On one of the last nights before restaurants were forced to close again we were lucky enough to get a table here. Service was excellent and very attentive, and the wine was great. Starters and crab offerings were superb. Main courses were a little diappointing - both a fish dish and the lobster which was over-cooked and quite tough. Still one of our favouites though.
Excellent food, very good value. Good covid precautions in place . Friendly staff
Booked as soon as our lockdown restrictions lifted but never having been before. The food was really good, well cooked and tasty - great choices for all courses. Good wine choices too. Nice relaxed restaurant. Excellent value.
Great food and great ambience as always, and still family friendly
We celebrated our engagement on Saturday 19th December, the food was delicious. it was the first day of opening since the second lock down and the service a little muddled, we were offered a discount as compensation which was a nice gesture. We both love Fishers and would like to join them for New Year’s Eve if possible!
Fabulous as always, expecting these strange times, felt very safe yet unhurried and well looked after.
Food stunning of course... but that’s a given!
The restaurant was close, opentable is not updated
Fishers -lovely service, wonderful fish dishes, fabulous!!
Great fresh mackerel. COVID safe and good atmosphere.
Unfortunately many dishes were unavailable and the overall meal was not up to their usual standard. Disappointing.
Lovely place for excellent food and service. Easy to book a table and very welcoming , which made our evening complete. Thanks for all your care and help. Small but perfect for my wife and I.
Lovely evening out with friends. Food was great, as was the wine.
An absolutely beautiful lunch, where staff went above and beyond with providing a memorable experience for everyone.
I couldn’t recommend higher, they even accommodate for the non-fish eaters!!
As a regular visitor over many years is it without doubt the best fish restaurant in
Though the staff continually changes Alison is always a constant. Given all that is happening she is remarkably upbeat
Our evening here was absolutely perfect. The food was so well cooked and tasted amazing. But the part that made it for us was the impeccable service and warm hospitality. We shall definitely be coming back! Thank you!
Delicious 😋 food as per usual and equally as wonderful service!
Food was delicious presentation was great. My only criticism might be was that there wasn’t a lot of choice. Sign of the times perhaps but would definitely go again
A delicious lunch with friendly and helpful service. Bit of a wait for my Eton Mess pud, but definitely worth it!
Great food, lovely staff and an all round great experience.
Stunning fish restaurant with fabulous cooking and service. Can’t recommend highly enough.
Food was delicious! Staff were so so attentive. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return soon!
The food was tasty but service took forever and our orders got mixed up and noted incorrectly.
Superb food and service, lovely atmosphere on one of Bristol’s prettiest streets.
Fish is always fantastic here. Tables a bit close to each other though
Something must have gone badly wrong as the service was really poor. We arrived at 7.30, but it was 8.10 before our order was taken and I’d had to ask. On every course we chose, something was out. However, the food, once it came, was very good. Service continued to be slow and our mains were cleared at 9.40. Had to decline the offer of desert as there was no way we would have been done by the 10.00 curfew. The poor service was acknowledged by them not charging for some of our drinks but we left feeling very disappointed
really great food and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.
Had a fantastic meal! We were sat upstairs and we had a lovely gentlemen serve us, couldn’t of thanked him more! We wanted to tip but had no cash and there was no option when we paid to tip! Fantastic though, will be back!
We ordered mussels, oyster and scallop, and the mussels was brilliant, we had a great time! thank you
Lovely food, lovely people. All gluten free so excellent for coeliacs.
Lovely waitress Milica made our night, she was so sweet and welcoming. Food was amazing, we did enjoy rose too :))
From the Open Table booking, the Early dining set menu was still available but we were disappointed when we were told otherwise when we arrived. We could have booked for a later time to dine if we were not given a wrong information. There was actually no advantage to booking via Open Table!
Just super, lovely service, cannot remember the owners name but she was so kind and informative and the food and wine was superb
Looking for seafood restaurants in Bristol, we chose Fishers because if their high ratings. We sat outside and with the very pleasant weather it was nice. We wanted oysters for starter and fresh fish for main. The oysters were poor quality and overpriced at £3 each. Although they displayed wild fish on the menu, they had none ( only farmed) and we ordered plaice, sole and salmon. The plaice was very average and the dover sole piece rather small, never been served sole like this. On the positive side the cook cooked the fish well and the fish meal could have been very enjoyable if it was fresh.
Overall it was a great disappointment and would not recommend this restaurant. We made amends by treating ourselves to Rick Stein's seafood restaurant in Marlborough and that was a totally superior experience. Whilst the oysters were slightly more expensive at £3.5 each, they were out of this world.
Great food. Kept my jumper on as was a bit chilly with the window open, but in the circumstances, I’m happier and safer that way! 👍
Fantastic food with lovely staff. Always a special place to dine.
Absolutely charming. Dine here a lot. Staff are friendly and courteous and attentive. Covid friendly. Food is exquisite.
Food and drink was lovely.
Ambience was not the best because of only six people but it was nice having chance to chat without too much noise.
Excellent meal, and very good "social distancing" measures - albeit totally weather-dependent. Friendly service made for a very enjoyable evening.
My only criticisms are - the lack of access to toilets and excessive noise generated by a few insensitive drivers who seemed to delight in using the adjacent street as a race track.
Fishers is a fantastic restaurant. The menu constantly changes according to what us the freshest and highest quality. The service is great and they are always accommodating. I could not decide between the calamari and the tiger prawns for the starter. They suggested some of each. Problem solved.
I very enjoyable evening out with friendly staff and good food.
