Server was amazing . Food was good. Would visit again
Good server. Good food. A little too loud.
Great service from RC. And all the food options we tried were very flavorful and good sized
The prices are typical for Georgetown so keep that in mind. It’s definitely worth it for the quality of food!! As a foodie we will be back for brunch! Great job.
Our experience was not what we were expecting at all we ordered and after 30/40 min of sitting we never even received our drinks we ordered everyone around us was getting great service asked for a manager he/she took long on top of us already waiting so we just left
Oh no! I am very sorry for the disappointing outcome to our service during your visit this time. :( I would love the chance to touch base and hopefully turn this around! Please email me: Amy@FRG.Farm with a copy of your review, date dined & location. Thank you and we appreciate you alerting us to this. -Amy
It was way too hot inside!
I had a great experience. Just wished the server would have noticed the brunch was for my birthday.
First time having brunch. It was ok
This was our 3rd visit to a Founding Farmers restaurant, and we've tried a different location each time. I was THRILLED when they brought back the weekend buffet brunch. We decided on this location as it seems to have a lovely view of the waterfront, which it did! I cannot say how much I have enjoyed EVERY trip to a Founding Farmers brunch!!! The selections are great, the servers are friendly and attentive despite the large volume of diners, and it's really just a lovely place for delicious food! What made this visit even better was the kindness displayed by a manager named Andrew. He overheard my husband asking a server for a banana for my son, and the server mentioned fruit wasn't available. Andrew overheard his request and told my husband that he would bring one to the table - and he did. Now this may seem small, but it's little things like this that make me a repeat diner!!! Little acts of kindness go a long way in the restaurant industry. My only gripe is that there aren't any locations close enough for me to visit weekly - so anytime we are in the Washington/Virginia areas, a Founding Farmer visit is a MUST for us. If you haven't gone yet - GO!!
The brunch is the best in the city. Always a great experience
Hooray! Thank you so much for sharing this with us and we appreciate it! -Amy
Unfortunately I cannot really recommend their weekend brunch anymore.. Used to be fantastic with lots of different choices and a great value but now you get half the choice, the food was mediocre and the service was slow. Not terrible, just not great.
Thank you for your review and I am very sorry the quality of the food offered and our team's timeliness of service both missed the mark. :( I'd appreciate the chance to follow up and turn around the disappointment you left with- please email me: Amy@FRG.Farm with a copy of your review, date dined & location. -Amy
Had to wait 10 min past our reservation time due to high volumes of people but otherwise great experience & great food!! Pretty outdoor view!
Great time! Thanks Joanna for getting us a table
Really quite horrible - the whole experience. It was loud, ridiculously poor service, bad food. A really bad lunch. Horrible.
Ambiance is amazing but is trumped by the quality of the food. We went during brunch and the pepperoni pizza we ordered for our 4 year old was the best tasting thing we ate. None of the food radiated “fresh” or “farm to table.” Will not be going back and would not recommend.
Bummer. :( We are so sorry you left under-whelmed with your family's brunch experience this time. That said, I would love to have a hand in turning this around and please email me: Amy@FRG.Farm with a copy of your review, date dined & location to connect further. -Amy
Great food and great service at a great location. Definitely a new favorite dining spot.
This was our first time for brunch. The waitress asked us but did not explain other than go grab a plate. Apparently, there were additional things like you could order biscuits and cinnamon buns from the waitress. There was also dessert on the menu but apparently you went to the bakery to get those. Except the bakery did not offer or make things listed as dessert. For instance the menu showed fried fruit fritters. You could not get them.
No option to order alla carte (brunch buffet only) despite calling ahead and asking. Staff was very slow, inside was loud and smelled of burnt food.
Thank you for your review and I am super sorry for the miscommunication surrounding our brunch service, and the slow service you experienced with our team. I'd love the chance to turn this around and ask you to please email me: Amy@FRG.Farm with a copy of your review, date dined and location to continue this conversation. -Amy
Only complaint is that we had to wait an extra 30 minutes past our reservation to be seated
Great place, good drinks and great service. However, food was just okay.
The food and drinks we ordered were delicious. We sat outside, which was well-spaced and felt safe.
We always have a good time at the waterfront location. It took awhile for our reserved table to be ready. The bartender gave us a free drink for the wait. The food came out a little cold, but we were enjoying the drinks and the view so much, we didn't make a big deal of it. The staff was friendly and courteous.
Can’t wait to go back!
Sitting outside on a mellow morning was a good way to start the day.
Great service. Food came out great. Server was attentive and gave th he right level of interest in getting us.
Requested outdoor seating and it was perfect!! The weather cooperated and the view was splendid! Our server, Logan, was very attentive to us and provided great service!!
Hooray! Thank you so much for sharing this with our team! We appreciate it and hope to have you back again soon. :) -Amy
Service was great and food was very good. It’s a big restaurant, and they do a good job of managing the crowd.
we showed up on Sunday afternoon and apparently there were a lot of brunch customers in the house, and they were making a lot of noise; it was irritating and distracting.
The food was good, other than the mussels being a little bit chewy. The best parts of the meal were the drinks and the dessert; frozen G&T for me, a cucumber and vodka for my wife, and a chocolate cheesecake that we split.
It's an expensive place, but so is everyplace else in Georgetown, and the food and the service are good. I'd like to back for dinner on a weeknight when it's quiet.
