The menu at Farzi Café London offers contemporary Indian dishes and global classics, with whimsical nods to traditional British favourites. Dishes such as Amritsari Halibut, or Ground Wagyu beef scotch eggs that sits comfortably alongside Dal Chawal Arancini and Shawarma Biryani, each masterfully spiced and creatively presented.
In addition, our cocktail menu is inspired by India’s ancient Hindu past and the interaction between Ayurveda and Vedic astrology - a blend of carefully selected tinctures, herbs and spices are used to highlight each of the 12 cocktails - including 3 non-alcoholic - on its bespoke Vedika Menu.
A selection of small producer wines, including select fine vintages by the glass, with beers from Indian craft brewery, White Rhino, rounds off our drinks offering.
We look forward to welcoming you!

Delicious food with contemporary twist making the dishes memorable. Disappointing mocktail though. Friendly Staff
Superb. So different to the normal whilst being truly authentic. Food and staff a real breath of fresh air. Defo on the return list probably a lot..
I loved the interior and low light setting of the place and our table for four was perfect. Service was a bit slow but friendly. The food was really good, loved their chicken starter and chicken tikka masala and the galoti kebab was something really different and must try.
Amazing food and ambiance but note that portions are very small. We ordered three starters and one main with two sides and that was not enough for two people.
Intelligent menu, intelligent cocktails and intelligent staff. Totally recommend it
Not good value for big family groups, especially with elderly.
Personally think it was more of an occasion appropriate setting.
The music was too loud to enjoy
My friends and I had a great time in this private dining room of Farzi Cafe despite some initial hiccups at the start of our meal. We arrived on time for our meal at 8.30pm on Friday 2nd August 2019, the table wasn’t quite ready so we were offered to have a ‘quick drink’ at the bar the bar whilst we waited- this is a fairly normal experience for busy and popular restaurants so we didn’t question it. 45 minutes later our table was still not ready and we had obviously become more and more hungry whilst waiting at the bar. Although the bar snacks and cocktails kept us going we were keen to sit down for our meal. When we confronted the manager about the time we had to wait, he patronisingly told us that this was very normal in London and if we had ever eaten at high end restaurants such as Roka, Nobu etc then we would know that this was ‘common practice’. We felt this was arrogant, patronising and rude, not that it needs mentioning but we do dine at such restaurants and know that this is not normal. However, one of the other much friendlier staff suggested our first round of drinks was on the house for having to wait for such a prolonged amount of time which we were happy about. When one of our party informed the others that our first round was on the house, the manager then proceeded to come over to our table and aggressively and extremely rudely applauded us by patronisingly clapping his hands in our direction. This we thought was unnecessary and totally uncalled for. From that point on however, the manager disappeared (much to our delight) and we were served our delicious food by other kind staff and had a lovely time. I would recommend this place, but quite obviously the manager could learn some manners and perhaps could benefit in some lessons in hospitality.
A bit of a traumatic booking. Was misinformed I could do a third party payment (gift for an anniversary) so I booked Farzi specifically for this reason, however was told on the day that it was in fact not possible. It was too late to change venues so My table then had to pay themselves.
Portions are small and food is pricey, for that kind of money one wouldn't want to be rushed though the evening and have the food dishes removed without checking once if it was ok to remove them. You would expect better service than that for this kind of money.
Drinks and food are exceptional only service needs to be improved.
Really well thought out flavor combinations. The truffled mushrooms were incredible even though I found them a bit spicy.
Food was delicious but portion sizes were too small and overpriced.
Average food, came out really fast which was surprising especially for the Tandoori dishes.
Fun menu and very nice service. We enjoyed the food and the ambience.
Delicious wagyu beef kebab, goat biriyani and one of the best dal makhani we have had. Waiter was good but a bit pushy trying to get us to have cocktails. Overall a lovely meal if a little on the expensive side.
Lovely food great service - very warm inside the restaurant! Needs AC
The food, location and restaurant are lovely. However, the service is lacking. Of the 4 or 5 staff I spoke to, none were able to answer questions about the food or cocktail menu. They told different members of our party different versions of what was included in the pre theatre deal. Then they overcharged us. A lot more training is needed. A shame because it has great potential.
The Food was fantastic- we stuck to the vegetarian choices and everything was excellent. The service was a little hit and miss (they forgot drinks on several occasions) but it didn’t spoil the occasion. Overall it was reasonably priced as well given the quality.
Great experience although considering it wasn’t that busy they could have spread people out a little more.
Otherwise a great meal and lovely food
I would recommend this restaurant on the food quality but the service was lacking when it wasn’t especially busy. We weren’t told that dishes come out as and when they are ready so had to ask why my husbands starter was so much later than mine. It was only explained then and can’t say we aren’t happy with dishes coming out like that? The service charge was added to the bill without question so if we wanted it removed, we would have had to ask. The tip should be optional for us and this way felt a little forced?
The service was excellent, the waiting staff were very helpful. The flavours were delicious, but both of our starters and mains were only just warm. My Chicken Tikka Masala had such great flavour but I would be exaggerating if I said I had at best a quarter of a chicken breast in my dish. I literally had 4 bits of chicken no bigger than a teaspoon each, when I queried this with our waitress, and after she had chats with the manager and chef, I was offered that they would cook an additional small portion but I would have to pay extra, completely missing the point that there simply wasn’t enough chicken in the dish. At £19 you would expect plenty of chicken, I literally had a bowl of sauce. If it wasn’t for the fact we were in a rush as we were going to the theatre I would’ve sent my meal back for all the reasons above. All this said, I would go again in the hope it was just a one off, as like I said the flavours and service were great.
Loved the food- paneer popcorn, butter chicken bao and tadka dahi are a must try. Chicken biryani was lovely and was a good sized portion for two. We were so stuffed that had no space for desserts.
Great spot to have dinner before a show. Meal sizes aren’t overly big but wow are the packed with awesome flavours!
Our waiter was lovely and the food was amazing! Especially the butter chicken baos and the prawns for starters! Incredible!!
A great restaurant with a unique menu. The service was impeccable and all the staff were attentive and polite. I would recommend this restaurant whole heartedly, maybe more as a special treat.
Had a bit of a weird experience with the waitress on the way in, telling me I look like Meghan traitor and telling me how much she looks like Ariana grande, which you don’t really expect in a posh restaurant! We then were trying to order quickly as we had a show and despite it being very quiet we couldn’t seem to get a waiters attention to order food. Food was absolutely delicious, but portions were fairly small - only two pieces of paneer in the main course. Delicious though and would definately go back and order from the main menu to get a larger portion size!
Excellent starters and mains. Lovely venue. Dessert so so (we had the pre-theatre menu)
Having variously seen Farzi Café described as both 'edgy' and with an 'industrial setting' I would suggest that the authors should consult their dictionaries. However, passing it most mornings en route to work I was keen to try out this new arrival on Haymarket. It was undoubtedly very pleasant - a moderately expensive modern Indian at heart featuring their take on fish and chips (tempted but chose the sea bass) and arancini (excellent) amongst others.
Slightly over attentive service - we appeared to have two servers competing to look after us - but it was a Monday evening and therefore not unexpectedly quiet.
Will happily return to try a few more of the dishes...
I had the most horrendous welcome to my first visit at Farzi. The hostess saw me enter but decided to engage in banter with a male colleague for a few minutes before addressing me. She then seated me downstairs which was empty save for one couple . When I asked to sit upstairs she said there’s no space. I said ‘I saw the ground floor was half empty’ and she said ‘sorry there’s nothing left’. I asked her to check and she refused saying it’s first come first serve for seating on ground floor. I told her it was 6.45pm on a Monday evening - how much earlier could I have come for dinner to which she said - well you should have put in a request to sit on ground floor - to which I said - it’s my first time here how would I know there are 2 floors? She just shrugged. It was a lovely sunny day and my first visit and I wanted to enjoy a meal on the ground floor with light and some atmosphere as opposed to the basement with no natural light and barely any diners. She was rude and entirely unaccomodating. I have lived in London for 21 years and worked in the West End this entire period, frequenting new and favourite eateries nearly every week. I have never been subjected to such a rude reception and service. It was most upsetting.
Thankfully our waiter Daniel was the entire opposite. He was deeply knowledgable about the menu, advising us and recommending dishes with great expertise and enthusiasm. He was very attentive throughout our meal, friendly and engaging and he is an absolute asset to your restaurant. I am hugely surprised you have staff of such differing standards and I implore you to speak with the hostess who was on duty on this date and relay my feedback. She should not be working here and if it were not for Daniel I would never have returned to Farzi and dissuaded my fellow foodie diners not to visit...
A beautiful birthday treat. Amazing place. Would definitely visit again..
Really good place, food is good but the portions are a bit small for me but on the whole a really good place to visit. I recommend the paneer. Thanks
Food was outstanding - innovative and full of flavour. Wagyu beef kebabs were delicious as was the shiitake paneer dish and madras prawns.
Wife called arrange birthday message but forgot to bring an
Interesting menu, reasonable quality ( don't call a Naan ' Cornish Cruncher ' if you aren't able to taste the cheese. Nice people but the service was haphazard on the night.
Very very poor service
The food at Farzi was excellent. The only thing that really bugs me is adding on 12.5% sc to the bill and then being shamed in to paying. People should be able to tip if they want to
Lovely manager very attentive and it wasn’t an issue to change the cocktail to beer on the set menu, and he recommended dishes to us. Staff were great. Place is lovely.
Loved the staff, so polite and friendly and very funny too! Would recommend to family and friends!
😍😍😍 loved everything about this place
Food is only aesthetically pleasing - taste is something they need to work on.
The restaurant is loud and not from customers but because of servers and there is no proper ventilation. Waste of money!
