Restaurant is good - we anted something a little different than the normal fare. Much of the items on the menu were things I’d never or rarely heard of before, so we took recommendations from our waitress. All three courses were very good, lots of complex flavors that worked well together.
Look at the menu online to get a sense of what the restaurant is offering, then make a reservation and try it. You won’t be disappointed.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review! I'm happy to hear you enjoyed everything!
We enjoyed the food and atmosphere very much. The waiter took care of us and yet was not intrusive. The cocktails were unique and we enjoyed everything we ate. I highly recommend the Falling Rabbit.
Thank you for the review, Ray! I'm happy to hear you enjoyed everything!
We tried the falling rabbit for the first time this past weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our experience! You have to try the craft cocktails best I have had in a really long time. The food was layers of flavor and beautiful presentation without being pretentious! Most importantly the service was on point! We are so happy to a new restaurant OTP that is on par with any in buck-head!
Thank you for the review, see ya soon!
Ambience is good, very eclectic decorations which is nice and creates a good vibe. Tables were super close together even during Covid so that was surprising. Mostly I felt the food fell short though. I’ll give them another shot in the future though as it has the potential to be a great restaurant.
Unique restaurant with interesting menu. Definitely worth it. Great staff, 5 stars!
Thank you for the review! We can't wait to see you again!
It is one of my favorite places. It’s got a great vibe and great service.
Thank you, we can't wait to have you back!
The decor is gorgeous - like being in a French fairy tale. Cocktails are yummy! We sampled 3 different starters, several meals and all 3 desserts and everyone was pleased with the food. It's definitely a little "foodie" so we had to ask for explanations of most things on the menu but it was great!
Great unique food and well priced. Check it out
We enjoyed our experience and look forward to returning to Falling Rabbit. The food, every bite, was excellent. We tried several items and all were delicious. The prices seemed a bit high, but not unreasonable. Our only critique was the lighting was somewhat brighter than we are accustomed to — we would have been more relaxed if the lighting was maybe 10-20% dimmer. Otherwise, the ambience was very enjoyable. When the weather is warmer, we look forward to dining on the spacious patio.
Cool/neat new restaurant in Downtown Duluth - good interesting food/super cool atmosphere - wait staff seemed a bit new and was not entirely up to speed on menu, but giving that this menu changes often, some of that can be expected. However, I felt fully attended to and if asked enough questions could generally find the answers I was looking for.
We had the best seat in the house! Super comfortable corner couch with prime people watching. The food was excellent and the cocktails next level. Everything has a unique twist to it so it’s not quite like anything you’ve ever had before. We’ll be back for sure!
Thank you, we can't wait to have you back! Happy New Year!
Fine dining and great atmosphere. Excited to go back and try new dishes as the menu is changed regularly.
What a wonderful experience! ... from the hostess greeting, to food service, the ambiance and the tasty food, wonderful desert ... everything was excellent... wonderful little place, my husband and I would love to return anytime. This was our first dining experience at Falling Rabbit... and absolutely love it ... we loved the beautiful tasty hot teas and a couple of our deserts were offered to us on the house ... just wonderful .. thank you for keeping your place sol lovey and unique
This was a 5 star experience all the way around. From the moment we walked in, the service was spectacular. As soon as we were seated, our water glasses were filled and were never empty. The unique cocktails were very flavorful and perfectly made. The appetizers came out quickly after ordering and were so warm and fresh. The main entrees were not only a piece of art for the eyes, but also for the tastebuds! We got a bone in pork chop that was so tender, we were able to cut it with the fork. The desserts were out of this world and there was a great variety of options. The portion sizes were perfect; leaving us satisfied, and not miserably full. This restaurant was also so clean and safe! We will definitely be back to try their ever changing menu. Falling Rabbit definitely gets 5 stars in all categories!
This restaurant is beautiful, comfortable and fun. We ate late so it wasn't packed so I'm not sure what the noise level would be with a full house. The service was excellent in every way you'd expect from a restaurant like this. Now to the food. The menu is small but changes often. We ordered smoked oysters with bacon jam. My husband liked them but $16 for 4 seemed steep. Next we shared the Grits with oxtail and the flavors were amazing. Geechee Boy grits were cooked perfectly. This second course dish would make a perfectly sized entree. I got the Snapper Raviolo and while good, I think the $32 price was steep for what I got. There were two large size ravioli but I would have liked more fish. The portion size was small but with everything else, I didn't leave hungry. My husband got the Beef Cheeks and that was hands down the star of the evening. I'd never tasted beef cheeks and these were like butter. The flavors of the dish were perfect. For dessert we got the Blood Orange Custard. It was good but I think I had higher expectations based on other reviews. Husband ordered the 7 oz coffee but ended up ordering another when he realized how little it was. I have one minor complaint that probably doesn't bother anyone else. The use of edible flowers in every dish was too overdone for me. It made for a beautiful presentation but I don't think every dish needed it. Maybe that's a chef signature piece. Not sure. It is pricey for sure and that could hurt it but I hope not. Overall we loved the restaurant and plan to spend many evenings there, whether enjoying something simple at the bar or a multi-course dinner.
Food was amazing!
The food was outstanding. The décor was interesting. A little more expensive than I usually go, but the food was worth it.
This little gem of a restaurant has a super cool ambience and decor. Kudos to whoever came up with this neat and eclectic design. The service was outstanding. Food is a little pricey, but the menu is more than interesting and all dishes seem to be a new creation of the Chef. The chef likes to change things up so the menu we enjoyed may be different when you go, may want to check online. I give this restaurant an A+ on ambience and service, the food was good, and certainly worth a visit!
The decor is beautiful as is the food. The portions are small but large on taste. Very friendly and attentive staff I will definitely be back.
Beautiful space, great service and excellent food.
Falling Rabbit feels like a special place the second you step in. From the rich colors, warm light and layers of gorgeous textures and finishes, you instantly feel fancy yet cozy at the same time. Then there’s the food! And the drinks! Elevated yet approachable just like the decor. Coming from someone who isn’t the MOST adventurous with food, I tried everything on the menu (my group shared everything), and there wasn’t one dish I wouldn’t eat again. Will be coming back for more!
I worked in and managed Canoe restaurant and Aria, way back in the day before my current career, so I think I know good food and service.
Very cool restaurant. The decor and ambiance is top notch. The area needed a place like this. We tried pretty much all the specialty cocktails, our favorites were the Old Fashioned (one of the best I’ve had), the Persephone (my wife loved this gin drink), and their variation of the margarita (forgot the name).
Food was excellent, especially for being open for just a week. The area is not used to this type of dining, but it’s designed with 3 course options, then dessert. All a la cart. Smaller portions (we eat too much anyway), with about 4 selections per course. The staff was friendly, adapted to us coursing food and adding food
Along the way; and the kitchen was FAST! Not in a bad way. Most new places take forever to get food out. Not here, our food was timely, hot and excellent.
The grilled oyster app Is unreal. I’m sorry we ate this first, because it set the bar SO high. One of the best dishes we have ever had.
The service staff was attentive, not overbearing. We never went empty with drinks, and had several staff help along the way (primary server with support staff).
This place is beautiful, food is fantastic, service excellent. Drinks were amazing. Best restaurant north of the perimeter, even being open 1 week. Hopefully as they learn and grow it gets better and better .it’s a small restaurant, so I hope I can get a reservation in the future when it is very popular.
Wow! I don’t say that often for a restaurant but Falling Rabbit is one of our new favorites.... put multiple high end dining restaurants to shame - we will be back!
My wife and I dined here on December 5th, a week or so after they opened. We had a great experience. Felt like it belongs in West Midtown or NYC. Amazing food, service and atmosphere. We each ordered something from each section of the menu (I, II, II) and had a dessert each. Everything was amazing. Cocktails were good, too, although a bit expensive at $15/each. We will definitely return, but maybe reserve it for special occasions. Excited to have something this fun and nice in the burbs!
The service should improve as the wait staff becomes more knowledgeable of the menu. Several times our waitress had to go ask someone else in order to answer our questions about the menu, but since this was their first week, this was acceptable. The GM was there and working the dining room assisting the wait staff and talking to the dining guests. She is great, very knowledgeable and personable. The food was unique and each course was well prepared and very good. The oyster starter was exceptional and the root Caesar salad was very excellent. My wife had the lamb and I had the Yellowtail tuna, both were good, but not quite as good as the first two courses. Cocktails were unique and very good. Desserts were excellent.
The restaurant has a beautiful and unique ambiance that matches the menu.
Drinks were delicately balanced and service was on point.
Planning the next visit soon!
Delicious dinner in a fabulous space. Tasty dishes, creative and beautiful, too.
The menu is a refreshing change to the norm. The food was interesting combinations, the spices were used perfectly.
The skirt steak was like butter, the mushrooms amazing. I have never had Yams served as a pudding consistency with such flavor.
The chocolate dessert with vanilla creme was worth every calorie.
The chef is a true artist.
The food here is outstanding! The service is also fabulous! What is misleading perhaps is that this is more of a fine dining restaurant rather than casual dining when you look at the kind of food and the price. We would go back again but really more for a special occasion than for a regular date night.
Opening was disappointing as the menu was interesting but the food preparation and flavor profile was disappointing. Pass on the scallops as they were uninspiring and frankly burned....the bar menu was far more interesting and well prepared but quite pricey $15 a drink. Excited to see a new spot open in Duluth but hope it improves as the opening night’s service was so-so and wanted to have a better night out. Servers were friendly and helpful with the menu but could not overcome the disappointment in the meal. I had the cod...very tiny portion, with beans and the dish was without any flavor. Will definitely try the bar again and really hope the restaurant settles in with something more tasty and inspiring.
Perfect from start to finish. Food and cocktails were delish. Ambiance was gorgeous. Love this place!!
