Estia Taverna – Radnor
Definitely a popular place. The restaurant was crowded, yet controlled. The servers were attentive and polite and the food was delicious! All in all a wonderful experience. I highly recommend!
Certain foods were excellent, but the fish price fix platter contained a very small piece of fish and orzo that was soaked with a sweet marinara that overpowered the orzo. The moussaka was good, but it was a bit greasy and not the best I’ve had in Phila. The Greek salad and spanakopita were excellent.
Seafood always top notch.
Sister to Philly Estia- both equally terrific
Staff was rude
Great as always.
Everything from the waitstaff, to the food, to the location was excellent. I would highly recommend this dining experience to anyone who enjoy Greek food or would like to venture into it for the first time.
One of my favorite restaurants. I love the octopus and Estia chips. Had the Chilean sea bass and it was perfectly prepared. Our server, George, was very attentive and a great host.
The server was excellent and had a great memory. She remembered us from the last time some month ago. The food very good as ever.
If you like lamb then this is the place to go. It was by far some of the best lamb chops I ever had.
We eat at Estia frequently and love the food. On this visit, a busy Saturday night, we had our first negative experience. We had dirty glasses and bread plates and never got the bread and hummus until we asked after the appetizers were served. The server seems distracted and forgot things like clean bread plates and coming back, a sharing plate for the whole fist entree, and getting an answer to a question we asked about one of the entrees. While the appetizers were very good (octopus , mussels, Greek salad and the amazing Estia Chips), all four entrees were over cooked and dry. We ordered the giant prawns (couldn’t remove the meat from the shells), salmon, and the whole Fagri (extremely dry). To be fair, we didn’t complain because the place was so business and we didn’t want to wait for the new dishes to be prepared. We will go back but we’re very disappointed with our meal and service. We spent well over $300 and left frustrated.
The food is delicious... the staff are attentive & knowledgeable... & the atmosphere is relaxing. Our go-to place when we want to treat ourselves!
Food, service by Paige, and atmosphere were all outstanding. Estia is the best
Estia is the best! I feel so lucky to have a place so great close by.
Went for early dinner. Fish dish came back overcooked and extremely small. No one in the restaurant and they still messed up our order. Completely missed one guest order so we all ate and then we we watched him eat his meal alone. No offer of compensation for their mess up.
Horrible meal! Terrible service. Half of the order wasn’t delivered and all the staff said was there was a problem with the printer The food was below usual standards as well.
We like Estia very much. The food is excellent and the service is very friendly.
I have only 2 less favorable comments:
-It is expensive.
-The noise level is very destructive. We sat at a table for 6 which was large and very nice but the noise was too loud, I could barely hear the people who set across the table from me.
Spectacular selections of authentic Greek feasts Fresh fish & Lamb are superb. Never disappoints
The ambience takes you away to s peaceful place as if you were on the coasts of 🇮🇹 Italy and of course 🇬🇷 Greece
Always a treat
Lunch date..we shared the sardines, the pita plate with 3 red pepper hummus, eggplant & potato..all good. Greek salad too. We will be back!
Perfect evening; food was awesome along with the service. Could not ask for a better experience.
The atmosphere was nice, food was very good but waiter and policies were not so much. Had to wait for 3rd guest to arrive, my friend asked if we could have the hummus and bread that you get while we waited especially since not given to us the last visit. He said you have to order first. Then I asked for a dessert to go on a separate check and he said he couldn’t give me a separate check. He also was not very attentive or nice.
Food is always great. Reservation always on time. Love having dinner there with friends or for celebrations.
Always my first choice. Love the swordfish kabob.
It’s very good but expensive
The food was fresh, seasoned well and served hot by our very attentive server, Page and her team! Thank you!
We have eaten dinner at this restaurant on multiple occasions and it is one of our favorites. This was our first time for lunch and the two course lunch special offers numerous options at a very reasonable price. You may also order other items for an additional charge, so you do not feel limited In your choices. Although our server was friendly, we rarely saw him after placing our order - we had to request bread for the table and drink refills from a different server.
If this had been our first visit to Estia, I’m not sure how enthusiastic we would have been to return, despite the excellent food.
Food as always, was delicious, fresh and beautifully prepared. Thank you Estia.
We’ve always enjoyed lunch here Food is great. We had a server in training who did a wonderful job. It is a bit pricey and especially at dinner, so we only go for lunch
This is one of our favorite restaurants; great food, service and ambiance!
As always the halibut was delicious
As usual Great!
Our server was knowledgeable, efficient, and very kind! She didn’t rush us and took the time to explain the menu and provided options for ordering. We appreciated her honesty and guidance while choosing our courses. And absolutely everything we ate was delicious!
The food is excellent, a genuine taste of Greece. On this particular Saturday night, the venue was noisy, and service was exceedingly slow. The waitstaff simply did not have the time to be attentive. Dinner for four with drinks cost $350.00. But the excellence of the food makes this something worth doing upon occasion.
Absolutely outstanding! One of our favorites. Service is top notch, delicious bread and unbeatable entrees.
Very interesting menu. Food well prepared. Always a pleasant experience.
The fixed price menu has alot to choose from; $35 set price for 3 courses. Portions are good for the price; the presentation could be a little nicer. The lamb chops were excellent. Great wine list by the glass. Good service; efficient and unobtrusive. Noise level on a Monday night was high. Would definitely go back.
My daughter, her husband and I dined at Estia on Sunday night. We started with the Estia stack which was delicious and generous size. I had the roasted chicken. It was moist and full of flavor. They both had fish, but, different. They raved about their dinners. Very special!
The food was delicious but the service was poor. There were almost no customers in the restaurant and the one waiter and his assistant were simply not responsive or prompt. I expect better service from Estia
Table for two was a bit uncomfortable. Sunk into seating and was too low to eat comfortably.
Food was fabulous.
Celebrated our anniversary at Estia!
Good atmosphere and service but I was disappointed with the food, a bit bland. Seafood is expensive. I'd like to see more vegetarian main courses.
