Fish City Scampi
whole tail prawns, hand cut chips, curry mayo, lime
salmon, smoked Irish coley, haddock, homemade Guinness wheaten bread
Excellent food. Friendly staff . Definitely worth a visit!
Love this place! Staff and atmosphere is great. Food is outstanding! Best mussels I’ve ever had. If you’re a seafood and fish lover you must try Fish City!
When I come to Belfast on holiday I always make a point of eating here. The fish and chips are definitely the best . I have never been disappointed.
I think the best thing was the mussels. Some of the mains felt overpriced for what seemed more like bistro type fair. The prawn tacos were basic and lacked presentation for paying over £16 without a side.
Really fantastic food and wine and service was outstanding. My family and I had a wonderful evening at Fish City.
We ordered a couple of starters to share between four, and mains. The mains arrived first, as our server made an error, but we accepted the apology and just ate our meals as they came. The cod was very nice, thin crispy batter and well cooked, as were the chips. One of us ordered scampi which we were sure had said on the menu came with home cooked chips. When it arrived there were no chips and when we asked we were told the dish didn’t come with any chips. So we ordered a separate extra portion of chips. At a cost of £4. We paid the bill and left the restaurant, out of curiosity I looked at the menu on the way out and the scampi was indeed described as coming with chips. The other confusing thing about the scampi was that they were actually battered king prawns, not langoustine tails - but that may be what they call scampi in NI.
The best desserts! Our waiter was brilliant, we had a lovely night
Very friendly service. Excellent fish curry and super fresh oysters.
Food was great, just not enough of it for the price. Service was excellent and restaurant was lovely.
Good was incredible with friendly service to add onto a great experience! The atmosphere was beautiful and a beast location in Victoria Square. Definitely recommend if you love fish and chips!
Lovely food but portion sizes too small for price
Food delicious. Our server seemed inexperienced. Removed everything from our table before my husband finished his beer. Even his beer mat. We felt we were being hurried out.
The staff where so nice, Kind and helpful; really made us feel welcome.
the food was amazing and the, the menu wasn't limited to just fish.
the atmosphere was lovely.
Will eat at Fish City again!!
Excellent fish restaurant in centre of Belfast. Fish is fresh and well prepared. Staff are friendly and efficient. Always call in when we’re in Belfast.
Basic food for very high prices.
Starters very small for £10. Curry bland and fish tacos nothing special
For almost £20
£21.95 for the smallest piece of salmon I have ever been served in a restaurant, the waiter said it’s 175 gram portion. Absolutely disgusted. The squid starter for £10 was equally disappointing.
We booked this place specifically for it’s menu. However when we arrived the menu was limited apparently on Tuesdays and Wed. We only had a night in Belfast so did not have the option of coming another time. I understand there are limitations due to Covid but they really need to spell this out on their website for their guests. The limited menu was very disappointing.
Small menu but fantastic food and service. Would definitely eat here again.
Food was very fresh. Fish was excellent very thick fish and light delicate batter. Top quality
We enjoyed our visit to Fish City, we were efficiently and courteously shown to a good table and served promptly without being rushed. The food was good, well prepared and presented. My only comment is that the choice of fish on the menu was not as wide as I had hoped. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and would certainly return.
I was disappointed with the choice of fish in a fish restaurant, There was a lot of shellfish but not enough variety of other fish and I had to set my starter bag because it wasn’t quite cooked. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble, however overall disappointing
Food lovely but not great value for money . Staff very good.
Arrived at this restaurant a bit disappointed to find that the menu advertised online was not the one that we got handed at the table - apparently due to short staffing in the kitchen. Our food was nice but not amazing and slightly overpriced for what we got.
However having said that, we did have a lovely and friendly server but overall I would not be rushing back to this restaurant based on the experience I had.
Good food, good service and a wonderful setting at a secluded table near the window.
Very tasty food, broad range of options on the menu, sensible portion sizes, very attentive table service and really enjoyable dining outside in the sunshine was a treat.
Booked a table for dinner, party of 3 including an 8 year old. All ordered scampi, chips and mushy peas of the adult menu. No juice of any kind for kids, just cordial. Food arrived quickly although sorry to say mushy peas were the highlight. But for £2.90 for a very small tub, they should be good! Scampi was not scampi. It was battered prawns. Very disappointing. Chips were okay but a bit underdone. Would not be rushing back anytime soon.
Must say the service at fish city
Was very good and the food was very
Good had the seafood chouxder and
Had a Desert were very tasty
Would recommend it would eat there next time in Belfast
The food was delicious, my partner said the salmon was cooked to perfection. I had the fishermans curry and the only slight issue for me was there could have been a bit more fish with the curry but im nit picking its probably because i love the fish so much! Highly recommend
Such friendly staff and amazing food I will definitely be back!
Managed to get a late slot on a Friday for three people. Great pint of Guinness and the food was very good too. The staff were very friendly and seemed genuinely interested in our holiday plans.
Great food and great service, would highly recommend.
Have eaten here quite a few times with family (3 kids ) and food never disappointed for quality and value.
On this occasion though the portion sizes were on the skimpy side. The house special - cod and chips - tasty as ever but much smaller than before and therefore hardly value at £16.
The restaurant is lovely and has a great outdoor area for eating as well as inside. Staff are very friendly, helpful & polite. The food was delicious with a good selection. Will definitely go again!!
Really friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and amazing food, will definitely be back.
Very friendly staff, delicious food. Would definitely recommend to my friends and family.
Great food, great staff & service. Highly recommended
Amazing food we will definitely be back! Have recommended it to friends.
Excellent food and good service. Would definitely recommend.
Really great seafood restaurant! Loads of choice of different items, fish and chips was amazing
Excellent food especially the oysters and seafood linguine and cheese.
Service was excellent and thanks to the owner for being very knowledgable on the local produce as well as being an excellent host.
