Great view, great service, super friendly staff, food pretty good.....way over-priced.
The Flagstaff House is a long-time Boulder classic. One-of-a-kind setting, fine cuisine and amazing wine list.
We dined to celebrate our anniversary a few days after the COVID re-opening. Had a lovely outdoor table that was scenic, private and socially-distanced.
The service, as always is professional and perfect.
Love love loved the view. Amazing wine, food was good overall, but expensive for the price. I'd definitely go back for dessert and drinks!
Thank you for making our 25th Anniversary so special!!! The food was delicious, the service was amazing (shout out to our waiter David), the view of Boulder is so beautiful! The absolute best restaurant!!!
We come every year for our anniversary! Absolutely love this restaurant! The staff is so friendly and I have celiac so its amazing to eat at a restaurant that caters so well to allergies!
Gourmet food, excellent wine, and a beautiful view of Boulder. I hope they bring back the Chocolate Bag dessert!
Incredible service and exceptional food. Thanks for a great evening!
Was great to get out and enjoy an amazing dinner at Flagstaff. Me and my fiancé recommend going here and can’t wait till we are back there to eat some more amazing food.
Amazing! Absolute perfection! I definitely recommend the Chef’s tasting menu paired with wine.
Everything was excellent except the dessert. Wondered why it took a wait of over 20 minutes after ordering for our dessert to come to the table. The strawberry crème fraiche was rock hard. Obviously left in the freezer the last couple months. Consistency of melted and then refrozen ice cream.
My husband and I had dinner there for our Anniversary and I have never had a more exquisite dining experience in my life. The view was magnificent, the staff we’re professional and attentive. Five stars in my estimation.
Overpriced for what you get. Food was either too complicated or bland. For $88 a person I expected more. The staff was great and the view was excellent. I just wish the food was better.
Great service as they reopened
This was a little dated, as far as good food is concerned. There was nothing wrong with it, but it was a little antiquated in approach, method, flavor profile. Or it was trying too hard in some places. It's an old vibe with mostly old people (we're in our mid 30s).
The view is stunning though.
Service was outstanding , you couldn't get a better view of Boulder at night. Connor our server made our night. Food was varied and good, can be a little costly other than that the night was great. Definitely going to be a repeat diner.
Once again the experience was wonderful! The food was outstanding and the service was impeccable! Not inexpensive, but worth the trip once a year!
Enjoyed our dining experience very much. You made our anniversary very special. The lobster was a little chewy but other than that very good. The amount of plates you go through is slightly disturbing, we counted 34 not counting the glass ware. The amount of water used must be quite high. I don't want you to think it took away from out evening just an observation.
Fabulous special occasion restaurant with great food, extraordinary service, lovely ambience, and beautiful views.
Delicious and fun dining experience. Amazing view of Boulder at night. Wonderful service.
21st birthday dinner. Excellent service and food!
Great as always. Excellent Som made a great wine recommendation. As always 10/10
Everything was perfect. Fancier spots tend to serve smaller portions, but we left with full and happy stomachs. The food was perfect and the drinks were tasty!
The food was incredibly bland and uninspired. It wasn't only not worth the cost it just left you wanting and disappointed.
Everyone knows about the quality of the Flagstaff House. We also noticed how easy it was to carry on a conversation, or to hear the server. Attention has been paid to the type of wall and floor covering (and ceiling, it was pointed out), as well as the type of chair upholstering used. Smart!
Wonderful food, exciting new drink possibilities, great service and fantastic view. Great for special occasions.
I made a reservation for our anniversary dinner, we had attentive service and the food was outstanding. We had the Chef's Tasting Menu and would absolutely recommend it.
This was our second visit to Flagstaff House. Everything was simply outstanding. Even when half of our party was almost 30-minutes late, the staff still managed to deliver a flawless dining experience. The waiter and wine staff expertly created wine pairings to go along with our 3-course meal. As usual, looking out over the city of Boulder is worth the visit alone. My only issue is, that is difficult to select between foie gras, duck breast, and venison in the second course -- a nice problem to have.
Great, but we ate too much. Perhaps it is better not to order the multicourse meals but get two courses and desert. It is definitely worth leaving space for desert and (french style) espresso, which is absolutely fantastic. Better than in any Paris cafe.
It was excellent!
The food was Awesome! They did not rush us thru dinner. Every course was extremely well presented. The S’more was an experience
I don't know how they do it but it is always a consistently a fantastic experience from the front door to desert and back to the front door. Always great to see familiar faces especially Page. It's probably by having professionals in charge and being able to train that makes the service so consistently great. I look forward to returning as soon as I can.
Flagstaff has great ambiance and the food is very good as well. It makes for a very nice evening out for special occasions. However, the menu has changed over the years to steer one toward a three course or "chef's tasting menu". This drives the final cost up, likely over $250 for two "three course" dinners, two drinks, and the tip.
As usual the food was delectable, the wine divine and the service outstanding. It was an incredible experience all around. Cheers to Adam and his crew.
Fabulous food and absolutely astounding view of Boulder from the mountain.
Requested is specific table and was not satisfied with that
The most outstanding part of our experience was the service. It was almost like a well executed production with each part getting it exactly right. We never had an empty wine glass, the food was paced perfectly, staff was kind and professional and anticipated our every need. Additionally, the setting is stunning and the food interesting and unique but not bizarre. There is something on the menu for everyone. For us, it is a special occasion event. It is at a higher price point and not the kind of decadence we might pursue on a regular basis. We went for the first time 30 years ago, and on returning this year, were not at all disappointed. It has stood the test of time!
Underwhelming. Food was bland. Sea bass was way under cooked (I worked in front and back end of a very nice seafood restaurant for 5 years). Server dropped off drink menus and never followed up. Had to ask for bread 3X. View of Boulder was amazing but I never plan to see it from the flagstaff house again.
Perfect dinner. This was the first fixed menu we have had at Flagstaff. Several choices and great service. Very impressed with the improvements the house has made to the decor, soft and subtle. This is our special dinner place and the Valentines dinner was perfect.
