Good selection of craft beers. Delicious cocktails. Service was fast. Great BBQ. Ribs dipped in sauce, highly recommend
We arrived when they were short two servers who had called in, but the staff who took care of us were all excellent. Everyone at our table went for two meat with ribs and brisket. The ribs were good, but the brisket was exceptional. This was a perfect stop for what we were looking for that night.
Honestly some of the best BBQ for the value in the DFW area. Portions are big so come hungry!
We came to town for the NASCAR race and wanted some BBQ while in Texas. Though the idea seemed great with the ferris wheel and live band in back with outdoor seating, the food was not great. Maybe a 3 out of 10. Probably the worst BBQ I’ve ever had. My friend got a beef brisket sandwich and 30% of the meat on her sandwich was pure fat. The BBQ baked bean were mushy. The BBQ sauce was thin and watery. Tables were very dirty as well. VERY DISAPPOINTED to say the least. To top it off, we had to pay $10.00 to valet in their tiny parking lot. Do not recommend. Not sure how they have 4.8 out of 5 when we complained, they just said they were sorry. And we’re in no way going to refund any money. Ironically the table next to us complained as well so it wasn’t just us.
Fun atmosphere if the weather is nice outdoors. BBQ was way to spicy for me with lots of jalapeño undertones. I did not even use their spicy sauce. Shame to ruin such good looking BBQ meat.
We really enjoyed our lunch at Ferris Wheelers. The staff was amazing and friendly and we even met the owners, super nice guys. The food was sooooo good!! When you go, be sure to get the mac & cheese (the pasta is ferris wheel shaped :) ) and the fried okra was the best I've ever had.
We didn’t get to order. They didn’t honor our reservation.
Highly Recommend had great service and food!
Food was good and good service
Booked a private party but kept reservations ?!!!
Very cute environment and great food!
The service was great and the food was good. Little disappointing the Ferris wheel doesn’t actually work.
Great time kids loved it
This was my first time visiting the restaurant. Sat inside because it was a humid day, but lots of people were in the backyard area. The service was very good; friendly staff. We tried the Full Ride, so we could sample all the meats. It's meant for 4-6 people, and there were only 3 of us, so we had a lot to take home. The meat was phenomenal (so tender and flavorful). I cannot say the same for the sides. They're pricey and not worth the money, in my opinion. They were room temperature and the mac & cheese had no cheese flavor. Because it's a BBQ place, and their meats are outstanding, I gave them 4 stars.
Amazing vibe in the backyard, pure TX experience with BBQ and music
The table wasnt cleaned off as we had to have the waitress come and wipe the table after we were seated but the worst of it was there was dried bird droppings on one of the menus they provided for us. This left a TERRIBLE impression for us and we simply didnt want to eat there. We need to ensure that we believe that the place is clean enough to eat at, and with wiping the table after we are seated (which occasionally can happen if people are going fast) but the dried up bird droppings on the menu was pretty bad to our party.
Great all around. I was very impressed with the owner and his staff. We had family in town and the staff was unreal awesome. They talked about how great the staff was all weekend.
I wish we had known the Ferris wheel was just for show. The service was ok, food was good.
We went for a casual, patio bbq bridal party. Several guest have not been to the restaurant before. I was not informed the patio was closed prior to the event so we had to relocate inside. And the ferris wheel was not working so some guest were a little disappointed. Saving grace was the food and service were good.
Awesome music! Great ambiance!!! And fantastic food!! The brisket nachos , fried pickles, okra and brisket were all delicious
Great ambiance and great food; but they did not have our reservation anywhere so that wasn’t useful. The service was also very poor.
12 min. from Dallas- Love airport
Every future layover will include a visit here
5 star barbecue joint and I ain't lyin'
The server made it abundantly clear that she didn’t want to serve us. Had it not been my birthday (and too late to make a reservation elsewhere) we would have left.
Simply outstanding. Service was excellent, portion size was Texan and the taste of all items (we got family platter) was outstanding. We eat a lot of BBQ and hands down, this place is simply outstanding. The setting is perfect as well....plenty of outdoor space and of course, who does not love a ferris wheel as a back drop.
The nacho waffle fries were very tasty & filling!
Great food, great service, this is one of our favorites for barbecue and ambiance. We can’t wait until covid restrictions allow live music and the Ferris wheel to run again.
Out of ribs
18 people, 18 checks, the waitress was unbelievably good. This place rocks.
We walked over from the nearby Hilton convention hotel on a Tuesday night--very quiet place, but looks like a place that hops on weekend nights. The BBQ is amazing, and nice selection of mostly local beers to wash it down with. Very friendly, knowledgeable service. Will probably be back before the week is over.
Texas BBQ is judged based on one thing - brisket. And Ferris Wheeler's brisket was some of the worst I've ever had. It was basically a baked piece of meat. Gray in color, no smoke ring. In fact, there was no indication that smoke ever touched this brisket. The flavor was - well basically there was no flavor.
Food was delicious, lean brisket, ribs, and slaw. Stellar sauces, Yum! Leaky inside, too chilly to sit outside. Will return for outdoor dining when weather is better.
Basic table and chairs showing signs of wear/need for repair. Service was slow but good. Food was basic bbq. An Ok experience; nothing exceptional, nothing unacceptable.
Good food , fun atmosphere. The ribs were excellent.
Great portion size
I was disappointed in the very bland potato salad. It had no flavor at all. The brisket sandwich was okay but not worth the trip from Frisco. The mac and cheese was also disappointing.
Had a blast with my family ,both kids and parents had an amazing time,
Food was good, but cold when we received. Good value
Our dinner @ Ferris Wheelers BBQ was absolutely delicious!! The atmosphere is not fancy, there are rolls of paper towels on each table, but we were more interested in Texas BBQ. I ordered the ribs and okra, WOW. My husband had brisket, also terrific. The meat is smokey, spicy and very tender.
Good BBQ. Nice big portions for your money. Live music. Cold beer. Cool atmosphere!
I will say that reservations are not needed.
Our family went on a Sunday evening in July for my husband's birthday. It was HOT, but Ferris Wheelers has GIANT industrial fans set up and covering from the sun, so it was actually quite tolerable! We had around 20 people and EVERYONE at Ferris Wheelers was AMAZING. Not only that, the BBQ was some of the best we've ever had. Definitely a great place with great food!
