Last minute booking , we had a our dinner plans changed at Saturday ouch time , so booked at table at the fish works , great staff , helpful , great service , great food
Great seafood restaurant near Covent Garden. Laid back atmosphere. Very attentive staff and the food is always good.
Xmas menu would have been preferable but would have had to give them notice which I wasn’t made aware of when booking. The standard menu was a little disappointing but service was good. can’t say I’ll return in a rush.
good food and service, clean and tidy, staff were very pleasant
The restaurant is very clean and tidy with great decor.
We were served by the amazing waitress Anna. We had the Argentinian Prawns and the Scallops to start they were very tasty and good value. For main course we had the Grilled Lobster this was delicious and a very good size.
Our waitress Anna was very knowledgeable about the food menu and the drinks menu.
She was also happy to recommend wine to us as well.
Quite simply we had a fabulous lunch at this restaurant and cant wait to return
This place is a must visit. Tasty food with a great menu selection. Very friendly and helpful staff. And also great chefs!!
The restaurant had run out of lobster and oysters. The service was great however
Been here before both when it was Loch Fyne & Fish works. Wonderful atmosphere, great food, and wonderful service. What is there not to like? It is now my go-to restaurant in Town both on my own, with my partner, or bringing guests or for a meeting. Highly recommended.
We were given ample attention, went over all details carefully. Didn't feel rushed at all.
Excellent food and service. Very relaxed atmosphere
Fresh food and good fish variety! Nice dinner before lockdown!!!
Lovely dinner for a friends birthday. Staff were lovely and unhelpful with service.
Happy with previous experience at Swallow St. branch decided to visit this one for our last pre lockdown supper.
Scallops-ok-ish; dry and no finesse.
Argentinean prawns - underdone and swimming in butter, nice flavour but again nothing special.
And now to the mains. My boyfriend described his linguine as the dish he would prepare as a student (overcooked pasta, tinned sardines and tomatoes), he liked it for sentimental reasons. I tried it and the pasta was definitely overdone and didn't find any seafood (£19). My seabass was overcooked and tiny. Side green vegetables were great!
Reluctant to order the dessert after that I have to admit I really enjoyed the lemon tart!!
Our waitress was brilliant; attentive, smiling and professional.
Shame really but this is another of many places in London that you leave it with a massive disappointment and feeling that you have just been robbed.
Great food and great service, as usual. It was very quiet, not surprisingly. I really hope Fishworks survives the COVID restrictions.
Great value set menu and wine list. Delicious food
Amazing experience at the FishWorks, Catherine St.
Staff, Food and venue lived up to all my expectations. Thank you and look forward to returning..
We had a lovely lunch at Fishworks and the team looked after us well. The food was fresh and well prepared and good value for the set lunch. It was a little sad to see the restaurant so quiet with London just moved into Tier2, so hope to return in the future when things return to a better normality. Thank to the staff for looking after us.
My friend and I visited Fishworks on a Friday evening, the ambience and noise level were fine to allow us to have a conversation but enjoy the atmosphere. The staff were welcoming and very helpful.
The food was delicious and gave alternatives to those who didn't want to have fish.
I would highly recommend and don't know why it's taken me this long to find it - I would go again.
Food was excellent, service friendly and safe. The fish soup was hearty and tasty. The grilled seafood platter was superb, everything fresh and cooked perfectly. The chocolate brownie was wonderfully rich. All in all a fabulous meal. I'm so glad that we were able to meet our friends and spend such a good time with them before London moved to tier 2 restrictions.
Amazing food and quality service - I tried my first oysters here and the guidance provided by the staff was top notch! Great value, great food, top wine, lovely atmosphere. Would fine again.
My first visit to Fishworks with a friend. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful and three courses for £20.50 deal very good value. I was happy to pay a £4 supplement for my scallop starter which, as expected, was delicious. I chose fish and chips for my main course. The fish was delicious and the batter light and crispy. I have already recommended this restaurant to friends.
Good food and good ambience, would definitely recommend
We had a lovely time celebrating my father's birthday. The service was excellent and very attentive, and food very tasty. Would recommend!
There were only two other tables for lunch due to the Chinese Corona Virus.
The noise level was ok, but the music was slightly too loud for me. My hearing is not that great so it would probably be fine for most people.
If you have been a fan of Fishworks and have your favourites then you wont be disappointed. No big changes kn the menu.
Jesus!!!
Oysters & scallops were lovely, Desert most definitely wasn’t, Raspberry & Apple crumble with custard to share, basically”CHEF” didn’t have his glasses on & mistook salt for Sugar I got one spoonful down my wife had to spit it out, not very dignified, we were offered a replacement but declined, I could not taste my macchiato it just tasted of salt, we both left our coffees all we could taste was salt when we got home my wife just felt sick. No way does knocking a discretionary service charge off the bill compensate for a ruined evening.
Pleasant restaurant, friendly staff, good food, a no rush service. Definitely go back
Staff were amazing! And the food was fabulous, with a great wine recommendation. Will definitely be back :)
The food was served was cold. There was no seasoning for the prawn starter I had. The fried fish I had was soggy and not cod as I thought and chips were OK but not enough.
The worst thing was the ladies toilets, it was dirty, toilets were leaking and someone left a plastic box to cover the leak and very smelly and if I had to sit downstairs next to the toilets, it would have been horrendous! At least, I expected the managers of restaurants to check these out as part of their management!!
When we came to pay the bill, we were overcharged for food that we did not order, there was no real apology of the error made.
Small portions. Good service. Fish and chips were nice! Other dishes were ok.
Yummy food! Great service at a great price! Recommend the pre threatre meal x
We ordered the prawns for starters which were extremely small portion and the prawns were like warm... then we ordered the Dover sole which again was like warm and not the greatest considering we paid an arm and a leg for it. The service was slow. Was disappointed. We just felt it was very average for what we paid.
This was a great place for a pre-theatre meal. Was priced just right and food quality was great.
I haven’t been here before but have been to Swallow Street. I thought the customer service and food were great. The noise level was tricky. We were a group of six and and struggled to hear people. Recommend and will revisit.
The pre-theatre menu was good quality and very good value!
Great service, the venue is nice, and the location is very central and close to theatres
delicious food. great service from our very attentive waiter
Order lobster would not recommend it not worth the money very disappointed.
The food was lovely and the waiter provided a first class service. Thanks!
4 of us on a Sunday teatime. The restaurant was quiet and not very busy. 2 of us had the pre theatre menu which was mostly good value, although the dishes most appetising all had a supplement. I had the tuna which was delicious. 2 of us shared a lobster, and they enjoyed it very much. Service was polite and helpful. I would have liked to see a side dish included with the set menu; the dishes needed a side (apart from the fish and chips) and it just adds to the set menu price. Food was nice, service at 12.5 % does ramp the price up, but I guess it is central London. All in all, a good dining experience.
Fantastic food
We had the seafood platters
Staff welcoming
Will definitely be back
Fantastic food & wine.
The waitress we had recommended the wine to go with the meal and was spot on.
I would definitely recommend Fishworks.
