Falls Church Distillers
What a great little venue for music! A fun place to meet up with friends and listen to great live music and have a drink. They have a variety of bar food which is ok.
I was very disappointed. This would be a decent place to grab a drink with friends while listening to the live music, but do NOT go for the food. The service left something to be desired, as well...two out of the three meals arrived after a while, but the third meal took an extra 25 minutes! The music is also very loud, so be prepared if you expect to have a conversation.
Nice place. Had a band playing but seemed to be light on staff. Had to go ask for another drink. Not bad though.
Great tasty food, excellent cocktail selection, and live music on weekends featuring entertaining local bands. A great find!
The distillery allowed me to make a reservation, however upon arrival there were no tables. Not that seats were not available, but there were no tables set up to seat guests that night. They were holding a poker tournament taking up all the space but for some reason allowed our party of 5 through and appeared legitimately confused that we wanted a seat. Furthermore, their website and menu offers an all you can eat Monday past special that ends at 9pm, they told us it ended at 8. When we pushed back we were granted the special, but received small plates of seemingly store bought pasta every 35 minutes. The institution had just one staff member on duty for bar tending, taking food orders, delivering food, and busing food. Would recommend that if the distillery wants to have a distillery, a restaurant and a bar all in one they attempt to provide adequate staff and service. $110 for our party to get 5 mediocre cocktails a glass of wine and 1 pound of what was likely Brilla pasta was just not worth it.
Enjoyed a great lunch from this corner of Philadelphia in Falls Church. Great Service and enjoyed the bourbon and whiskey so much we brought home bottles.
Good live music and a whiskey tasting menu
Great food and great drinks
What a nice little place! Friendly, with good spirits and good food too. Will definitely be back.
Our first visit: small space, band too loud for the space (we didn’t know or wouldn’t have come that night), no talking at all possible, more like a concert, food took a long time and everything served at once including soup, salad and entree. Food was quite good. Drinks good. Went the next day for the barbecue and sat at bar. Puppy adoption event. Food delicious. Old Ox beer good.
This was our first visit to Falls Church Distillers, and it was such a pleasant surprise. We were not expecting live music, and the service was impeccable. Christy was so personable, and helpful. She was an absolute delight and so welcoming - she made us feel like regulars. The food was all very good, and was delivered timely and at all of the correct temperatures. We were not sure what to expect going in, but after dining there, we expect to go back again very soon!
I took a group of 18 girls here for a bachelorette party after calling and speaking to the manager weeks before. When we arrived we were hacked at the table was prepared but the staff was not. We ordered a few cheese boards and not one of them was the same. The drinks were good but slow to arrive. There were no other tables and just a few people at the bar this afternoon. I explained to the manager that we were going to be to having a quick bite a tasting would like to hear the background of the facility. He took the time to give us a well over an hour spiel which took up most of our time there the food never came out on time if it came out at all and they didn’t know how to split a check.
Great place, friendly people. But the food is TERRIBLE. The atmosphere was so nice I will visit again...AFTER I eat somewhere else.
Falls Church Distillers is a new neighborhood gem. Very casual, fun and relaxed. Good food, fantastic drinks and a really laid back atmosphere. The band was great too!
Disappointed. Ordered wine and flat bread (pizza) and the pizza was very small and not fresh. The red wine was the coldest red wine I’ve ever been served in my life. So odd! Also their furniture are these hard metal chairs (one of which was broken at my table) and tables and it feels like you’re sitting on outdoor furniture but inside. Not sure what this place is trying to be— but it’s a case of trying to do too many things and spreading yourself too thin and not quite doing any of them that well. Will not be returning
Really fun! We (party of 2) arrived early on a Saturday evening and the place was very busy with a special fundraising event. We had made a reservation so just proceeded to join in the fun. The service was fantastic as we tasted our way thru the cocktails and menu. We will definitely return to this cozy and friendly establishment!
First time at this establishment. Great little place. Went to see the musical act. Drinks were great, food pretty good, staff are super pleasant!! Will be back to do some tastings.
The restaurant has totally transformed the previous business. It’s now fun, sophisticated and relaxed. The bartender and waitress were great. The only downside is the food. I don’t believe there is a Nona in that cucina as they claim. The flatbread recommended by our waitress had extremely hard crust and the topping was not particularly good. The days special salad had very few shrimp and was only soso. The bruschetta was not like any bruschetta I’ve ever seen and looked so unappetizing we didn’t try it. Having said all this, I really hope they can fix the food because otherwise this place would be a fun unique venue in Falls Church. I know someone who held a dance party here and loved it.
Was fun to discover this place. Excellent crafted drinks and good food too! Staff was friendly and engaging.
Fun local spot with friendly owner and staff. Menu was fine to go along with spirits. If you’re into small batch spirits, interesting options. If you’re looking for a bar scene, this one was quiet on a Sunday afternoon.
We took a tour and the owner was very knowledgable and friendly. He was very passionate about the business. I got a tasting of the clear liquors which consisted of gin and vodka. Generous pours. The bacon was my favorite food on the menu. I ordered 2 servings of it. The service was slow though. It took forever to get the check. We divided the check up, but for some reason it was like the server didn't know how to do that. I don't remember getting an explanation on why it took so long. It made us miss the second part of the night. We had to skip the next bar we were going to and just went to the last one we planned to go to.
Great service - super friendly staff and something that I value a great deal is their effort to be environmentally friendly!
Great cocktails and tasty food, we will be going back!
Yummy young Bourbon... Nice job!
We had such a nice time! Celebrating a birthday with a young infant in tow - found a great little loft area and felt like we were sitting in someone's family room. Staff was very attentive but not bothersome. Everyone loved their drinks, the food was tasty and the warm brownie and gelato was yummy! We all tried a different flavor! We went on a Sunday at noon and it was so relaxing and comfy!
This is a bar, not a restaurant. While the menu appears to be more than bar food it is aspirational rather than reality. Immediately upon being seated, we were informed there would be a long wait for food since we were such a large party (9). We found out the kitchen simply lacked the capacity to to turn out more than 2 to 4 orders at a time. When the Italian food we ordered, arrived, lasagna, ziti, it was obviously reheated, not cooked on site. Nothing was outstanding, only mediocre.
I would suggest the place not be listed as a restaurant and that the bar accept reservations of groups no larger than 4.
That being said the prices were good, we had good chianti and the staff was sociable and, usually, readily available. I would recommend this as a place to drink.
The severs we super helpful and knowledgeable.
Went here for Restaurant Week, the deal was great, but their regular prices aren't bad either. The food was good. I'm not a big drinker but enjoyed the little taste of bourbon. Might go back for a cocktail. It was trivia night, we won a $10 gift certificate! It was a lot of fun.
This is a relatively new place in Falls Church. Combination restaurant, bar, and distillery all combined. Fun, casual atmosphere with surprisingly good food. They make amazing vodka and gin (other things coming soon, check out the website) and sell it by the bottle at their very own ABC store on site. Friendly staff. We'll be back - to eat or drink or both.
Staff was a bit unorganized. The band that night was pretty good. The food was fresh and the drinks were great. I would give it another try on a less hectic evening.
