Fantastic ambience and art deco atmosphere. Food and service superb!
It was my second time eating in fire restaurant and both times the food was fantastic and the service was amazing. The staff couldn't do enough for us. It was a birthday and as soon as I mentioned our booking the staff said happy birthday which I thought was nice as most places wont even mention it. Our dessert was also brought out with a candle and happy birthday written in chocolate across the plate which I thought was a really nice touch. A wonderful experience was had and I would highly recommend fire restaurant to others and we will definitely be back.
Not impressed, was supposed to be a special birthday treat, thought maybe a candle of something with dessert maybe, was put in a corner seat first , then i requested to move ! had booked this well in advance & wanted table in main floor. Food was just ok, service was brilliant, will not be back to this restaurant.
Have been here many times and never felt the need for a negative review because where something may have been slightly amiss other parts of the evening made up for it. Arrived on time for our reservation. Asked to wait until the hostess came back to show us to our seats - no problem at all with this. Then the gentleman proceeds to bring us up the stairs and waltz us around the restaurant as he didn’t no where to seat us. We then had to back up as the available table was in a different direction and then navigate our way through the servers who were carrying plates of hot food. We eventually sat down and ordered our food. My dinner guest asked for some mint sauce when his main course was brought to the table. Through our entire time dining no one approached us to ask if everything was ok - all staff seemed to busy to bother with the touches that make fire what it is. When the plates were being removed my guest pointed out that he no longer required the mint sauce and the server admitted he had completely forgotten. For a top class restaurant in Dublin it failed miserably to deliver top class service. The food was lovely and well cooked and presented - cannot fault it.
Overall we had a very satisfactory evening in Fire Restaurant. The Choice of food was very good, and
the ambiance excellent. The service and attention given at our table was excellent, with the girl serving us most helpful and in particular very attentive to our needs. One slight observation, was that some of the dishes seemed a little overpriced, however this will not stop us from returning.
Food was delicious and piping hot. Service was good but did feel like we were being rushed even though we booked our time and arrived early. On booking requested a table to the side but that wasn’t the case. Table beside us became vacant shortly after we arrived and we asked could we move to be told it was to be used in the next 10mins but it was only used shortly before we arrived. The atmosphere was very loud and busy with not much of a personal touch. The girl who showed us to our table was very friendly and welcoming
Our first time this week to Fire restaurant.
- The food was good but we are so disappointed with the desert : brownie so dry :( The plate's decoration was nice to see.
- The room is so beautiful and impressive but so noisy, but no bright enough to see the menu :)
- The service was good, staff smiling, if i can comment two things about the service : it is not done to bring the bill without the customer having asked and the cocktail should have been served before the starter....
Superb dining experience from the moment you are greeted along with drinks in the front lounge to the table and menu choice and the arrival of your food and wine. The setting in the former mayoral supper room with great presence and atmosphere takes some beating. We chose the early bird two course menu with starters and steak and one vegetarian dish. Steaks were sublime! One of our group did go for dessert which again was excellent and our server also delivered an ice cream happy Birthday plate to my wife. Altogether a memorable experience...
What a fantastic experience! We sat in the bar area and had a bottle of wine and to our surprise some popcorn too. What a lovely touch! We were then shown to our table which was located in the most stunning room. The decor and architecture was beautiful. The food was the best we’ve eaten in a long time! We would visit Dublin again just to eat at your restaurant.
The quality of the food and service was excellent. The early bird menu is really excellent value.
Well yes I would recommend because the food was outstanding, but I would recommend that to chose a less busy day, as I believe being New Year’s Eve we were put in a 4 people table set up for 2, crammed with other bigger tables. It was impossible talk to each other and the music was loud and we were so far, unable to hear a thing. Quite frustrating, so we ate in silence. It was not a good dine out the experience. I imagine and hope that in a less busy day that wouldn’t happen. Overall we were well received, although everyone seemed busy. It was far from perfect, and I’m not sure if I would repeat it.
Everything was brilliant. Excellent meat and desserts! Fantastic and professional service.
Great food and service with good value early bird offers
Lovely food and great ambience. Very happy with service which was attentive without being overbearing.
Despite the fact that the restaurant has a pleasant design and decor, still I was disappointed with the following points.
Food was not delicious. potato from main dish was not fresh, with light sour taste, it was made few days ago. I expected to eat fresh made dishes in yours restaurant, because even at home i do not eat yesterday cooked potato. Also, dessert ,, blocked" my mouth because it has greasy and sticky consistency, this is not mousse, as stated on the menu, the mousse should have a light silky airy structure.
About the service. The staff helped us take off our coats when we arrived, but no one helped us find our things and get dressed when we left. it was very unpleasant.
These moments ruined my birthday
Beautiful roast beef with all the trims. Would recommend a visit.
We were not treated well. The waitress did not offer us a la carte option and insisted that negramaro was a region when we queried wine description. The manager was argumentative. This was our family Christmas present and we were disappointed
It wasn’t fires finest hour food was lovely but we didn’t get it for over an hour and 45 minutes and one of the waiters who was serving us was quite rude let me elaborate here first so when ordering our food the waiter asked would we like the prawns as a starter or main so I ordered the prawns as a starter portion when the food finally arrived it was the main and he brought them out together when I said it was supposed to be my starter he got quite annoyed with me and I had to say to him I would have hardly ordered 2 mains and if I did I wouldn’t want them at the same time eventually another waiter came over and sorted out the issue we also waited a half of an hour for our bottle of wine to arrive and the table that was beside us came in after had eaten and left before us so kinda put a dampener on the night, the food was tasty though
Was beautiful will be back and the staff are really lovely.
Excellent food, wonderful staff, beautiful atmosphere. By far the best restaurant in Dublin
Fantastic as always!
We had a lovely Christmas lunch. Steak wasn’t cooked quite right but understandable with how busy it was.
Amazing Christmas lunch with super staff
Fabulous athmosphere and customer service is always brilliant
Excellent as always. Already looking forward to my next visit.
Great food and ambience. Service a little slow and Indifferent.
Ten of us ate at FIRE for my 50th birthday. We loved the food and restaurant itself but the bar downstairs was a real disappointment - extremely loud, packed and we waited 35 minute stop get a drink. I almost cancelled teh wholesaled reservation as I was in fear that after shouting for 30 mins to be heard the restaurant would be the same. Luckily it wasn't. It was perfect. Would definitely recommend it, Great value and great atmosphere.
Greeting at front desk was wonderful. Service from our waiter was slow and not very attentive but the restaurant was very busy. Chicken was a little dry, steak was rather chewy in places. Quite over priced for what it is.
Fantastic food, location and service. Celebrated our engagement and Christmas. We will definitely be back.
We go every year for Xmas lunch. Past few years the food and service has been getting worse. We decided to try it one last time for our family Xmas lunch because we love the atmosphere but that was also not great this year. Menu same every year and feels like it’s all pre made and lined up to serve. Expensive for the quality and service so we have decided that next year we will try somewhere else
Good food was rather overshadowed by poor service and as an example the server came to our table twice with the wrong starters
This was a return visit to Fire for myself, husband and one of my guests, and we were not disappointed. The Bar area is very convivial, lively with excellent staff and attention. The Restaurant was busy and very efficient, excellent friendly waiters, and the food was delicious. We were attending a Christmas function next door in St. Ann's Church and choose Fire for close proximity and will be happy to recommend to anyone. Fire Restaurant and Bar has a sense of an Occasion when you are there.
The service ambience and food was very good. The waitress was very nice and brought a birthday candle and ice cream for her with best wishes
I have never had a bad meal at FIRE. Always look forward to it. However I would recommend on cold days / winter days request a table away from the door - as it was drafty and cold. We did request the door to be closed it was briefly.
Food was delicious and a lovely athmosphere .
Lovely meal and good service. Nice and relaxed never felt rushed, will go again.
We had a fantastic night. Food and service superb. Great atmosphere and service between courses well spread out. We will be back....
atmosphere and service was great
food was a bit of a let down
meat dishes were fatty and tasteless
just expected to be wow'd and wasn't
to be very honest, we wouldn't rush back
Atmosphere was nice, food mediocre nothing special given the price, service was quite unfriendly especially given everyone was in high spirits for a Christmas get together this was a bit disappointing.
Arriving 30 minutes late the staff were completely understanding due to the time of year and the vast majority of Christmas party’s happening on the weekend of December 12th. The staff and food was amazing. Very pleased
Great location. Great lounge waiting area. Food very good to excellent and promptly served. Great buzz but noisy. Great wine list. However my only issue with fire was that the wine was not chilled sufficiently and I had to add ice. A bit much for a €40 bottle of wine. Apart from that all good and I will return.
I have already sent an email to the manager at The Fire complimenting staff.
