Our central location in Borough Market means that London’s best produce is right on our doorstep. We are proud to say that we source most of our produce from Borough Market itself, and our fish is delivered daily from our very own fishmonger, Jarvis, which is renowned for its extensive range of the freshest fish and seafood. We're also winners at the National Fish & Chip awards too!
Great food and great service.
Best fish and chips! Great service. Busy restaurant so quite noisy with general chatter but no music. We had a seat by a window and it was fascinating to watch people ambling about outside.
Lovely evening with nice food. Tables a little small though and we felt a bit cramped with little elbow room to eat on a table for four.
I last visited Fish about 3 years ago and it was a good experience. I recently went there for lunch and chose skate. I was told there were 3 versions of skate and I chose the one on the fixed price menu without really looking. It arrived on a bed of mash and swimming in balsamic vinegar. My fault, but the dish did not look at all appetising and balsamic sauce was way too strong for a fish dish. However, my main issue was that I came out stinking of fried fish, and I mean stinking. I know that is to be expected in a fish restaurant with an open cooking area, but I believe there is a problem with the extraction system.
Enjoyable ambience Good service. The Fish and Chips was of a very high quality. Will certainly return. The location in Borough Market adds to the experience.
Had a great evening, service and food excellent. The Devon crab and calamari starters were excellent and we followed with The beer battered cod and chips which was fresh and very well prepare.
Great food and excellent service, thank you
I am glad I booked as Fish! was packed even at 12.30pm on Saturday but the atmosphere was vibrant and the service from our waiter Michele was spot on, just the right level of attention to detail whilst letting us chat over each leisurely course without disruption apart from to fill the wine glasses. Menu is excellent, we were spoilt for choice and portion sizes were very good too.
Fantastic food at great value however service could have been more attentive. Found it difficult to get the attention of our server. Would definitely recommend for seafood and will return.
Great fish restaurant close to Borough Market. Very busy and bustling but a great meal and excellent service.
The food was superb - great presentation and excellent service
Food was over cooked and menu was limited as most was out of stock
Table too close.
Came for Mothers Day at short notice, you managed to get us a lovely table. The whole family loved it..Cant wait for Fathers Day..
Lovely food and extensive menu
Fish! has always been my go-to for seafood because you’re always gauranteed fresh, locally sourced seafood and ingredients. Our experience on Mother’s day was brilliant. Staff were friendly and very accommodating. Loved the new look and feel of the restaurant. Ordered the whole grilled lobster, which was perfectly done. Overall a fab lunch!!!
Snap decision to pop in on a Saturday night. Food good, table good, all good
Sehr gute Fischauswahl, lecker zubereitet! Sehr netter und guter Service!
Fantastic food and service. Love this restaurant. Great birthday treat.
Very good food
Will recommend it to try to everyone that coming to London
Excellent family meall and very hearty Happy Birthday song!
Delicious food, love the restaurant. Service could be a bit more attentive / speedy
Very very good food
One of the best places for fish in the city
Very recommending to try
They have reduced the portion sizes and the food was in desperate need for seasoning. We've been going there for almost a decade but don't think we will after our latest visit, it's just not worth the price. Such a shame.
Lovely lunch with great food and good service; only grip is the tables are very close together.
My birthday / first time at Fish!
The experience/decor was nice and felt a bit different.
It was difficult to get the waiter's attention and then we were given the wrong bill (twice the cost of our own).
We were given the wrong size wine and charged for it.
The food was quite bland.
I don't get to see my mum / eat out with her much so the experience still felt positive because I was with her. But I wouldn't go again.
I left feeling very flat about my birthday meal out.
I had fabulous haddock & chips, the mushy peas were a bit grey! Great service
It was our first time to visit this restaurant and food is really great. I will definitely come back and happy to recommend it to friends.
Wonderful fish and shellfish dishes from the freshest raw materials.
Pleasant, efficient service.
Nice informal atmosphere
Good food, very good fish, mushy peas tasted a bit past-date, but the waiting staff were lovely, so I didn’t like to say anything. The ambience is relaxed and pleasant.
Very nice food and good service. But on the pricey side, but worth it for a treat. Would recommend
Went on a Saturday. Yet, my fish (lemon sole) was a bit smelly (as if it had been in the fridge for 2/3days). I did not get sick, but a good chef would have noticed and not cooked it.
Wine list ok choices but wines are ~20% overpriced.
Not to the usual standard im afraid in terms of food and service.
A treat after a long day - well worth looking forward to
We arrived for our meal at 7pm, and although we had to wait around 20 minutes until our table was ready it was well worth it. The service was very good, and the waiter's knowledge of the food was also excellent. There was a nice ambiance, energetic but not too noisy. The food was excellent, and all four of us thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We will definitely return to Fish!
Both salmon and tuna steak were overcooked, we were squashed against each other and overall for the price we paid the food was under average.
We both had fish and chips - the cod was very good - the more expensive halibut was a much smaller piece and not as tasty. Brochette tomatoes were very good.
A nice restaurant with good service but sadly the food was not up to the usual standard.
Staff helpful. I think the restaurant kitchen could not cope with the numbers of people - Saturday lunchtime.
Not cheap, food not brilliant. Cod and chips - mushy peas ok but no more. Chips good. Fish was wet, batter soft on outside and uncooked on inside. One of our guest's had skate wing battered - that was overdone. The best was the plaice and smoked haddock. Starters were ok - but smoked haddock rarebit didn't really do it for me somehow neither look nor taste. Shame. Might give it another try sometime but not when it is so busy.
Good food and service. One of my favourite places to eat.
Great place to have fish! They live by their name and cook it well. Added bonus: pudding was excellent too.
