Farmers Fishers Bakers
The restaurant is upscale casual, which welcomes business casual dress, and dress that would be appropriate in a nice restaurant; this includes jeans and athletic wear, and warm-weather clothing, including shorts.
Tuna sushi with watermelon and grapefruit excellent.
Food was good. The menu says ask the server about gluten free but ours really didn’t seem to know and had to go back and ask. We ended up sitting on our entree while they found out and in the end I couldn’t eat them as they both had gluten even after we had asked what was available.
That said they were very friendly and the food was tasty.
Good last minute find while visiting our daughter who is attending Georgetown. Good food, service, and atmosphere. Unique features and food that you wouldn't typically find.
Delicious meal! Would definitely recommend and come back again.
Terrific healthy and tasty restaurant in a nice location. Great for groups big and small. Excellent service.
Excellent food and drinks . Waiter was outstanding
The brunch buffet was excellent and our server was great. Will definitely return.
My server Mariska was great! The food was amazing. I really enjoyed my birthday choice.
Horrible. Trash food. Do not recommend! Everything was either sugary, oily, or bland. Not to mention totally overpriced. Only go here if you got bad taste man or like your eggs sour (YUCK!!!) Also, this place felt like cheap knock-off of founding farmers.
Short: Completely ruined a birthday date night with terrible food and even worse service.
Long: I planned a special date night to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday - dinner just us two followed by ice skating next door. I made note of the occasion when making the reservation via OpenTable. The host was friendly upon arrival and suggested we wait at the bar before getting seated. As my girlfriend made her way to the bar, I privately asked the host if she saw my reservation notes indicating it was her birthday to which she confirmed. 10 minutes later, we were escorted to our table.
We started with sliders and "table side" guacamole. The former came with a huge pile of fries and a teaspoon of ketchup. We then watched as a young man used a fork and spoon to prepare the "table side" guacamole which was just sliced avocado and lime juice. It was awkward and we wanted him to stop. We didn't finish the starters as they were pretty bland. We then ordered the garden salad, prosciutto pizza, a burger for me with side of potato salad (they were unable to add a side salad) and roasted chicken for her. The salad was akin to one made at a grocery store salad bar - edible and unimpressive. She took one bite of the pizza and spit it out. Curious, I tried the same slice and did the same thing. The cherry tomatoes were pickled, the prosciutto was undetectable - it was gross. Like the other salad, my potato salad could have been from the deli department. My burger had more cheese than meat and it was gross. Her roast chicken had so much seasoning you could not distinguish which part you were eating. Our plates were full. I ordered ice cream in anticipation of a candle and just the ice cream showed up. I mentioned to the server it was her birthday, he replied, "Oh, would you like me to bring out a candle?" to which said, "It wouldn't be the same now would it? Check please." We were so put off by dinner and still hungry that we had to go elsewhere afterwards instead of ice skating.
We had a 5:45 reservation , but due to D.C. traffic we were running a little late. We called 15 minutes ahead of our reservation to let them know that we might be a bit late. When we showed up and we were 5 minutes late they made us wait for a table when there were plenty of tables open for us to be seated at. Restaurants complain when people bail on reservations, so to me when someone calls to warn that they are running late for their reservation you should not penalize them by making them wait for a table. From the hostess to the service everyone in the front of the house seemed of their game.
Fortunately, the team in the kitchen was on their game. Our meals were delicious , and will continue to give us a reason to comeback
First of all, we called to tell them we were running about 20 minutes late due to traffic. They told us they would give us 15 minutes grace period...after that they would still accommodate us, but we might have to wait. I only mention this because I got a “no-show” msg from open table.
we were seated just inside the door on a degree evening, so it was chilly.
Otherwise it was a nice date night.
The staff was so accommodating of our group of 15- truly appreciated both Marcie and Devante as well as our wonderful servers who were patient and gracious with all of us requesting separate checks! They helped us sit at two large tables next to each other. The food was wonderful!
Delicious farm fresh food and beautiful view!
Solid lunch/dinner spot with an extensive menue. The space is nice but felt a bit rundown compared to when Iast visited the restaurant a few years ago. Still a good option if you are with a large group looking for Georgetown waterfront eats
The food is always good, and my guests really enjoyed the selection of both drinks and cuisine as well as the ambience. It's particularly fun to take a group of people during the winter months when the skating rink is open and active. The problem is the service, which is always slow. We waited a long time for each course, and our server was often no where to be seen. I had scheduled dinner to start at 6:30pm because I had a 9:00pm conference call, and we were still going at 9:00pm. So my advice would be to go when you have plenty of time to enjoy.
Very pleased with the food and the service
We got the mussels in cream and mushrooms and it was delicious!
Portions are small but good. Would have liked to have some bread to start the meal.
This was my first time at this location for brunch. The waiter that we had was horrible, he only came to our table A total of four times while we were at the restaurant over a course of three hours. We had to constantly flag down the waiter and he did not explain the brunch process or come to see if we needed more water or just to check how our meal was going. The waiter would go and check on his surrounding tables any section I would not come to see us. Furthermore there is servers went down so we cannot pay for our meals with a credit or debit card. The waiter suggested that we write down our card information on a piece of paper which I feel is highly inappropriate. We had to wait an additional hour for the system to come back up which it did not. The waiter seemed annoyed that we were still in the section even though we had no means of paying for her meal and the manager did not come over once to tell us himself what was going on. We had to ask to speak with a manager and he said that we should write our information on a piece of paper as well. I had to ask what their ATM nearby and then he said yes there is one upstairs. The fact that the manager had no means of even telling us that there was an additional choice of any ATM and I had to go upstairs and spend additional money to receive cash from ATM is very frustrating. After the waiter came back to fix our checks which we have to split three ways he almost threw the check on the table and seemed extremely bothered. We arrive at the location approximately around 1:35pm and left close to 4:30pm. Overall my experience there was very poor and that location in particular I was extremely disappointed in.
Fantastic every time. One of the best places in the dc metro area.
I sat at the bar and the bartenders were very slow taking my order.
All food was great but we had 7:30 reservations and we weren’t seated until 8:30. We were told that they can’t guarantee our reservation time when we arrived because they still take walk-ins. What’s the point of making a reservation if they can’t guarantee it?!?!
the food was just alright, nothing outstanding but they did have a pretty decent burger. Wait staff were not very good but were very friendly. This is a huge place so running it takes a lot of moving pieces.
We took our three young children for dinner here on Saturday night and had the most amazing meal outside in January and then skated on the outdoor rink. Food was delicious and service amazing! Mussels, frites, mini-burgers, kale salad and Ahi tuna poke salad highly recommended! We love this place and the kids do too!
They LOVE their salt. Everyone was floored by the amount of salt in their dishes. The meatless meatloaf was delicious...despite the saltiness. Very expensive for a small portion of food.
Lauren was amazing
We had a nice time and good service
The food was delicious and atmosphere friendly. Our order came quickly and was definitely hot and fresh. However, our appetizer did not make it to the table before the entree. We ended up cancelling the appetizer. There was plenty to eat without it!
I’ve been here before and have had good experiences in the past. However, this past time I was very disappointed in the service and food. Our server disappeared for long periods of time and it took a long time to place our order and drinks despite there being many empty tables. Upon getting our food, my sister’s cedar glazed salmon was raw in the center. After ten minutes of not seeing the server in the restaurant I had to get up and tell the hostess about the problem. The manager took the salmon back and had it placed back in the oven. Unfortunately when it got back to our table it still wasn’t cooked.
Food was overdone. Kettlecorn was burnt and had to be sent back. Service was slow. Have been to founding farmers and farmers & distillers and had outstanding food and service at both. Was looking forward to trying ffb after hearing good things, but after Saturdays experience doubt we will be back.
Food was fantastic. I have been here twice, and I ordered different things during each visit. The fish was fresh, beef/pork was juicy, vegetables are of pleasant texture. Five stars for everything on the menu! However, I wish everything else was as good as their food: the waiting time is a little bit too long but still acceptable, the food is overpriced a little.
I really liked the french toast that was offered with brunch, as well as the variety of vegetables! You guys did a great job! This was my first time here, and I definitely want to return.
Best brunch ever
There are wide variety of food in the menu. I had crab salad. Great taste crab but avacoda was very ripe it was almost gagged me. Also salad dressing was overpowering for the greens. My husband and kids order burgers. They were OK but French fries was very disappointing...
We had a great experience here! The meal was absolutely delicious!
Max was an excellent server! His knowledge and recommendations were impressive. Service was quick and food was delicious. Cocktails and beer were good, too. We loved our view of the ice skating rink and overall experience. What a great time!
Service was barely adequate. We sat through appetizers with only 2 place settings for the 6 of us. The spicy shrimp app wasn’t spicy - it was fine - but nothing special. The best thing was the pretzel stick appetizers. The grilled cheese hamburger was soggy (the toasted bread). The mixed drinks were expensive and very average. My wife’s veggie sandwich was loaded with raw onions which were not listed on the menu. Waitress made no effort to address. I will say the salmon nigiri was good. Overall I feel like they are living on past laurels and are a few steps behind other better options out there.
It was so loud, we had difficulty carrying on a conversation. Our waiter set a very unfortunate tone as he was incredibly impatient with us even after we explained that we had some non-English speakers with us and we would need time to translate for them. Instead of patiently waiting, he would just say, “I’ll give you more time,” and rush off, even after we called after him and asked him to stay because we might have questions. Half the group was disappointed with their meals and the other half loved their meals. We love the chain’s other restaurants and find those to be preferable options.
Service was slow, waiter was rude at times and food was mediocre.
