Floret is a neighborhood restaurant helmed by award-winning Chef Joe Ogrodnek located on the ground floor of Sister City, a brand new hotel right on Bowery. With an inventive all-day menu exalting seasonal ingredients as its focus, Floret serves breakfast, lunch, weekend brunch and soon dinner. I was visiting New York and a friend had suggested this new restaurant (so original right?). Anyways, we made a reservation for a Friday night. Ambiance was excellent, it was dark but the perfect amount to see all of your surroundings and of course, your date. Everyone seemed like they were having a good time: groups, friends hanging at the bar and dates. Our waiter, completely forgot his name, but didn't forget his service. It was everything you want: real, curtious, and present but not too present. We split the DORADE (reccommended by the waiter) and loved it. A very flavorful fish with sauteed vegtableas that you and your parter pick at. Overall a fantastic experience! Looking forward to my next trip back and trying out the lunch menu.

We had dinner outside; it was lovely. Service was attentive but not intrusive. The food was exceptional: fried bread with whipped ricotta; zucchini ravioli; roasted chicken with blue cheese, cherries, and olives; chocolate mousse-like for dessert that had layers and was fabulous.

Floret is a gem! Everything about it was spectacular, the food, the service, the ambiance. The food was smart, well-considered and beautifully crafted! The wine list also phenomenally curated. It was a pleasant surprise and I will definitely be back!

Visited Floret for brunch. The food was tasty and original, the service was extremely friendly and helpful, and the quiet shaded yard was a nice escape from the noise and heat of the streets.

Food and drinks were delicious. Service was extremely friendly, but they're a new restaurant so are still working out some process kinks. Half the table got drinks before the other half, which arrived 20 minutes later. They didn't have the ability to open up a bottle of wine, so we had to ask for it 3 times.

The food was up to our expectations. Unfortunately the service was really disappointing. Nobody checked on us.
We waited for 15 minutes for our appetizers. Then we served the dorade for two. Nobody prepped it for us. It was served on a small plate. Luckily I knew how to cut a fish.
We then waited almost for 20 minutes before our table got cleaned.
I expected a lot from this restaurant and although the food was good the service was a disaster.
How can the manager have dinner at the bar while I am still waiting for my appetizer. How can a manager walk through his restaurant and doesn’t even stop by my table to check if everything is ok?
