A few olives for £3.50 and some stale bread at £4.00 was steep! Prawns seemed old and tasteless however the manager did deduct. Linguine and sea bass excellent! Loved the espresso pana cotta!

Excellent service, food was amazing, staff were very knowledgeable in helping us pick oysters and excellent value for money. Will definitely return. We had the oysters to start then the 3 tier chefs tasting selection. Great wine choices too.

There were steamed mussels in the menu on OpenTable, however, they weren’t part of the offer at the restaurant! Despite that, food and the service were great and it’s a very good restaurant !

Great food and great location near to several theatres! We had fish soup and prawns for starters: both were really tasty and yummy! Seafood platter and bouillabaisse as our mains: delicious!! The food and the wine selection are really good. Overall a really lovely meal in a nice setting. The service overall was good apart from the fact that I had booked a table specifically requesting a window seat, then on arriving was told there were no window tables for two people...only to see two other non-booked people arrive after us and be seated by the window. A small irritation in an otherwise very pleasant evening. We made use of the £20 off vouchers (available till 31st August) and ended up with £40 off our meal which was a bonus!

From the fresh chilling oysters and seafood to the fantastic and very classic bouillabaise, Fishworx was fantastic. The staff and service were also excellent and took care of our table of 5 beautifully and did not miss a step. Highly recommended across the board.

The whole atmosphere of the restaurant was wonderful & the staff couldn’t be more helpful. The fresh mussels were so fresh & tasty as were the Argentina Prawns & the Scallops. The presentation of the food completed the whole food experience.

We will return, the service was patient and relaxed, food was excellent. Even with 2 dining we were offered a large table... a great positive. We were not hurried through our 3 courses and left saying that there is a lot more for us to experience on the menu.

We had a 5.30 sitting for a 7.30 show and due to very slow service and one of the dishes being very over cooked- the Dover sole which was the most expensive dish on their menu and something they supposedly specialise in (they did replace the dish)- we were in a rush and unable to enjoy our main courses.

We also saw another table leave before they received their meals due to poor service so clearly this is a trend.

The rest of the dishes we received were tasty but wouldn’t return here for a pre theatre meal!!

Booked for a pre theatre meal. Arrived at 5.15. Restaurant very crowded and noisy. Service very amateurish and slow. One hour before we had our first course and after a lot of reminders. The food could not be criticised but the stress and lack of concern by the staff ruined the whole occasion. Management really did not seem to care that several tables within our earshot were annoyed at the service or lack of it. Nobody asked why I refused to pay the "optional" 12 1/2% service charge. Obviously a regular occurrence. Front of house cram far too many diners in - the kitchen can't cope and the waiting staff are overwhelmed and under trained. Come back Loch Fyne half the price and twice the customer care.

Clean open space. Staff helpful.
The main problem was the cooking. A very expensive 1.2 kg monkfish for two had been chargrilled and was dried out and tasteless. We had to ask for some hot olive oil and fresh garlic to pour over it to give it some flavour. Staff need to take some tips from nearby Barrafina on how to cook fish properly.
Whitebait and tuna tartare starters were fine though.

We visited for a 6pm booking last Friday as a pre-theatre meal. We were straight into very pleasing surroundings and sat at our table ordering our drinks by 6:07pm - so service was great.
We both sampled the pre-theatre menu and it was absolutely lovely. I'd go as far as to say some of the best food we've eaten this year.
Stand out dishes were the blackened mackerel and the seared tuna.
The house white wine complemented the food extremely well and it was easy to get jugs of iced tap water.
We both thoroughly enjoyed the experience and it set us up brilliantly for the remainder of the evening. Would absolutely thoroughly recommend and will definitely return.

Fishworks never ceases to amaze me! The food is always delicious and fresh - the fish is taken from a counter at the front of the shop, and the service is always excellent. The menu is well thought out and showcases the wonderfully diverse array of fish perfectly. Although Fishworks is primarily a seafood restaurant, it does provide a vegetarian option and plenty of deserts.

The staff are, usually, kind and helpful, and the tables are well set out. However they are often full so the noise levels can get very high.

Fishworks is a great place to eat, I would recommend it.

Service was good but we found the restaurant rather noisy. My wife had scallops and I had the Bouillabaise but neither of us were impressed with the flavour of our chosen dishes. We felt that we could do better in the area and do not intend to return.

We went for a off the cuff meal at Fishworks, we ordered the Dover Sole and whole Crab on ice as the main course, both we excellent, we finished with panacota and ice cream both complemented the main course! The wine we chose was Sancerre which was very agreeable.

The waitress was very attentive and on the ball, advising and giving recommendations.

All in all excellent.

Great service from our waiter Turgay, lovely fresh oysters and all courses, nothing rushed and we lingered long enough to make room for desert and coffee. Only niggle was as it’s busy on Saturday night and packed the small tables for 2 felt squished especially as you have people passing behind you if you’ve been stuck with aisle seat.

The prawn, ginger and chilli first course was delicious. Preparation of the prawns was exactly the way we prefer. Quality of the large prawns was excellent. Oven cooked whole seabass was the main course. The portions were succulent and a generous size. Excellent quality, fresh fish. Sides of pan fried spinach with garlic and pine nuts as well as crispy chips completed the course. The dessert menu was tempting but we chose ice cream.

Good food and service, but it is clear that they have not yet adapted to the pre-theatre rush. We started early, but many people were kept waiting for a long time between courses and were getting very anxious. Still worth a visit, but timing is important at the moment.

Even if I've been more than once in other Fishworks restaurants and i always enjoyed them, the experience at the new opening at Covent Garden was disappointing.
in an hours an 40 minutes we had 2 starters, after that, 4 out of 6 main courses were delivered to the table, and a plate of pasta, which we didn't order, was offered to the 2 people still waiting for their main.
The food was good, the service very poor and careless.

I'll certainly go back to Fishworks, probably not in this branch.

The location is great - really nicely situated in the heart of the West End. The restaurant itself is really well-decorated and has a nice, nautical vibe without being corny or over the top. The food is excellent. We had the Fritto Misto to share, then my girlfriend had the bouillabaisse and I had the spicy blackened mackerel - both dishes were excellent, and the starter of mixed fried delights was so fresh and light - I would’ve happily eaten two plates of that to myself. The mackerel was so fresh and tasted delicious, and my girlfriend’s bouillabaisse was equally fresh and well put together.

The service was...meh. They were friendly enough, but not very attentive. It seemed they were having some issues behind the scenes and seemed a flustered and rushed, so I understand they may not have been able to provide their usual quality of service and attentiveness, but our server didn’t check back to see if everything was okay (thankfully, it was), and didn’t ask us if we wanted more drinks, then when I wanted to ask for the bill, I had to go looking for someone - a nice lady came to provide the bill, but again I had to wait a good 5-10 minutes and couldn’t find anyone to take the card and we wanted to leave. I ended up heading to the front where the booking system was so I could get the bill paid for, and a guy who looked like he was from the kitchen sorted it for me, which is when he explained they’d had some issues. I get that, I really do, but at least let people know when it’s happening, rather than keep them in the dark, wondering what’s going on.

The very average service aside; the food was really amazing, and we would definitely go again. I’m gonna put the service issues down to them having an off-day, and it didn’t spoil the overall evening for us.
