Th e service has been poor for the last five times that I dined at milos. Very slow. Forgotten parts of orders. Lack of attention to detail. I have been dining at milos since I am a child ( in Montreal ) and very disappointed that the London experience never measures up.
Service was poor - our water was never topped up and we didn't finish the wine as it wasn't offered.
Food not good enough and service Ok but not great...
Very, very Salty clam spaghetti and no real apology when this was pointed out
Took a long time to get served and the food was very disappointing
Amazingly good service, food at top quality!! A* guaranteed.
Excellent food and atmosphere.
The lobster pasta was amazing!!
Excellent, tasty and healthy Greek food. Very good service and nice atmosphere. An excellent moment to recommend.
Greek cuisine in an amazing venue with a great vibe and service
I had greater expectations about this restaurant! The food was not what I expected to be, and there is no value for money! Everything is overcharged and without some exceptional tastes. We had to return one plate because it didn't taste good at all! At least they didn't charge us for that.
Excellent service! Very welcoming and accommodating staff. The freshest fish in London. A restaurant that you must try!! 5 Stars
I've experienced all Milos locations including Athens. London was definitely on point. A+ across the board. Dined at the bar -Dimitri was knowledgeable and professional. Fish display very impressive.
Very average food and noisy restaurant - would not return. I felt very overpriced for what we had.
Great food, service and atmosphere
Great experience after our previous in New York. Great food and friendly atmosphere.
Great food, a nice atmosphere and good service. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Greek cuisine.
Food not as good or fresh as it used to be unfortunately. Staff very focused o trying to pour wine/ water quickly to try to get you to buy another bottle- but amazing decor and fun ambience - just don’t go for the food...
Noisy, poor service , very expensive wine list
Great experience! I went there for lunch before seeing The Phantom Of The Opera. The atmosphere, the service, the food and the location are just fabulous. I would definitely go back again.
Excellent food, well presented and waiting staff first rate. The lady covering entry and table allocation was less so - obviously a bad day in her world - but everyone else made up for that with lots of charm and professionalism.
This was our second visit to Milos and we had a lovely evening, but it was a bit let down by the service.
We had to ask twice for our empty glasses to be topped up. Waiters seemed more interested in chatting at the station.
Our food was great. However because we ordered from the a la carte menu instead of the set lunch menu, it took 45 minutes for our lunch to arrive. They were so busy that we got the olive oil but no bread ?!!! I have to ask for our bread 30 minutes into our wait. The service was very good but you have to ask for it since they are too busy with the rest.
No table other than upstairs which has no atmosphere. Also they push Greek wine which is not very good and very expensive.
Another good meal at Milos, you just can beat their grilled fish!
The rate of the food is over
The service and food was excellent! Would definitely recommend and will go back when I am in London again!
Wonderful sea food! Wonderful service! Well done :)
After a shaky start as we were seated under a draft, we were up told it would be turned down but decided to move tables, we had a very nice lunch. The salmon tartare was delicious and we both enjoyed the se bream. The portion sizes were good but once again when I asked for gluten free bread toast was delivered. Also we got very confused with the wine list and didn’t realise until we go the bill that we spent about £30 more than intended. Lucky that the set menu is very good value!
I love this place and it is always a pleasure to come back. Great fish and very nice atmosphere.
Another outstanding experience at Milos. On arrival we were greeted by by the friendly staff and our eyes were tantalised by the stunning fresh fish display. We opted for the set menu and were not disappointed when the food arrived. Displayed on the plates to perfection accompanied by toasted village bread with olive oil to dip in. There was not a long delay between courses and the staff were on hand at all times to predict your needs and topped up the water glasses without being asked. The final surprise was that the person who was celebrating a birthday received a delicious piece of Galaktombouriko decorated with a candle and on a plate with Happy Birthday piped on it with chocolate. A very memorable outing.
The front desk was very rude so I didn’t enjoy the dinner with my wife.
An amazing fish with great Greek wine and the very one and only Franck and the catering manager. To eat and ear and eat again and again.
The service was slow and the staff needed more training. Friendly, food quality great but service lacking more professionalism.
Amazing food ,the freshest ingredients
Very long wait of more than an hour to have our food - which is ok for dinner, but not for lunch,,,
It was my birthday and I had a lovely evening. Greek salad very good value....where do you get your tomat? Fab x
I always love Milos - Vegas, Athens, New York and now London. Soon - Miami! Someday, Montreal! I always recommend it. London was a little disappointing - haughty hostess, limited fish offerings (no langoustinoes, smallish shrimp on a very busy night and not that late), stingy pours on pre dinner whiskeys. But, the wait staff were engaging and wonderful, the grilled Dorado superb. Maybe you might teach your front seating staff some of the personal charms of the service staff - that would help your reviews (Vegas has the same problem). Loukimades - no complaints there! Milos always wins with me, maybe not so much the London location.
Excellent service and delicious food. The Milos Special and grilled octopus were outstanding.
I went on a recommendation from a friend, that goes there twice weekly.
It's elegant and clean... and utterly forgettable.
I can't remember anything positive about the food there.
It's stuck in 1996 in a world with distinct flavours created by chefs with imagination.(Check Michelin guide)
The presentation of food is like that of a family run restaurant in Greece, not an upscale restaurant with a quality chef. When I pay $100 for a dish - I expect something more than just a cut open grilled fish with capers and lemon.
That aside, their traditional dishes weren't remarkable at all.
I like strong flavors, but not when they exclude other flavours - stuffed courgette/zucchini flowers tasted only of the bitterness of the cheese. I'll stick with the Italian version, where it's a balance of flavours.
I would not return there, even if the food were free - it's just a waste of time.
I visited Milos restaurant on a Saturday evening at 8pm We had booked a table for 4 people. It was a very busy evening, but nothing unexpected for the location and time of the day.
The food was really great as the fish was fresh as well as the starters. However, the portion of the fish was not equally split to all 4 of us ( so we had to do some jiggery pokery not to leave anyone hungry - and it was a big fish; almost 1.9kg for the 4 of us). The Milos special starter supposingly also had aubergines in it, but ours didn't. The octopus was excellent. The greek salad uneccesarilly expensive for what it is. We paid about 90 pounds each with a bottle of wine and coke. Not bad for central London and fresh frish, however consider you can probably pay the same for 1 Michelin star restaurants too and this was not definitely fine dining.
The space is lovely, bit nothing too special - simple but elegant.
The crowd was mixed but ended up being a Mayfair escort type club later at night which was disappointing.
The service though was unacceptable. The place was run with waitressing end up being in a greek taverna. Everyone was rushing around and were extremely unaware of what constitutes polite waitressing. They would pick up unfinished plates and, sometimes, were over the top attentive, almost intrusive. This way, none of us enjoyed the dinner as we had constantly someone over our shoulder uneccessarily fiddling with our meal.
We spoke to the manager, but he was indifferent. Hence, we decided not to visit again. Sadly, most of our friends had a similar experience so decided to avoid visiting too.
I work around the area, which would make it convenient for a nice lunch, but, sadly, I will not want to experience a similar situation during my meal.
Starters - Ceviche, Octopus & salad - were fresh, well prep’ed And came quickly. Main 1 & 2 - 2 x Dorado - were cooked simply as in Greece and retained the freshness and lightness if that species. Main 3 - chops for the non pescatarian! - were nicely done, no “lamby-ness” to the dish. Dessert - walnut cake, yoghurt martini and fresh fruit - were perfect finish. I adore Greek white wines and the Malagousia was perfect for those eating fish. Airy ambience but surprisingly homely in such a large room with the grand coach-sized door. Attentive and knowledgeable service, attentive but nit fawning. If my wife goes there regularly it _must_ be good value for money (bearing in mind the area!). THE place to go if you appreciate fresh fish.
