We arrived and were greeted right away. However, after sitting down, no one came to take our drink order for about 15 minutes and several servers walked by.
Once we were served, she did come by frequently. However, I ordered a salad with salmon and they forgot the salmon.
After getting our to go container, and packing my salad I found a long black hair on my plate at the bottom. I’m bald so no way it was mine. I will not be returning although our food was delicious.
They also promised me a dessert for my girlfriend which they did not bring. They told me no candles and they did not sing anymore but said I could still have the dessert.
Had a great Mother’s Day dinner. Great for a group outing.
We had a Mother's Day reservation for five people. The restaurant a buffet with plexiglass and workers scooping you the food. It was rather strange and very hard to hear the masked workers behind plexiglass. Nevertheless, the food was very good.
Our table was outside. It was very windy and a little cold. We were on the lower level. If you want a heat lamp, you need to sit outside on the upper level. We had a waiter but did not use him much because it was a buffet - we got everything we needed ourselves.
The prince was very reasonable because kids under six ate brunch for free.
Overall, I would say this was a 3.0 - 3.5 star dining experience.
We went for the weekend brunch. The food was mediocre to good, although the cream cheese frosting cinnamon rolls were outstanding. My main issue was that the restaurant seemed totally disorganized for brunch. There are no signs telling people where the line starts, and no food signs so you have to ask what every single thing is! (I feel bad for the staff) Most baffling was that you basically had to go into the kitchen to get the desserts, and no signage there either. If you sit outside (which we did), you have to weave your way through the people waiting to be seated with your plate of buffet food in your hand. Why not have different designated doors? I also didn't feel like the restaurant was trying too hard for cleanliness, which is surprising during a pandemic. (no paper towels, bathrooms not very clean, the waiter let us switch tables and didn't wipe down our previous one, etc) I am leaving this review in the hopes that the restaurant will make some changes!
This brunch was way better before covid. There is less food now, and the lines to be served at the buffet are way too long. Not worth the money - unless they go back to the way it was before covid (more food options and self serve). Also, they don't include coffee or tea in the brunch price?!? It's not a bargain brunch, so throwing in a coffee/tea shouldn't be a big deal; it's petty to make people pay extra for that.
Mother’s Day Brunch was poorly done overall.
The food was not being refreshed, food servers were rude, waiting staff was occupied talking and socializing.
This restaurant had a great atmosphere. The only downfall was the fact that the fire alarm went off in the middle of our meal and took a while to turn off, but that was not the restaurants fault. Would definitely like to go back ASAP!
Very cold - I thought heaters would be at all outside points
Food was cold, beverages were watered down, overall a one and done visit.
Poor quality brunch. Limited selection. Not worth the money.
Mediocre food, good service but it was really expensive for what it was
Hi Foodie32210: I am so sorry the food was subpar and while the service was good, your overall visit was deemed "1-STAR". :( This said, I would appreciate the chance to make this right and ask you to please email me: Amy@FRG.Farm with a copy of your review, date dined & location. Thank you and I look forward to continuing this conversation! -Amy
Our Waiter was spot on perfect. He was polite, funny and just an example of a perfect server.
Awww! Thanks Mike for sharing this with us! Really made our day and we appreciate it! -Amy
We ordered from the Happy Hour menu. The value for the quality food was excellent. The portions were small ( 3 onion ring per order). The service was off.
Great place for brunch!!
Hooray! Thank you so much for joining us and sharing your kind review with our team! :) -Amy
Food and cappuccino came out cold. Server did a fantastic job trying to hide the fact that the restaurant was understaffed. He was the only good thing about our experience. Front ‘desk’ was a mess, poorly run. Had reservations, didnt get seated for 10 mins, sat us indoors when had reservations for outside, etc.
I’ll hurry back to have the Seafood Louie salad (with crab and/or shrimp) again!
Overall a good experience. The area itself is a little touristy but the view of the Kennedy Center at night is exceptional. The cocktails were delicious and we all enjoyed our meals. Our server was excellent - only complaint was person running plates brought our mains and never cleared our appetizer plates - we ended up stacking them ourselves. But overall a delicious meal with a nice waitress (I think her name was Michele).
Good was very good with great service. Brick chicken was delicious!
We were seated 30 minutes after our reservation time. No apology was provided. The food was okay.
Oh no! Please let me correct the oversights we made with your reservation & our lack of apology, by saying, we are SO VERY sorry for the delayed seating, inconsiderate service and subpar food all encountered this time. :( This is not at all the experience we anticipate our guests to have and I would love to make this right! Please email me a copy of your review, location + date dined: Amy@FRG.Farm. -Amy
Food was wonderful. Our server Sho was phenomenal.
Surprise sweet 16 bday. Perfect!
Even though I requested indoor seating via opentable they insisted that I selected the outdoor option (which opentable would not allow me to do because of the size of my party). The outdoor option was dreadful because the weather was cool and they were not allowed to have any patio warmers underneath the tent, which again I could not control due to the size of my party. Therefore, I was cold and my food quickly turned cold so I could not enjoy it.
Hi Regina: Thank you for your review and I am super sorry we failed to properly accommodate your reservation this time. :( I'd love the chance to follow up about your feedback and make this right! I went to Farmers Fishers Bakers with my husband for my birthday brunch. Our server was an absolute delight and the food was delicious. The covid adjustments they've made since the pandemic made my husband and I feel safe. It was our first time visiting and the waterfront area is absolutely gorgeous.
To my disappointment, the experience was almost ruined at the very beginning by the nasty attitude of the hostess. Hers was the first face we saw, and she made it apparent she hated her job of welcoming in guests. She did not acknowledge us when we first walked in, and when she inquired about our reservation, she did so with the utmost detest all over her face then promptly told us to wait outside. To our dismay, we were forced to stand outside for over 30 minutes after our reservation time, watching at least 4 parties that arrived after us be seated *before* us. We stood in the cold wind as the agonizing minutes ticked by. I inquired 3 times in that period as to why we were still waiting and she claimed our "table wasn't ready yet."
FINALLY, on my 4th inquiry, were seated by another hostess whose demeanor was a complete 180 from the first hostess. Everything, thankfully, improved from that moment on. I did my best to not hold that one person's rude behavior against the entire establishment although, the foul taste she left in my mouth from our interaction still lingers long after the positive experiences I had at FFB.
All this to be said, I know that working in hospitality/customer service is not for everyone. However, as a customer paying a pretty penny to eat at your restaurant, I would appreciate a semblance of welcoming energy from the person whose job is to welcome and greet guests.
Food & drinks were excellent. Service from our waitress lacked. Everyone else was great.
I was on vacation for three days staying at the Fairmont Hotel. I came here for most breakfast lunch and dinner every day! I LOVED it! Can’t wait to come back!
Awww!! Thank you, Gemma! We really appreciate you joining us during your vacation and hope to have you back sometime soon! :) -Amy
My husband and I went to farmers Fishers bakers for the first time. The food was great and our waitress was outstanding. NY husband orders the dry aged stake it was amazing. I would definitely go there again.
The salad an salmon was outstanding. French fries are also very good.
Good food. Not so good service, especially from the hostess.
Oh no! I am so sorry, Josh for the poor service encountered with our Host Team. :( I read your private note and feel badly we got off on the wrong foot. This said, I'd love to pick up where our Manager left off with the complimentary appetizer for the delay, and do what I can to turn this around! Please email me: Amy@FRG.Farm with a copy of your review, date dined and location. Thank you for letting us know these details and I hope to be in touch soon! -Amy
