We received vouchers for an afternoon tea for our 25 Wedding Anniversary. It was a wonderful experience and the staff were amazing. We wouldn't pay £35 each for the experience ourselves though, a bit pricey. It was, however, a wonderful gift and the service and food was first class.

This was a birthday gift so we didn’t know what to expect, we were absolutely delighted with the venue,
Atmosphere and the the service was top class with very friendly professional waitress/waiters.
We had afternoon tea and the food was delicious and delicate, the table setting and the beautiful china all added to the ambiance. Will certainly recommend this to friends

Visited late afternoon on 9th October. We were a little early and were offered seats to wait, then shown to our table. The space was warm, relaxing and not noisy. Sandwiches were OK (but who goes for them anyway!) The scones and fancies were really nice, well worth the anticipation :-)
We had a glass of Prosecco each - soft and dry, very pleasant. The tea selection offered a good spread of options- the Oriental Jewel brew was without milk was excellent.
Perhaps a little pricey, but in the context of Chatsworth not unreasonable. I would do this again, diet permitting!

We were glad to be offered the opportunity to sample Flying Childers. It’s a very pleasant place to meet friends. But the food, although nicely presented, was disappointing - the canapés in particular were mediocre. The best component was the scones. For the price, the experience can not be recommended. Sorry.

From start to finish this was the cherry on top of an idyllic day at Chatsworth. Couldn’t fault any part of my experience at the Flying Childers. Thank you for such wonderful afternoon.

I can’t fault it. A lovely welcome, reviewed the afternoon tea menu, no changes it looked great. When the food arrived it was well presented and tasted great. A nice mix of sandwiches and great selection of teas in a relaxed surrounding, respectful but not too formal. The cakes! Fabulous mix of favours. Chatsworth you can do afternoon tea. Just the right thing. We will be back soon.

I booked Flying Childers to celebrate a dear friend’s 60th birthday. She and her husband had flown over from New Zealand and on her wish list was a stately home and a cream tea. Chatsworth provided both so beautifully. We had a wonderful visit which none of us will ever forget. the house was awe droppingly amazing. The gardens so fitting to the setting. The cream tea was elegant, delicious and served with fantastic relaxed warmth and humour by the wonderful ladies. It was a very special occasion and Chatsworth delivered in every way. Thank you.

We were celebrating multiple birthdays and it was such a lovely experience. It was made even better by the fact that the dress code was casual , meaning you could be as dressy or casual as you liked without feeling out of place. Such a lovely experience I have booked it for my parents.

Afternoon tea was brought as a gift. We hadn't thought about going to Chatsworth before for afternoon tea. Superb setting. Service excellent. Minor criticism the cheese scone seem to lack a cheese taste.

A great place and lovely food but you both need a sweet tooth as you do get a lot of beautiful little cakes to try and only a few sandwiches for the savoury tooth! Service is impeccable in a lovely little place which looks like part of the old stables. Would highly recommend.

This was a lovely gift but pricey for what it was. Would not pay this price for self. It would need to be very special reason to pay this price as gift for others. Great experience for the right person.

The cost of the afternoon tea is unbelievably high when considering what is provided. The starter was minute and nothing special and the remainder was even worse. The only thing worth any praise was the service. We will not be going again.

I thought butter would be served with the savoury scone. No refills of tea were offered.

We were bought this afternoon tea as a present for a special anniversary and where really looking forward to it. We visit chatsworth often but never had afternoon tea. We are baseing the tea on others that we have had at various locations.
It was just generally disappointing the sandwiches some were dry and I asked for any jam but strawberry but told that was all there was come on chatsworth you sell numerous jams. On the plus side the cakes were good but too many everyone taking them home. Other than top London hotels yours must be one of the most expensive and I have had a few at some lovely places.
Very disappointed .

The service and food were exceptional. We were seated next to the music speaker, however, and it was a bit loud for my mum. More drinks would have been nice. We had 2 small coffees each. Not sure if this is the limit?

For that special occasion or celebration I would recommend an afternoon tea at Flying Childers Restaurant. The staff were very attentive and professional without being over the top and the ambience is good. I think it is good value for money compared to other venues as the quality and variety of the sandwiches and cakes are excellent.

The experience was great, Jessica? our main waitress was so very pleasant, greeted us with a smile and a 'how are you'. Sorry I didn't get the names of the other staff but all very pleasant and made it an afternoon to remember. Not being a cake lover we were able to bring our 'leftovers' home so happy with that. An enjoyable birthday treat. Lovely to see Chatsworth House so busy.
