Kindly note that ‘counter’ bookings are along the kitchen bar in front of the chefs and ‘high-top’ bookings are our two small tables adjacent to the kitchen bar.
Loved every moment. But I knew I would. Amazing food. Great atmosphere
On a positive side a very nice food. Feels more intimate than The Barbary or The Palomar. Having said that we left disappointed. We put our order an had our tomato salad served in about 10 minutes and then had to wait for good 20-30 minutes for the second dish. We literally had to say “we are hungry” to the waiter. There was a clear rush at the kitchen. We were seated at around 6pm at 7.40pm exact when we still had our desert in front of us, a manager asked us to free the table for next group of guests. We haven’t said a word and just asked for a bill. With £150 bill for two we felt really not welcomed. Great food but if you want to have a nice intimate dinner and not being pushed out of the door at your last spoon of pudding perhaps look for something else.
I would recommend Evelyn's table to a friend but only with the knowledge that they were happy to eat quick and get out! I appreciate the website mentions a 1:45 dining period but if the restaurant is going to keep this they need to ensure service is quick enough for diners to have time to enjoy all courses. We were rushed off our table before being able to order dessert. Push dining times to 2:15 and do it properly - Customers paying £50-80 a head deserve time to enjoy the ambiance and the food. Chefs, waiters and and food were awesome just think the set-up needs tweaking.
Took my wife for our 4th wedding anniversary and she loved it. I surprised her because we are due our first daughter in 3 months and her name is Evelyn! The food was stunning! I loved watching the chefs work and the intimacy was great
Great dining experience in a small basement, sat at the counter you can see all the food being prepared in front of you. Great evening
Fantastic. Went as solo diner on business travel. Sitting at the counter is like a performance art experience. Really fun to see the chef and team at work - like a well oiled machine. Food was terrific. Service even better. Checkin at the pub upstairs, have a drink and wait to be exported into this basement kitchen with approx 18 seats (12 at the counter). There is also a great cocktail bar in the 2nd floor. I liked it so much I brought a friend the next night since.i5 might be awhile before I get back to London.
Went with my boyfriend and two best friends. We literally ate the whole menu. The staff were just a joy, the food was delicious. Wine menu was huge and very enjoyable. Just a little gem. We had a wonderful evening.
Never dissappointed. One of my favorite restaurants in London. Everything is high quality, not just food, also service and ambiance. One of a kind. A lot of passion and love on all fronts and therefore an excellent outcome. Simple! Well done.
Excellent food and an excellent service overall. The chef was serving and explaining all dishes as they were prepared. Highly recommended
Wonderful meal. Thank you Luke and team.
They didn’t pour a full glass of wine. They poured about 75% of a glass and charged full price the entire night.
Excellent food, in a really cool setting. Love sitting at the bar watching the chefs prepare the food.
We had such a great time at Evelyn's Table - the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable of each dish. The food was delicious and we had great wine! We had a cocktail at the bar upstairs afterwards also which was a nice way to round off our evening. Such a lovely, intimate restaurant and watching the chef's at work is always an added bonus - go now.
Everything about this meal was perfection.
A real gem. Well done guys, great food, intimate setting, friendly staff .
Came here on a Friday evening for dinner, tried the beef tartare with oyster mayonnaise, tomato and mozzarella salad with basil sorbet (my fav), tagliatelle pasta with rabbit ragu and pollock with crispy potatoes. Good selection of dishes to share between 2 people, very tasty and staff were friendly! Just about squeezed room for pavlova at the end for dessert- no regrets! Would come back again
fantastic experience, lovely intimate dining in a cool and cosy environment, outstanding staff and chefs, food amazing 5 stars all round!
We were very happy with the quality of the food and the overall level of service. Fantastic dishes prepared right in front of you in a casual environment. An absolute hidden gem, though on the upper end in terms of price.
Food is amazing! A small place but you feel at home and you can see the chef cook! All the staff were friendly. Good late around 8:30-9pm it s more quiet
Excellent concept: 12 places at the counter with full view of and access to the three chefs. Great menu and delicious, seasonal, fresh food. Particularly good fish and steak. Very friendly and efficient service.
it was our wedding anniversary and I was great experience
Unique and intimate dining experience. Amazing ambience and exquisite food. A meal like nothing we’ve ever had before. Being able to converse with and watch the chefs as they prepared and cooked our food was incredible and to the highest of standards. Will definitely be back!
This restaurant is exceptional , we will return back for sure!
Great spectacle and dining experience with excellent food.
I loved the secret bar upstairs and the food was wonderful. The staff were fun and informative. I am going to take everyone I know here. A real food experience!
Everything was spot on
This is one of my favourite spots for a romantic date in London! Their food is to die for and the service is impeccable! Excellent choice of music as well! Can't wait to be there again. Well done team!
Amazing food! Incredible. Love it.
My husband and I had the most wonderful dinner and experience at Evelyn’s Table! It was one of our best meals ever. Everyone was kind, helpful and happy to help us. I highly recommend everyone enjoys a meal at Evelyn’s table!!
beef tartar was fantastic. i also loved the spaghetti cacio e pepe. Amazing how you convert a small basement into a very exciting food destination. Loved the experience
The place is nice and cozy, the staff professional and great to talk to and, most importantly, the food is amazing!
One of the best restaurants I have visited. Everything was perfect
Lovely atmosphere and the food was absolutely incredible.
The food was great, and it does not even feel as small as it actually is! Would skip focaccia and charcuterie - average at best and are not a reflection of the rest of a very very well thought through and well executed menu.
Service was amazing - the place is much smaller than expected but lovely and intimate. The food was really good!
Evelyn’s Table was a delightful find on a recent trip to London. Service was great, wines were excellent and the ambiance was fun despite being a solo diner! The smoked leek starter was delicious. The sole was good but not great, and the risotto was the same. Overall I would definitely return, just had hoped to enjoy all the dishes, particularly at those price points. Lovely secret hideaway.
If you love food, GO! Service can be a bit hit or miss, though I must say, it's mostly hit, sometimes it's hard to hear the descriptions of the food from the kitchen side.
booked for my partner's birthday. Cosy, intimate ambiance. Chefs brought us and explained each dish, and service going the extra mile, bringing us a taster wine/cold cuts to try as well. Food was delicious, especially the tartare, lamb and courgette dishes. Will come back for other occasions :)
