Had a really good Sunday lunch with family. Food was nicely cooked, just right amount, and value comparable with other pubs in the area. Good service and choice of indoor or outdoor seating. Well maintained pub with modern kitchen, will be going back soon.

Service charge not shown on menu and was unexpected when received the bill Small portions mains and side dishes needed to be bigger my partner and I had the beef roast a side of pigs in blankets and coli cheese to share but we could of ate more and was still hungry. We did not have pudding due to the size of the roasts being small we did not want to then pay £8 for a child's sized dessert. The bill was just under £80 which for a small roast main and 2 drinks and sides is very expensive when the dishes are small

We visited on a Sunday, 6 of us in total. We ordered a variety from the menu, from burgers to roast dinners. The food itself was delicious, however the quantity of food did not match this. We ordered 2 sides with our roast and they came out to our table after one of us had eaten our lunch. We had to constantly ask for drink refills. The service was just awful. We felt as if we were more in the way than as a paying customer. The manager was not engaging at all, he just seemed to bark orders at the staff and was stood at the till by the entrance throughout. When we left not one of the 4 staff stood at the door said goodbye or thank you. Overall we were very disappointed with our visit here. There is a lot they need to work on to make it an enjoyable experience. Maybe rethink about booking!

Great service and lovely atmosphere, however we felt the quality of food didn’t match the cost. My husbands pasta was undercooked and our mains were only average in our opinion, but we couldn’t fault the service or the wine.

Very disappointed after reading a lot of good reviews. Service was very slow for both drinks and food. None of the food we wanted on the menu was available and the alternatives we ordered came incorrect. It was expensive and a 12.5% was already added to the bill.

The staff were polite and helpful. The food was very good and we were quite full after a starter and mains so we liked the ability to have a small taster pud with a drink, instead of a full size pudding. Overall a very enjoyable evening and we will come again.

We went as a family of 5 on Wednesday night supper club where you can get 2 courses for £20. We had a really nice meal but unfortunately upon teaching the bottom of his bowl of fries, my son found a deep fried, salted FLY at the bottom. I made our waitress aware who took the bowl away with no word or apology and return with more fries. As mentioned he was already at the bottom and didn’t request or want any more fries. The bill arrived for the full amount with no mention of the fly in our food. When notifying the manager of the fly he removed £8 from our bill (still no apology). When seeing our dissatisfaction at his efforts to rectify the situation we had to ask if he could take the cost of the meal off the bill. As an establishment I would be mortified to serve flies in food and would have apologised and rectified the situation immediately. Such a shame this wasn’t handled professionally as it was a lovely meal up until we found the fly!
