Truly spectacular food I'll definitely return. Definitely try the seared tuna just wow what an adventure for your taste buds.
We ordered the bread (something I'd never usually get) because of all the reviews talking about it and was shocked how good it was. Some of the best bread I've ever had plus you need it to mop up all the deliciousness from the ceviche dressings.
Very nice interesting food - with great set menu
Absolutely delicious food, really unusual and beautifully presented. Clearly a popular place - and our second visit. We’ll be back!
Great place delicious food , friendly and super efficient and helpful staff and very knowledgeable about all the food. Only point ( hardly a criticism) but food came very quickly , but was very fresh and delicious. I think we had barely ordered and it was there ! I would have liked a few minutes to relax , get comfy and have a drink first but it was Friday night and busy for them.
Food was amazing but stuff was of really poor quality compared to the food. E.g. could not even advise what kind of wine was best for the food served and could not give a clear description of each plates served
Outstanding food, with an excellent pre-theatre menu.
We were sadly quite disappointed with our meal at Floral by Lima. The service was friendly and our 'small plates' were mainly tasty, though the creamy potatoes had a slightly odd after taste and our cocktails arrived after them which seemed strange as the restaurant was half empty. My stone bass main was pretty small considering the price and the flavours so strong to be almost unpleasant. My partner's lamb was apparently good but both our side dishes were almost inedible, which is saying something as I'm not at all fussy and enjoy a wide variety of flavours and cuisines. The seasonal vegetables were overcooked and the sauce so overpowering it didn't work at all as a side. Neither of us could eat the yukka fries as they were so dense, dry and tasteless and I can't remember the last time I actually couldn't eat part of a meal. We shared the chocolate mousse for dessert as I wasn't really keen to try anything more adventurous due to the strange and unappealing mix of flavours in some of the previous dishes. Most reviews of the restaurant are positive so maybe I picked the wrong dishes but at £65 each for an underwhelming meal, I won't risk coming back.
Really lovely food! We had the pre-theatre menu and it was a great choice. Tasty cocktails too
The food was outstanding, did not disappoint, from starters to desserts. The waiting staff were also very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be going back!
I had a wonderful birthday lunch at Floral by Lima. It was not busy - perhaps Saturday lunchtimes are not a busy time for this restaurant - which made it all the more enjoyable. The Pisco Sours are superb, and the brunch menu was truly excellent - such delicate yet spicy flavours. The service was really friendly and professional.
Excellent food about all else! A real experience and I only did the pretheatre menu
We really enjoyed our experience at Floral Lima. The flavours were unusual but very good and the ambience and service was good too. Prices reasonable for central London right in middle of Theatreland.
A great combination of different, exciting food in a warm and friendly environment. The staff were lovely and dealt effortlessly with the demands of dealing with a gluten free diet and an onion free diet requirement of another diner in the group. It was fun, delicious and the wine and cocktails also excellent. All in all a great place to spend an evening.
Lovely food, great atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone looking for something different around Covent Garden.
The restaurant was not very busy so ambience was missing. We were handed the menu but not told about the pre theatre menu which we had to ask for. We opted for this but portions of food were quite small so we ended up ordering three extra dishes to avoid feeling hungry still. Although food was tasty we felt it was overpriced for what you get.
The staff were wonderful. The food was really nothing special and especially as a vegetarian / someone who occasionally eats meat that's been produced without chemicals and with care and respect to animals and their living/dying conditions - your menu had very few options. I'm sure you get a lot of tourists through - the loud poppy music and over priced menu kind of exaggerated that vibe. My companions are meat/fish eaters and found their food was enjoyable but I honestly wish I'd spent that £90 somewhere else.
The food was very good, with some highlights (pork belly, duck tiradito, scallop ceviche) and some so-so dishes (yucca fries are not definitely my thing). The service was a bit hit-and-miss too: we had three/four different waiters: some were nice and attentive, while others did not show one single smile during the whole dinner. In general, they all seemed a bit too eager to remove our plates, which is something I never appreciate.
The wine list is a bit short, and the mark-ups are very high, but unfortunately that's a problem of basically every restaurant in central London.
All in all a good experience, maybe not as good as our first visit (which in all honesty was a couple of years ago).
Excellent food and great service. The only drawback is the acoustics, when the restaurant is full it can get loud and difficult to hold a conversation with your table companions. Wouldn't put me off going again though.
Very friendly and attentive hosts, great food and excellent service
Excellent food; highly recommend sharing all the small plates
The food was great. Really helpful advice from waiter on how much to order. Amazing atmosphere
Unfortunately dismal. I think it has been for some time but I did have a good experience back when it opened. The biggest fault is with the kitchen. They were not able to achieve the correct balance of flavours with the dishes. Saltado with too much soy even by restaurant managers own admission. Bizarrely he decided to suggest the prawns as a replacement dish but they also came in a sauce which after first round seemed a bit of a gamble on his part. The sauce appeared to have a huancaino inspiration but was rich without sufficient contrast. It is a shame but it appears to be for tourist walk ins and anyone that googles a restaurant search for Covent Garden. Oh and by the way I do know what I'm talking about having lived in Peru and very familiar with Peruvian fine dining and not so fine but equally delicious. The restaurant lets down the name of Peruvian gastronomy as the best in the world.
Boozy brunch was fun. Was worried about service given some of the reviews but they were very friendly & even if you did have to chase for a top up now & then it wasn’t too much of an inconvenience. Food came a little too quick if anything.
A very pleasant dining experience. Will definitely come back!
A very enjoyable meal, with many eclectic tastes and textures. Recommend a visit. 😊😊😊
We were disappointed by our overall experience at Floral by Lima. It started off great with prompt seating and attention by waitstaff when we sat down. The drinks we had (Piscos) were lovely. The restaurant seemed to quickly get overwhelmed - the salmon tiradito had no flavour, the yuca fries were dense and a little soggy. We were brought an incorrect entree and when we said it wasn’t for us, we were treated with a gruff “well, that’s what the order said”. No apologies. We waited another 20 min and our main did not arrive. When we gave feedback to the manager, we were told the issues we had were the Kitchen’s fault, not his. Overall - hope they can improve service and food timing as great location and some good things on the menu (sea bream ceviche was lovely).
Tasty food and nice environment! Portions felt slightly stingy and the service wasn’t particularly warm/attentive.
The staff were fabulous and made our evening special
Nothing special and fairly expensive. Happy I went but probably won’t return
We started with pisco sour happy hour rate (1 free 1) and the had the pre theatre meals at £19 for 3 course, my fav was the pork belly. Service was good, recommended.
Have been before and enjoyed the tapas style, but on this occasion they didn’t have either bottle of wine we wanted and it ultimately took most of the meal to get a glass of wine by which point we’d finished our food. Possibly won’t return.
Beautiful food! Would 100% recommend this restaurant
Small dishes were great but main dishes all disappointing/bland
Over priced for what it was
Went to Floral for my birthday, even though it was a quiet sunday service was a bit slow. Loved the starters but main signature prawn dish came raw and the sauce was super fishy, sent it back, came back tasting the same. We were still charged 19pounds for it though. Won't return
We got there at 5.50pm just in time for the end of Happy Hour - 2 for 1 on Pisco Sours. We had a booking as we were going to the theatre - but slightly disappointed to find out in the small print that the Pre Theatre menu isn't available on Saturday's. However they promised us swift service and we just ordered a few small dishes to share. . The waiter explained the food to us when he served it. The cerviche is always a treat and the other dishes were of an equally high standard. It stands out as a restaurant / bar with great character and something a little different.
Authentic Peruvian food with an upmarket twist. Great ceviche and yuca fries. The pre-theatre menu is very good value.
Great spot and food. Great location if you are headed to a play. It is a little hidden but nothing Google can't help you find. No standard Brit fare, which we were loving.
I was at Floral Lima a few years ago, and to be honest the food was more exciting, less heavy, and tastier. All the dishes we shared were very good, but much heavier than I remember. Take it with a grain of salt. It was still a good experience and an enjoyable dinner.
Lunch set menu was excellent and good value. Some reviews suggest portions small but we didn't think so.
Service friendly and helpful with our queries about menu choices.
Good food, bad service. We sat outside and the table was completely neglected to the extent we had to go inside and ask to order, wait for long periods before plates were collected and had to go inside again to ask to pay.
