Overall a good steakhouse. In a pandemic it’s tough for all places I am sure. Service was good. Steak was good. A bit undercooked for me but the plate was hot so I was able to get the steak to the right temp. I would go back for sure
Amazing that is all that is needed to say
Superb in every way!!
Manhattan prices for suburban-level, mediocre meat and a pedestrian wine list. Service was ok, atmosphere was dead (we'll chalk that up to Covid), and, overall, a disappointing experience, especially when weighed against the value vs. the bill. If this is what you expect to spend for a great steak and a true steakhouse experience, do yourself a favor and make the trip to Peter Lugar 's or one of the other fine establishments in NYC. (When they reopen, of course).
The food and service were fantastic. The manager went out of his way to find us the vintage wine we wanted without complaint and the food was amazing. The servers were very involved and attentive. I can't wait to go back.
Just love it at Flames. We are steakhouse lovers and have been to many, but Flames is definitely on the top of our list. Service is wonderful, food is awesome and we like the fact that it is the perfect size restaurant so noise level is moderate. Looking forward to going back soon!
Very friendly, informative service. Waiter was attentive and helpful, always with a smile. Food was excellent...lobster appy special was huge, drinks were generous. Maybe a little pricey ($300+ with tip for 2), but comparable to other steakhouses in Westchester and Manhattan. Ambience and service made it worth the price, especially for special occasions.
My boyfriend took me to Flames for my birthday back in July. We had such a special experience that I decided to take him back to celebrate his birthday. Once again, Flames did not disappoint. From the atmosphere, to the food, to the service--everything was perfect. I know we're experiencing unprecedented times, but that did not stop Flames' staff from giving us a top notch fine dining experience. As a comparison, we had dinner at BLT Steak in October and it did not meet our expectations. Unlike Flames, BLT did not serve our steak or sides and they lacked fresh sea food and various wines. I'm happy to say that Flames made sure my boyfriend's steak was cooked to perfection, and then proceeded to serve him his steak and our sides. They also have a large variety of cocktails and an extensive wine list. For dinner, I ordered the twin lobster tails (ordered the same back in July) and they were to die for. We will now celebrate all of our special occasions at Flames, and I will continue to recommend their excellent service and impeccable food to all of my friends and family. Thank you, Flames!
Good was delicious. Waiters were attentive.
The Restaurant Week steak was good along with the service. The wines are relatively expensive.
Amazing service, amazing food.
Very nice and relaxing lunch with great service and great food.I would love to go again
It’s always amazing
Simply put, you will never be disappointed with the food or service
First time here. Very good steakhouse. Excellent steaks. We ate outside.
Really enjoy Flames. Service is good and the food is delicious.
We love the clams oreganato, clams on the half shell, the steaks and the best creamed corn anywhere.
The steak was like butter and the sides were quite tasty. The waiters were attentive and they extended excellent service.Their outdoor option was perfect for us under this current COVID time.
Looking forward to a return visit!
We made a reservation on line and when we showed up the place was closed. Apparently they close on Monday’s and didn’t care to close that day on their reservation app.
Although we had to ask for the “Restaurant Week” menu during restaurant week, the food was excellent and service very friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
We were able to make a reservation for outdoors. When we arrived they tried to tell us we would have to sit inside. I protested and they accommodated and we got a table outside. Lovely ambiance on a nice night. The steak was sliced when it arrived and ordered medium but it looked very rare in the middle. Since the plate was hot the waiter “cooked” the slices a bit in the juices on the plate. It was tasty but not the best steak I’ve ever eaten by far. My baked potato was eh. I could make a crispier skin at home. But the bread on the table was excellent.
Great steak and great service! We will be back.
We are regular customers who absolutely think Flames is an excellent steakhouse.
Food and portions was good
Nice friendly staff
This is our favorite local steakhouse. The steak is always cooked to perfection! The appetizers we've had, including baked clams and shrimp cocktail, are also delicious.
The waitstaff is professional and incredibly attentive. They fix any issue immediately with grace. When my husband's wine was off (they told us up-front it was the last of the bottle), they took it away and replaced it, no questions asked.
A perfect place for a date night, special occasion, or just because you want some great steak!
One of our favorite restaurants in Westchester County, N Y. The food is always superb, the wait staff and service is wonderful. We have been customers since this great steak house opened. Truly a gem.
Great service. Food was amazing! Will definitely return
Great service and ambience.
Best steak in Westchester
Absolutely delicious! Staff is so thorough, knowledgeable, friendly and professional. We had a great night. Thank you!
This is our favorite steakhouse in Westchester. The food and the service are always excellent!
Wait staff was very helpful and attentive. Steak was excellent as well as baked clams entree'.
My wife and I had a spontaneous dinner at flames in Elmsford last night, February 20th. About 10 minutes before the end of our meal I had to leave so I left my wife to pay the bill. My wife does not usually have to take care of the bill when we go out so she is not accustomed to the standard tip percentage. She left some tip and left the restaurant to her car. While at her car the waiter came to her and told her the tip was not enough. She then went into her purse and handed him an additional $20. He took the $20 then told her “she should not come back”. I do not know what type of establishment shakes down customer for tips which is at the discretion of the customer. My wife told me about her experience this morning. I called the restaurant because I was appalled after hearing what happened. The manager in his own words said they should not have to hassle customers for tip as if the staff has a right to tips. Understand that tips are based on the service and in the event you are not satisfied with the tip you do not have a right to shake down a customer then in addition tell them they are no longer welcome. What type of business does this especially after not knowing the circumstances or finances of a customer. Rest assured I will not be returning and will spend my money elsewhere. I wonder if we were not minorities would we have had the same experience. Horrible! Rude! Unprofessional! and outright racism!! I am so disappointed and the leadership should be held accountable because they allow this type of behavior from the staff. This type of behavior will not be accepted in our community.
Just wanted a really good steak. So I Went
Very attentive service and great steak!!
Fantastic Valentine's dinner! Wife and I started with the Canadian Bacon and Caesar salad for our appetizers, both were great. Dinner was Ribeyes, creamed spinach and lobster Mac and cheese. Mac and cheese wasn't great, creamed spinach was good, but the steak was absolutely fantastic, definitely one of the better steaks in Westchester! Dessert was their chocolate mousse which was surprisingly very good! Quick and excellent service, will definitely return.
Food and service was great
The steaks were amazing
Sides were marginal
The best Old School steakhouse around, including NYC. Amazing service and the best Porterhouse you can find.
Fantastic steak and very fresh lobster...the best I've had. Had a late lunch so we were there alone (3:30) but they didn't rush us out and made us feel most welcome to take our time. Old fashioned steakhouse feel in a good way...
The food was excellent quality and well prepared. Service was professional and very attentive. The only minor problem was my rib steak was TOO marbled and there were a bunch of large fatty sections. This is fine dining as it should be.
I visit Flames regularly with my wife and we thoroughly enjoy every aspect of the experience. The food ambiance and service just excellent and we will continue our visits during the New Year.
