The food was delicious as always. The staff seemed a little flustered even though it wasn’t busy. Drinks order wasn’t quite right and we had to ask for things that should come automatically when ordering lobster. We were seated in a small corner that was already full whilst the rest of the room was empty - perhaps spread people out so not sat on each other’s laps and so conversations can be more private. Food was great though and would go back. A little resentful of the 10% service charge added to the bill as I’d rather tip myself than it be assumed especially when the service wasn’t as good as it perhaps could have been.
We always love coming here for causal but special dining. The food is always great- fresh seafood and lovely service. Good wine too!
Delighted to be able to return to this lovely restaurant. Great choice of fresh fish and shellfish on the menu, beautifully cooked and very tasty. Wonderful welcoming and friendly service, looking forward to our next visit.
Lovely meal and friendly service
Excellent!! Really fresh, delicious fish and great service.
Excellent service and outstanding food. We will definitely be returning.
Enjoyable and fair, (if not brilliant), value.
Overall, we were disappointed. We could see that they were very busy, but the service was very slow, although friendly. Before the pandemic, we were ‘regalars’; the welcome was as good as before, but the food was not as good. The TigerPrawns were rubbery. The steak was good. The Sea Bass was good, but the portion size quite small. The Sticky toffee pud was excellent. The banana fritters (2) were no bigger than my thumb! …. and took 20 minutes to arrive! It is a shame the fixed menu before 7 pm is no longer on iffer, as it used to be very good value.
Absolutely amazing Sea Bass with a superb kedgeree. Top class. Only let down by overdoing the lovely scallops. A really great fish restaurant. Highly recommended.
Excellent fish and seafood. Good service ………………………
Great outdoor space. Good choice of well cooked and presented food. Friendly efficient service. We love Fishers!
Nice restaurant with excellent food. We had the seafood platter and it was delicious.
Excellent overall, we very much enjoyed our evening
Fabulous fresh fish. Innovative recipes. Friendly helpful staff.
Really enjoyed it and we were made to feel like valued guests. Only niggle was it took ages to get our starters delivered but that’s a minor quibble.
Excellent as always. Good service and quality of food. Nice to see things getting back to normal with groundfloor seating back!
Always liked this restaurant. Halibut was delicious but slightly overcooked and plate would have benefitted from some colour as pale fish, pale dauphinoise and mushrooms looked very beige. However experience would not deter me from returning.
Very nice to see Clifton back to life again Fishers provided and excellent evening with delicious food. Not the greatest but certainly worth a visit my wife and I will definitely go again and again I recommend you do as well.
Great table on ground floor street side, very attentive staff, could choose from menu or fish counter which was a nice touch, very enjoyable
Service and menu choice not up to their pre-pandemic high standards. Hopefully this is just temporary!
Excellent food, really nice, good service, good wines. We had a great lunch.
Quiet, intimate little venue.
Food was outstanding and would definitely recommend and return regularly.
Food delicious, and nicely presented but unfortunately service was a huge let down. Specially seeing the other tables not happy about it too. Hopefully it was just one of those days 🤷🏼♀️. Menu felt a bit limited.
Hard to choose from the great selection of main courses. Delicious food and a lovely atmosphere upstairs.
We ate upstairs, and were a little forgotten but apart from that it was very good.
Very nice food, service was a little slow and had tan out of a few things but the restaurant did make sure w
Food Fish generally good and service too but very disappointed with the desserts I’m afraid not worth the money
An improvement for us would have been more fish dishes without a sauce.
Best seafood ever for a restaurant not on the coast!
We went off the main menu and asked for lobster. When it came it was a really good size cooked in garlic and butter and tasted fantastic. It was reasonably priced too.
Beautiful meal. Excellent service.
Haven’t been to restaurant for a few weeks, but the quality of food was good despite spinach being served cold
Wine list restricted only rose being available at £29 !!!
Despite the staff changing frequently it was ok
Good position for fish counter
Lovely fish - what more can you say! Service good and all very relaxed.
This was a return visit to Fishers for my sister's birthday. We had a very good meal and the atmosphere was lively and congenial. There was one problem, which a member of staff resolved very quickly to our satisfaction. If you like fish, I would recommend wholeheartedly.
Great service in a nice restaurant.Mussels were sublime.Large and fresh and perfectly cooked with a subtely tasty sauce.Squid was just basic battered rings and prawns were tough and not very tasty and skate wing was overcooked and drowned in the beurre noisette
my first visit for a year or so,for obvious reasons, food as good as ever. Still the best sticky toffee pudding ever!
We sat out side which was great ,a super new addition. the noise was a problem due to an irresponsible dog owner allowing his charge to run riot!
Not a customer of Fishers I hasten to add.
Waitress was totally disinterested , walked away three times while speaking with her to order , appeared to simply not be bothered ? Food good , service so bad that the meal was spoilt ! 10% automatic gratuity is really cheeky unless you know service is that poor ?
Great little homely restaurant with lovely food and great service
Friendly and unpretentious with fantastic fresh seafood
Really nice food and at a reasonable price. Great service. Lovely little restaurant.
