Great food. Service not great to begin. We were standing waiting for a while in the door. No menus for about 10 mins. But once we got a server it was great. Food very very good. Not cheap but nice for a treat.
The food was amazing, but the service extremely slow
Great food and fantastic, laid back service. Will definitely be back.
There is no doubt that the prawns, John Dorey , and Halibut were tip top, but, they came to table overcooked. It is a real pity. Hopefully the team will understand and rectify. The front of house team are very friendly but many different people attended the table. Making someone responsible for the table would ensure good delivery to table. I will try it again, but, overall a disappointing visit. Maybe next time I will ask that the fish / prawns not be overcooked. By the way, the oysters were great.
Never disappoints, its a skillful execution of their trade. each individual dish perfectly executed.
unfortunately ... i was ill before i left the restaurant..... not sure if it was the fish or sauce
Romantic dinner, got a table upstairs with great views of Dublin bay. The seafood was amazing and great service.
We are here as a family group of 6. 2 children got free meals as it was on a Monday so that helps it work out at better value. Food was very good especially the chips, seabass and children’s burgers. The service started out very good but halfway through was lacking - we kept looking for waiters to order more drinks/dessert and it was hard to get their attention. Apart from that we all had a very pleasant evening!!
I always enjoy Fishbone. Usually have the monkfish tacos. Had really nice chicken wings for starter too
We ordered prawns pil pil 6 or 7 prawns in a really buttery oily sauce not v flavoursome.
Crab legs were so small in fact never seen les so tiny.. 17 e ridiculous. I mentioned how small they were to our server..he laughed
Mains were fine
V poor value.. 200e for 4 with 3 starters and no desserts. Few beers.
Love this restaurant. Food is amazing and staff very friendly.
We chose Fishbone as we were on our to Dublin Ferry Port, and we were not disappointed.
We were served by a pleasant waitress and the food was very good.
We will return to Fishbone when next we use the port.
Best seafood restaurant I've been to in years.
Lovely dinner here. Great to sit outside. Only bone of contention for me and this happens in a lot of restaurants is no veg offered with any of the kids meals.I asked the server was it possible to get a child portion of veg and was told no ( don’t think that’s good enough or a great example from the restaurant ). I could have paid for a adults portion but I think it should be included in the child’s meal. I shouldn’t have to pay extra so my child has a balanced meal 🤔
I love having a local restaurant that serves excellent sea food. It is pricey though.
Thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Live Music added to the ambience. Staff were very friendly, food was lovely ( recommend Malaysian laksa curry). Thought the Prosecco was over priced at €39 for a bottle however it was very nice! Will definitely return
I was disappointed with the quality of the food for the price point. The service was very friendly, efficient and pleasant.
We love Fishbone, regular customers. Had Laska mussels for the first time and loved it, good value. I feel menu could be changed up a little perhaps. And we would appreciate some vegetables on the kids menu to be different- carrot sticks even! Thank you
Very very nice place, the food is very good and the service excellent. I'll come back as soon as I can.
Fabulous food. Staff lovely.
My fifth visit to Fishbone, so I must like it.
"Like it a lot " could be achieved if I get more than 3 mini scallops for €10.
The staff are terrific and they serve up a terrific cocktail style drink for the kids (non alcohol of course,😄).
Very nice layout and you will not beat the sea view outside with the iconic wooden bridge on your doorstep.
Love the 70s/80s music 👍
Starters were very good. Excellent scallops and nice crab salded. Wing of ray and seabass good. Very good espresso
Such friendly staff and wonderful food I will definitely be back!
Beautiful seafood with attentive service, we very much enjoyed the evening
Lovely healthy food on offer here with the most beautiful view!
I didn't make the right choice in meal, ordered the monkfish and prawn scampi which did not have flavour as there was too much batter and grease. However my friends food, calamari and the prawns pil pil were lovely and the staff were really lovely.
We had a great meal. Tasty and fresh. Friendly service. The seating areas are compact but we had a great time and will return.
Good fish and well done cuisine with a touch of mediterrean and far east
Absolutely fabulous meal. Staff were extremely helpful and kind, and ambiance was perfect.
Great location near the water and harbour. Fresh seafood and nice relaxed ambiance. Family friendly. Would recommend to anyone traveling into Dublin.
Enjoyable as aleays
Absolutely loved my first time here and it'll definitely be on the cards again! The food was so so so tasty and such a good portion ☺️
The service was amazing too! Nice to have someone who isn't too serious and can have a joke and a laugh with you! Overall amazing 😍
Beautiful food and ambience. Very busy so service was slow but understandably. Love this place and will be back.
Lovely restaurant. Great food. Great value lunch menu.
The food in Fishbone was truly outstanding...my son thought that the spicy tomato soup was the nicest he had ever tasted, even better than mine! The fish tagine was truly scrumptious, we will definitely be back. Anne, Tom, Brian and Liam
Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Just a tip. Cushions could be provided for outdoor benches. And blankets were very irritating. Softer comfy blankets would have made a 5star experience.
I regularly come to both Fishbone and Bay and have been a regular now for years but the service really ruined our night out. One main course was completely forgotten.we asked for it 3 times and it still didn't arrive. We eventually cancelled it as it took over and hour and we shared our food with the person left without a main. A round of drinks was also forgotten about. Again we asked for it 3 times. With such poor service I would hesitate on going again. This is now the second time this has happened. I went to Bay Thurs morning for breakfast which was beautiful as always and great service. It's a pity service in fishbone so bad, I'm a chef and can honestly say they cook the fish to perfection but poor service is so frustrating. Its a pity.
Pity no deals for Sunday lunch, quite expensive. Food perfect and lovely cocktails
Very busy upstairs and too few waiting staff. Was waiting for food, some sides never arrived and had to order some drinks 3 times before they arrived. Very noisy and hard to hear description of dishes by waiting staff. Tables and seating very tight. Food was delicious but service very poor.
As always, the food was very tasty. Even though the restaurant was extremely busy, the service was fast and friendly. We will be back again soon.
