    Overpriced food, but attentive service. I came to Florentine when it first opened 6 or so years ago. Then it was good value. Now it is overpriced and clearly aimed at hotel guests who are willing to pay for convenience. £6.50 for three fingers of foccacia and £8.50 for three small pieces of parma ham is extreme, even by London standards. The wine list is overpriced too. The pizzas were good quality, but, again, expensive. Fortunately, the service was friendly, but I won't be returning.

    I live locally so been going to this place from the beginning. Service was outstanding:) however, the menu has changed from what it was from the beginning. Little selection compare to before such as no more Lamb Shank on the menu, burger, Sunday roast, Lady fingers tempura and the beautiful soft baked rosemary bread and sea salt is now dry and toasted small slices(a bit dry). Food is still good and tasty overall just lack of selection compare to prior to Covid. Nothing negative about the service. Pleasant and helpful team. :)

    Thankyou to the wonderful team on duty on evening of 3/8/23 at the Waterloo Park Plaza restaurant.....we were made to feel very welcome and the celebratory drinks on the house for the occasion we were celebrating were so much appreciated! We both had a lovely evening and the staff were fantastic in every way, as was the food and drink.

    Went for dinner with my wife and was very excited about the place as it looked real nice and the ostrich eggs, it happens that they don't have ostrich eggs in there anymore. I think they should update it on their website and Google as we felt very disappointed. Waitresses seem to be very distracted, there was some drama going on with a customer screaming which happens sometimes, but I don't think this should take the attention of the whole staff. We were waiting 15 minutes for cutlery, so we took the ones from next table as our food had arrived already, he gave us such a stare for taking the cutlery from the next table and came puffing to replace the ones we took, I guess he was expecting us to eat with our hands. The kitchen is exposed, so we can see what is going on there, and oh God, the chefs were CONSTANTLY eating, licking their fingers while preparing the food which to be honest almost made me leave. For the service they provide I think is super overpriced, we didn't enjoy the food as we constantly saw cheffs licking fingers, wine was hot, lasagne was tasting weird, the chicken parmigiana was literally nothing special. Definitely not going back at all, I don't think that place should ever be called an Italian restaurant.

    Very nice restaurant and very well presented food. A little on the pricey side particularly the steak but still, very nice. I visited in Easter holidays and the restaurant was very noisy with lots of families but it wasn’t too off putting.

    The food wasn’t good at all my ham in the burger was still raw and we waited too long for our food. Even the patty in the burger tasted like one in a McDonald. The service wasn’t good either.

    I was disappointed with this restaurant. I had enquired about dishes being gluten free and I was handed just an ordinary menu with no allergens. I ordered a ceaser salad with no croutons as it seemed the safest option. This arrived as just lettuce, cheese and a dressing. For the price you pay it’s not worth it.

    Good quality and price reasonable . Nice atmosphere. Normally the service very good but on this occasion quite slow . The restaurant is embedded in a big hotel and if they have a big event waiters are withdrawn to help . But the manager reached out unprompted at the presentation of the bill and made a good price reduction to compensate . So net left happy and will go again

    Ordered garlic bread for first course but this was very dry with not even a hint of garlic. Tasted more like a dry biscuit. Mail courses were OK but nothing special. Given the competition from a number of excellent restaurants near by, the Florentine needs to raise its game.

    You can get better food in a pub. Staff untrained , they don’t know what they are doing. Very slow service, we got our food before our water and bottle of wine. Overpriced. Unorganised.

    The food I felt was quite disappointing we ordered two burgers some pasta and some fish fingers and chips. The fish fingers did not taste very nice and too much for a 2 year old. The pasta was nice. The burger was dry and the thick chips were too oily.

    We waited 45 minutes for food. We could see into the kitchen and it was clear that there was no rush! My son ordered fish fingers and chips. The fish fingers were dry and brittle. I got a chicken burger which was entirely flavourless. It was a long wait for very disappointing food.

    We booked this as it was featured on a Timeout article about the 'best places to eat near Waterloo'. Sadly I've no idea how it was on that list. It's a hotel restaurant so feels like an upmarket airport lounge. The menu is limited and really basic and incredibly overpriced. Service was fine.

    We had booked a table for 9pm when we arrived they did not appear to be ready for us, asked us to wait in the bar in which the service was extremely slow eventually we were seated around 40 minutes later. When the waiter arrived we ordered more drinks starters and main courses. The starters came after 10pm however the drinks and food never came despite us chasing this with the staff. Eventually at 11,15pm we gave up and told staff we were going- they ‘waived the bill’ for the few items that actually arrived. On the way out we could see the kitchen staff sat down eating and there was no one else in the restaurant obviously the order had been forgotten but the waiting staff could of told us this on any of the occasions when we questioned the wait instead of just ignoring it

    Service was good but all our food was really salty. Chips especially. Garlic bread was a ready made pizza base. Very expensive for us when we just had a couple of mixed starters. Pasta came with cheese on too when we didn’t ask for it.

    Booked a late meal after a long journey into London with a tired 5 year old, on arrival found that the restaurant was closed for refurbishment and had been closed for two weeks already. Who closes their restaurant and leaves the booking system open?!? We ended up finding a last minute table at Cotto's Italian round the corner - so glad we found a backup after being let down!
