Service was a bit stuffy. Pasta was overpriced, not particularly nice and a very small portion.
I was looking for a local restaurant that I could go to locally with friends, so I wanted a friendly atmosphere good food and reasonable prices. Farrago could so easily be that place but it isn't . It needs a new chef and a better menu. We shared a plate of oysters which were fresh and good. The fish Fritto Misto had a lot of unwelcome soft fried vegetables in it. And my main course ragout of duck and ribbon pasta was really dry and could have been lifted from the bowl in a single piece. It's a nice room, the staff were fine but they didn't look like they were enjoying their work. The room and front terrace is pleasant but overall this felt like a place that is run by accountants rather than people who love the business
The service was the worst part - one waitress who is extremely slow. You wait ages for drinks to service. We ordered something but when it arrived it was missing the potatoes. Considering it’s a 2 item dish this was unacceptable. We weren’t told at the time of ordering they’d run out of potatoes. We weren’t charged for this dish but given that poor service it was the final straw and we won’t be going back. Food was very average and nothing special you could have better at home.
Fabulous food and service. Italian food at its best.
Nice italian restaurant with lovely outdoor dining space protected from the noise of the street.
Stuff really friendly even if the service was a bit slow.
Food very good, especially the fritto misto and the pappardelle al ragu d’anatra. Reasonable price.
I’ll come back again :)
Not their best night, although we had a a perfectly nice time.
Upside was lovely food, very quiet and un-rushed service.
Downside was un-attentive service, advertised £5 cocktails were charged full price and were not what we ordered! Also, unfortunate obtrusive road works directly outside the front. Not their fault, but undesireable
This was my first time at Farrango. My friend and I were the only ones in the restaurant on a Saturday at 11am. The service was ok — because it was only us two until another couple came in around 12:30. The food was ok. However the place was filthy! The loos were disgusting to the point of making me feel sick. We won’t be going back.
I've been to Farrago a handful of times, and it has been consistently very good in food, service, and atmosphere. They are also very good with kids. I would definitely recommend.
Very bland restaurant - dull decor and no ambience. Slow service and food extremely mediocre. Lobster pasta completely tasteless and lobster overcooked. Portions were tiny. Wine overpriced. Would not rush back. Wished I had read the reviews before booking.
Very very underwhelmed.
One of the best Italian restaurant in town!
Food is amazing and service is excellent!
Farrago is an exceptional restaurant. Consistently excellent food, great service and so beautifully decorated. A real one of a kind. I’d highly recommend it.
Not overly impressed. Came here for date night dinner. Admittedly booked at short notice but no table was ready despite the listing saying it was. Starters were fine. Mains were disappointing. My partner ordered the crab pasta. Could barely taste any crab. I ordered the chicken with pesto. It honestly tasted of nothing. And it was very overpriced considering the quality of the food. Overall can't recommend.
The food is good, fresh and well presented. The service is friendly but very slow.
Unremarkable. Had the crab pasta and the crab was undetectable, which was disappointing. Service ok. Overall nothing to write home about.
Food was delicious and customer service outstanding. We love going there
Barely a brunch, a small slice of “toast” poached egg and salmon for almost £10. Had a lot better for a lot cheaper. The dinner might be better.
Very tasty, authentic food and good service. Although it was quiet when we went, there was a nice atmosphere and we had a fun time.
Quiet lunch on a Friday to catch up with friends, we all tried different things from the set lunch menu and all were delicious, made with locally sourced fresh ingredients. The fish and pasta dishes were excellent!
Greatly enjoyed our meal here and the staff made the birthday celebration a very special one. The oysters were extremely fresh and the broccoli flan is a must try!
We’ve been twice to Farrago. The restauranters are very friendly and welcoming with a good sense of humour. If I was being picky and as a chef I would say the food is a bit slow in arriving and sometimes not as hot as it should be. Interesting choice on the menu and not to complicated.
The wine list is good although reasonably expensive.
I would definitely go again as with time I am sure the kitchen service will improve. They just need to slick up!
Owner was amazing , food was nice especially the bruschetta 10/10
The team have fabulous attention to detail. Organic wines, with an ex sommelier from some of the finest hotels in town.
Varied music from an ex rock star, interesting but not too loud.
A chef who is passionate about what he does and happy to share his knowledge.
Should be packed every night. Thankfully it isn’t so still possible to get a late booking for those of us who can’t plan ahead.
I had hash browns for brunch; it was delicious and coffee great too. We had a lovely table right in the window.
Great service, lovely atmosphere and excellent choice of wines. Starters were delicious, but the fish of the day was not cooked well and the bread selection was a bit stale. They were very apologetic though and gave us a free round of drinks to compensate.
La comida muy buena, el servicio atento y rápido, las porciones de los entrantes bastante pequeñas.
As this is listed as a ££ I would say you will not get very much food for under £25 here as a starter and a very very small set of mains with a drink set us all back some £35 per person, at which point we all went to get Pizza due to the fact we were all still hungry!
But the food what little there was, was nice enough and the ambience was quite nice, and service excellent, however we would never go back...
My husband and I went here for a date night and while the food was very good, the service was incredibly poor. Upon arrival, food menus were given to us, but no drink menu. We then spent over 30 minutes trying to ask for a drink menu and order our food, but kept being told they would be with us in a minute. The restaurant wasn’t even full - there were 3 empty tables next to us! Servers were just busy chatting with other tables. At the end of our meal, my husband asked for a coffee and to see the desert menu. After 30 minutes of waiting my husband got up to tell our server that we were leaving and just wanted the bill. Sorry, but while the food was quite good, can’t recommend.
Awesome service, fabulous food, great decor. We keep going back.
Great dining experience. Food and service outstanding.
