restaurant definitely has potential but more training and attention to detail is required at the price point.
Defiantly will visit Esabella's again soon, This was our second time that we booked in 10 days and were exstreemly happy.
Great food really good quality.
Staff and service excellent will be back thanks
Excellent service on a relatively quiet evening- perhaps due to the Champions League Final on TV. Food was perfect in every respect and represented good value for money.
Lovely afternoon tea staff so friendly
Very relaxing lovely deco ...defo b back again
Esabellas offers something that little bit different in Solihull. Very welcoming with a good menu.
Good food cooked well. Steak probably the best I've ever had. Ambiance very good. Decor very nice.
Great night! The private dinning area is lovely.
The live music was fab
First time relay impressed with quality. Fine dining at a great price . Will be back many thanks
what a wonderful experience the food was superb and great value for money we chose from the pre fixed menu which we really enjoyed
we were so pleased we re booked fpr a birthday a week later
Afternoon tea was delicious and was enjoyed by all. Will definitely book again.
Wonderful staff (especially the northerner) really made us feel welcome the lady I didn’t get her name and Gary I think it was very really polite professional and gave personal service to each customer from what I could see, amazing food definitely recommend the cheesecake if we were local I would be in here weekly the singer that was on was fantastic only criticism and this is me trying to find a fault every so slightly loud on occasion but this was just when we were in the bar area so understandable we had wonderful food and a lovely time.
Enjoyed a chilled evening with friends, good atmosphere and food was very good.
Quality food and very reasonable prices.
Is right up there with much more expensive restaurants.
Service is effective and friendly
Nice place with good food. The waiter wasn't very friendly and a little insincere: it seemed like he didn't really want to be there. My wife and I were looking for an intimate environment to enjoy a meal, but having a bar-stool table nearby and the bar very close detracted from the ambiance. Overall, we enjoyed it, but won't rush to go back.
Eight of us went there for the first time, recently. Everyone enjoyed the setting, food and the occasion. We will definitely return.
Seems its better as a late night bar than a restaurant. Starter was ok, but our mains side was served cold and not cooked to our preference (which was asked for). Sent one main back for to be re-coked which and received the same plate back. Punching above its weight, apart from its pricing.
I would recommend for drinks me and wife had steak very very poor worst cut of steak I ever had best part of meal was the chips waiter offered refund I declined just won’t eat or recommend it for food drinks music great
