Farmers Fishers Bakers
My mother and I went for the Saturday morning brunch. The food and staff are exceptional! If you are going to be in the area I would definitely recommend making a stop here, you won’t regret it!
great food. not too long wait for table even though looks busy.great staff
Not worth the money
Good food, pricey drinks, server forgot about us and drinks went empty. But I’d still go back
It was my second time and food is not a disappointment! :)
I loved It! I have been waiting to go for years.... and it did not dissappoint. Our mussel pot was awesome as was my scallops! I want to come back because the menu was full of food I wanted to try. I do prefer a more quaint, quiet environment for such a special meal, but loved it none the less.
This was a great place to eat. The food was delicious, atmosphere was pleasant, decor interesting, server (Ty) was absolutely delightful, also professional and knowledgeable. FFB was a perfect place to celebrate my birthday with family. The menu was varied and offered something for everyone in our group. Our food arrived within a reasonable time even though the restaurant was full.
Was delivered (and consumed) a dinner selection that contained gluten after specifically asking the waiter to confirm if the dish was glute-free (due to celiac disease). This was not a cross contact issue but an ingredient (likely the sauce) that contained gluten.
Hi MikeC: Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. I am super sorry to read that there was a reaction to a dish that might not have been 100% GF- when specified that it was GF by our staff when ordered. That said, I would love to look into this with both our Management & Culinary Team, and will send you a PM with my email address. -Amy

We waited ages for the server to acknowledge us, and then when she did, we waited ages for our menus, another unnecessary time lapse between our order being taken. Being foreign, I was unsure what a 'biscuit' was and when I asked, I got a 'smart' response which I didn't appreciate. Ordered a Pina Colada which didn't have much taste. Just an overall mediocre experience.
Hi Roxxanne: Thank you for your feedback. I am so sorry to read that the service was incredibly slow paced, inconsiderate and also the Pina Colada ordered left something to be desired. :( This said, I would love the opportunity to touch base and will send you a PM with my email address. -Amy
We still had a 30 minute wait to be seated even though we had a reservation. But the over All experience was fine.
It took about 20mins to get seated for Sunday brunch after we had arrived on time. Otherwise a wonderful exerience with great food, excellent service.
Very fun for a crowd. Good food, service. We'll be back!
Buffet option only. Lots of food though. Waited a long time for coffee.
I have visited this restaurant several occasions for brunch. Unfortunately, with its growing popularity it has gotten progressively worse. This will be my last visit.
Upon being seated, we (there were 5 people in my party) sat for at least 15 minutes before a waiter came over. It got to a point, where we had to stop a waiter to request someone. Eventually, that young lady became our waiter.
I had visited the restaurant about 3 months ago for brunch but forgot that you now must request the biscuits etc. The waiter didn’t bring it up, so we were half way through our meal before receiving any of the breads.
As far as the pass arounds are concerned, it was interesting to watch several servers look at our table and walk away without offering the item they were serving. Not sure what that was about. But, it came across as rude.
The chili was salty, the chicken dry, the popcorn bland and chewy. Items were not replaced quickly.
I will start looking for a new brunch place for visiting guest.
Our brunch was absolutely delicious, but I wish our server had been a tad more attentive -- it took forever to get our check after we had requested it several times. Additionally, the bathrooms were a bit smelly which was frustrating.
Love the Sunday brunch for friends and family get together. Tiki drinks just add the best element of fun.
Service was very slow. We barely saw our waitress. She never came back to check on us or to refill drinks. We had to get someone from the front desk to get our check.
I've eaten at this restaurant and the other related area "farmer" brand, service has always been excellent. Not sure how this happened or is permitted to continue.
Restaurant did not provide a table big enough for the party size booked through OpenTable and moving our party to a suitable table seemed more complicated than it should have been. As a result we spent nearly an hour at the restaurant before receiving a first round of drinks (and had to chase them), let alone placing a food order. Once we finally moved, our second server seemed more proactive but unfortunately one of our meals needed sending back (steak inedible) and another arrived with the wrong side order (didn't even raise this as it was becoming embarrassing). The restaurant were good enough to present a cake (we had brought to the restaurant) after the meal for the birthday we were celebrating.
This was my second poor experience at a Founding Farmers group restaurant (the location at Tysons had previously served me a chicken sandwich with no warning that it contained peanuts in the coleslaw - minimalistic menus - narrowly avoiding a very serious allergic reaction) so I am inclined not to try a third time.
Farmers Fishers Bakers is great for a group dinner because the menu has something to please everyone. We had a 6:30 reservation, but weren't seated until almost 7, so maybe just make sure no one is REALLY hungry before you head out because you'll likely have to wait a bit before you actually get food.
That being said, the servers are fantastic and provide great information to help customers sort through what can seem like an overwhelming menu. They also give great drink recommendations and are knowledgeable about the wine list. I have a serious peanut allergy, and they were very helpful in making sure that my meal would be safe.
The food is excellent but the service needs to be improved. I finished my sushi before I could get soy sauce. No one came by the table for a while, and the one person I did ask. did not bring it
Quality food, great service and atmosphere.
We went for our anniversary and had a great time. Make a reservation on a popular night because it was packed! I highly recommend it.
Food was great, it was a little loud BUT the service put it over the top.
This team was amazing, they originally did not heave enough seating outside for our large group however they took the time to accomodate us, the food was spectacular and out server was delightful, you could tell she was taking care in making sure we had the best time as the entire group aside from myself were out of towners, 10/10 will visit again!
My husband said his main course (ribs) were dry and disappointing. Our server wasn’t particularly attentive. Not sure I’d return
While the food was good, the service was extremely poor. It took nearly 30 minutes for us to get our drinks and the food came very late as well. The waiter acted as if being bothered. We asked for bread basket, which came when we were almost finished with our dinner.
I love this place. I don’t know why it is only 4.2 stars. The food and staff are consistently fabulous. IYes it gets crowded and wartime’s can be long if I don’t have a reservation. With a I have never waited more than 10 minutes for my table. The glazed cedar plank salmon is my favorite salmon anywhere in DC
It was incredible noisy. Our service was very slow. Food was OK. It was not anything to rave about. Great location. Our server was very pleasant.
Hi SusanM: Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. I am very sorry that the restaurant was too noisy, the service slow-paced and the food only deemed "OK". :/ We do appreciate you letting us know these details and our Management Team will take what you shared into consideration. We hope for the chance to have you back for another try soon, and please call us at 202-298-8783 for any reservation help needed. -Amy
Great story, great food, outdoors is best for conversations.
Excellent meals. The artichoke n crab dip was amazing. Our granddaughter loved her salmon dish. All meals were done to perfection. Will be back, two of us, out of the five, live 6 hours away.
I had a reservation 2 but wasn’t seated until 2:25 because they gave our table away.
Hi jackson: I am SO sorry to read that we were delayed with your reservation because of our mistake and mix-up. :( Our Management Team will follow up with our host staff that worked during your visit on Monday, and thank you for letting us know this happened. We really hope that you'll give us another try again soon and I will send you a PM to stay in touch. -Amy
My children and I went to the buffet brunch to celebrate a milestone birthday and it was a miserable experience. Many of the food stations were empty. There was no french toast, no shrimp and grits, no one at the omelet station, no meat filling for the tortilla station - it was unbelievable how awful it was. I was embarrassed to have taken my children to such a substandard brunch for such a special occasion.
Service was great. Food was subpar and not coming out fast enough to accommodate how many guests were there for the Brunch Buffett.
Our server was not very attentive and seemed new, (gave a tall pint glass of milk to a 3 year old; offered to bring cinnamon rolls but didn't until we asked for them; did not offer coffee refills like other tables were getting from their servers). The food was yummy but we expected a little bit more diversity in dishes. It's a great establishment and we've been there for dinner and lunch which are amazing. This brunch was just unexpected given the positive experiences we've had before.
Try the white fish tacos which were excellent. It was a busy crowded night and the main course took a while getting to us because the kitchen was so busy. Great location!
Although our server was very nice and the manager very responsive to problems it was an overall poor experience that left us feeling sick. We ordered apps, one came.... we waited... then we were told they couldn’t make the other app GF. Fine, thanks for letting us know, but it should have been 20 min ago. Ordered another app, told them not to hold any other food. We were very clear about gluten intolerances. I ordered GF sliders for the kids, we had ordered this before and they loved them. I didn’t recall that previously they had come as lettuce wraps vs GF buns, so I didn’t think anything of the buns. Oooops, my kids started complaining that they weren’t as good as before and they didn’t like them. I asked about the buns, they were regular buns. By this time my children were starting to check out... we eat out at nice restaurants, they are usually well behaved, but with the slow service and mixups they were maxing. Food was replaced, some was comped, refills for the older children’s drinks came way late, after one was done eating the replacements and walking around the fountain. The other food we ordered was OK at best, except the guacamole and fresh sodas, they were good. At home 3 of us are ill, despite taking medication to minimize reactions.
Our reservation was cancelled by the restaurant after we had checked in so we had to wait 30 minutes before being seated. But other than that it was good
It was great! We love the brunch. Food was delicious and the service was great.
Nice, fun place for brunch. It got packed and noisy quickly. We were there around ten. Ordered coffee and teas. Didn’t get them until we were almost done with our meal. Our server seemed overwhelmed.
Food was good, not great or special. Needs its own signature dishes and vibe.
