My wife and I went for Sunday roast and the beef was so tender.
Lovely food and atmosphere.
Good value for money too.
I will definitely go back
Food was poor , I ordered steak and it was very fatty cut.
Less than impressed. Half of the menu was unavailable and food was just average
Food wasn't very impressive, and the service was ok at some points, but not at others... took 20 extra minutes for our flatbread to come out and the server was rude when I asked after it.
The food was amazing and I got a huge portion of beef lasagne. The wine was OK. Quite quiet when I arrived but the noise level went up as I ate which is fine. I prefer the noise to the quiet. Service was great until I wanted to pay. I waited almost 20 minutes trying to catch someone's attention .
Overpriced, average food and mean portions. Would never return.
Lovely bread! Good service although a bit to much upselling.
Delicius food and good service. We would have liked the Ostrich brunch, but you have to prebook that. It would have been nice to know beforehand. But we godt some other very very nice food 🙂
Friendly and flexible service, tasty food, nice atmosphere. We spent every dinner during our stay in London there
Lovely restaurant, friendly staff and we even got a complimentary cocktail each and sweet potato fries on the house! Would definitely go back again
-I booked online and received confirmation, however when we arrived the booking could not be found. We were found a table at the very back of the restaurant.
- Nobody offered to take our coats and Nowhere for guests to hang coats.
-service extremely slow.
- only of our party of 4 offered a glass of water.
-Cod main was bland
Cocktails were not nice (London flower and I forgot the name of the other one that has Mezcal in it)
- Not a wide variety of choice on the menu
- live music from bar can be heard in the restaurant.
- close to station
- lamb Shank main
- waiter adjusted my order with no fuss.
Staff are pleasant and friendly
Overall, I would not return.
Really enjoyed the experience. Great food, excellent attentive and friendly service. Will go back, for sure.
I didn't get to enjoy my table at the Florentine Restaurant. Despite the website allowing me to book a table for 23h, I was only informed at 20h42 that the kitchen would close at 22h30. I was at a play, couldn't pick up the phone or make plans for another restaurant. My booking was made on Thursday morning. There was plenty of time to inform me dinner wouldn't have been possible. Or maybe, not allow bookings at 23h...
Great place to catch up with friends over good food and with great service.
Florentine has a very nice food and wine menu. The ambience was great with a nice open feel to the place. Later there was a live singer playing the piano which sounded great. Service is good when you can get the attention of the waitors. A good place to enjoy a relaxed meal with friends and family.
Nice place but limited brunch menu - nothing that doesn’t have eggs. Food was mediocre - big portion sizes but the sausage wasn’t very nice and food was not piping hot so got cold very quickly. Lattes were a bit on the bitter side. Service was okay, nothing standout. Decent enough if you happen to be nearby and need breakfast but wouldn’t rush back.
Our starters were good, but the pasta we ordered as our main tasted fairly bland. However, the service was great.
Friendly and fast service from the moment we arrived. The sweet potato and mushroom soups were perfect and the rustic bread made fresh on site was good too, arriving warm and not overly flavoured with the rosemary and rock salt. The lamb was cooked well and complimented the mash and gravy, it may not suit those who prefer their meat seasoned with herbs but is definitely worth it for those who appreciate just the taste of the meat. The steak came exactly as requested and the chips were just the right size. A good meal and worth a visit for lunch.
It is a casual relaxed resturant/bar. comfortable seating. but not disabled freindly as no ramp down to resturant area. It has a few steps, with hand rails. basic menu. not exactly exciting.
wine was a welcome surprise , good wine excellent price. We chose Dashwood Sauvignon blanc, from New Zealand. Rustic bread was very tasty. beef lasagne was good very filling. overall a good place to eat. unfortunetly not so good if you are not so able bodied.
It was perfect! And our waiter was great as well!
Fantastic food and fantastic staff!! We hope to come back to taste the ostrich egg.
Great evening and nice buzz to the place. Staff are friendly and attentive. Food was nice and reasonably priced. Shared some flatbreads with generous fresh toppings.
Woeful service from the start. Didn’t take drinks order even though we repeatedly asked for it to be taken. Flat champagne delivered. Group of six given two menus to share. Mains came fine. Side order was mixed up and when I told waiter he huffed that I had indeed given him that order and I was wrong (buddy I wasn’t - I would order half a jacket sweet potato to share between six of us, I ordered the fries). Asked for a bottle of sparkling water, never turned up. Music was so loud. Woeful. Don’t go.
Delicious food! Service a bit slow
The food was quite good, we tried the flatbread as a shared starter, and it was nice but not outstanding.
The steak and chips was very good, steak done as requested (medium rare) and seemed to be a decent quality, whilst the chips were delicious. Other food was good but nut very good.
The men's toilet had 2 cubicles neither of which had locking doors. The management said they would fix this ASAP, but I wonder why they had not got this done earlier … aren't the cleaners meant to inform them of problems like that or don't they clean regularly. Perhaps they need to see to the way they manage things in that respect.
Overall it appeals to customers of the hotel whom do not want to go out, but as a visitor we found it a bit overpriced for what it was.
Our trip to Florentine was very nice. I was surprised to find it within the Park Plaza hotel as this was not mentioned online. The setting was lovely and the ambience was also very nice. It was nice and clean, and drinks service when we arrived for brunch was swift, although the coffee could have been a little hotter. Service throughout was attentive and they also did a special plate of treats for my mum as it was her birthday. My only complaint was that when our food arrived it wasn’t very hot, I had the full English and it was a struggle to cut through the sausage as it had clearly been standing for a few minutes and had hardened. Other plates on the table were also not particularly warm. The eggs were perfectly poached, and a good portion size, just a shame that they weren’t nice and hot for a warming brunch. Value for money I thought was brilliant, a gorgeous glass of fizz for £6.50 is a Gatsby style glass was a lovely treat to celebrate my mum’s birthday.
Ordered a full English that came with American style rash bacon, a undercooked sausage and very hard bread. The portion size was also very small for £13 with just one mushroom on the plate and very few baked beans. I would have expected better from a restaurant inside a Hilton. The salmon on the eggs royale also tasted like it had come straight out the freezer. Would not recommend going to this place for breakfast.
Went for the Hercules burger - 2.2kg of burger and loads of chips and sweet potato fries. It was excellent!!! Had it without the bun (got to watch the belly!)
Disappointing. Food not very good and expensive. Service ok, but lacking atmosphere. Will not return.
The restaurant is very good for a hotel. We were very relaxed and the children were well catered for on the menu.
The service was very quick and the staff were polite and friendly. The place was quite busy, but the food arrived surprisingly quickly. The wine was quite expensive, and only came in 125 or 500 sizes, but we had double 125s. There wasn't a 175 size.
Excellent, professional and genuine service! I was really pleased with my experience and my mrs was also impressed. I’ll be back soon!
It was a pleasant visit, we would definitely visit again.
Wonderful lunch out with the girls....great variety on the menu and my scrambled eggs and salmon was yummy! Great service and price! We will be back!
Very average in terms of food quality and experience
Staff were shocking and inexperienced and frankly quite rude
This is an outstanding restaurant. A hidden gem! Great tasting food, fantastic staff, it was all around a pleasant experience. I want to say a special thanks to the manager who made our last meal in London a memorable one.
Grim - like an airport restaurant, but cheap. Hadn’t appreciated it was just the canteen for a hotel
Great service! Really good people works there. Managers and team all seemed to be working together as a team making service great again
Deuxième visite et toujours aussi délicieux ! Le service est ultra sympa, les plats sont fantastiques, le cadre magnifique, et le rapport qualité prix excellent.
