Fish! Kitchen Kingston
Located in peaceful Kingston on Coombe Rd, Fish! Kitchen undoubtedly serves the best fish and hand cut chips in South West London. Popular with lunchtime crowds, this restaurant caters for adults and children alike. The kids can choose from a kiddie menu and leave the adults in peace as they scribble all over the paper place mats with crayons supplied by the restaurant. Favourites include classic prawn cocktail to start and the swordfish club sandwich, a modern twist on the traditional.

If you just love fish and seafood this is the place. The sides are simple and there to fill you up but the star is the fish/seafood which is full of flavour and cooked to absolute perfection. The selection is huge (they will cook you anything that Jarvis’s fishmonger next door stocks). It’s pretty pricey but then the best quality food shouldn’t be cheap. It’s also a tiny place and therefore quite snug. My only slight niggle was that the plates were cold which meant that the food cooled down too quickly -fine if you’re having a salad but otherwise a shame.
We had a late afternoon booking so had the place to ourselves hence very quick and efficient service was received with great choices of food and everything cooked well and presented in good fashion. We wish Fish Kitchen all the best and will return next time we are in the area. Well worth a visit!
Really good quality fish and you can have not only what is on the menu but anything they have in the Fish! shop next door. For that reason alone it's my favourite fish restaurant!
Fabulous food, friendly staff! Thank you. The only thing I’m not keen on is the strong smell of fish when you come in but you kind of expect that in a fish place :)
Food was not very inspiring and quite expensive. Seemed to us that the menu was less interesting than previously.
We expected better and were disappointed.
As usual the fish excellent and fantastic choice. Staff are great. The only think that slightly let’s it down is the fryers being part of the restaurant but they have no option. Always reliably great food. Will definitely be back
Fantastic menu of fresh fish cooked to perfection. The best fish restaurant in Surrey...
Another really good meal with great service. Thank you.
Really good food. Enjoyed my scallops despite them arriving wrapped in panchetta(not on the menu) and I dont eat meat! but after a wait they replaced my dish. Best scallops I've ever tasted !chips are lovely and the samphire again was the best I have ever tasted.Great gin and tonics. Very nice friendly service staff but the actual service and attention could be better. Looking forward to my next visit. Always good food here.
Good honest food !
Great fish and chips.
Pleasant service and friendly chef.
Consistently fresh fish, beautifully cooked. This place never disappoints. Not cheap but well worth the cost. Essentially a fish bar with restaurant seating but a funky space with friendly service. Highly recommended; crab starter and tempura prawns with chilli dipping sauce.
Delicious fish; and a very wide variety of choice. Very well cooked and and presented. Parking a bit difficult but right next to Norbiton station and with good bus service so probably use these next time.
A great place for a Friday evening get- together. There was plenty of choice, we all had something different and it was all delicious! Great service, good value for money, and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. I will definitely be back!
Wonderful as always. We have never been disappointed.
The fish was beautifully fresh as always and the service was great and friendly.
Another good meal with really great service. All the staff are so friendly, but our waitress was exceptional. Just feels a little cramped at times. But will be back.
Fabulous food as usual. A must for serious fish foodies.
Great food, great ambience and great service. First visit but will definitely not be the last. Thank you!
Always enjoy our meal at Fish Kitchen. Can always rely on the same high quality and service.
The oysters were excellent, and the fish was perfectly cooked. The only issue was that they had run out of lobster by the time we arrived. Will get there earlier next visit
Good food and friendly service.
Our regular fish restaurant. Not cheap, but very high quality. Friendly staff and generous portions.
As always superb fish dishes.
Good wine at a fair price.
Very attentive service.
Desserts have always been great but sticky toffee pudding was we all 5 agreed the worst dessert any of us had ever experienced!
The fruit crumble would have been OK had it been hot
We sent it back and it returned singed on top but still cold!
What is that about??
I ordered Haddock and Chips it arrived in a batter that resembled a hardwood veneer and was dripping in grease. You would be better off buying from a old style fish and chip shop and paying half the price.
Great local restaurant with brilliant fish selection. Attentive staff and delicious food. HOWEVER. Our once in a blue moon date nite out was done in 45mins. I’m the first to complain when there’s an an hour between course but the pace here would put McDonalds drivethru to shame. Started landed with 2minutes of ordering, and the main courses within 2minutes I’d started plate departure! It’s simple, tasty fare but just felt really rushed. We’d totally go again, but not for a leisurely night out.
Fish was so fresh service was sent at your pace we took our time and enjoy a gape in between each course. We had oysters and the lobster was so tasty and left feeling very full. Going back on Wednesday as it was so nice.
Battered fish and chips no better than average and not worth the six pounds extra for eating in the restaurant rather than the takeaway price. There was also a whiff of fish in the restaurant, which may sound strange but I always believed that if fish was really fresh there is no smell
Whilst the fish was fantastic, the batter was disappointingly soft like it had been sitting around for a while. Wonderful mushy peas but average and not plentiful chips. For the price paid - disappointing.
We always love our visits to the Fish Kitchen. The food is always of such a good quality and never fails to impress us.
Perfect place for fish-lovers - obviously! Delicious food, generous portions, very friendly atmosphere. Not the cheapest, but then you have to pay for quality.
Fantastic service, fresh produce - the food is excellent. Always an enjoyable experience and will be back again soon.
Had a really enjoyable evening, good food and overall great experience
Outstanding food, service, choice of dishes, short and good wine list. The quality of the food and is preparation is Michelin star worthy, service is very attentive and all staff great! Can highly recommend it, best fish meals ever.
Overall the food and prices were good, but the service needs some work. When we asked if we could have the slightly larger table the waiter rudely said no as there maybe walk-ins although the restaurant was half empty. The second waiter didn’t understand what the bowl for washing hands was for and decided to remove it while we were still eating or mussels. The places is very bright with pumping music. More of a glam fish and chip shop.
Brilliant fish well cooked. Tempura prawns wonderful and the in-house smoked salmon excellent. Always a treat to choose something from the superb fishmonger next door for the grill.
Good food, pleasant but not outstanding service. We were not offered water. I would definitely return if in that area.
Amazing place, great quality and fairly good value for money. will come back soon
A late booking for Valentines Day and very pleasantly surprised. Great service and excellent quality
Great fun, nice and different venue, good service, food excellent.
