Need a bigger location. Everyone was too close to one another. People walking and squeezing through the tables. I want be back to this location. The set up for the salad bar for the hot food wasn't appealing. Upon arrival the hostess (female) wanted to sit me and my husband for his birthday at the bar area because there was no where to sit us after making reservations for his birthday. I told her No. She said we would have to wait a couple minutes. Then a couple who came in 10 mins after me she sat them before me at a table ready. Disappointed

I recently visited **Fogo de Chão at National Harbor** on **September 7th, 2024**, to celebrate my cousin's birthday, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, we were treated to exceptional service, particularly by **Joseph Anthony Israel**, who went above and beyond to ensure our evening was perfect. His attention to detail, warmth, and professionalism truly elevated our dining experience. The food, as always, was phenomenal. The selection of meats was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor, and the sides and salads were fresh and delicious. Each course was served with impeccable timing, and Joseph made sure our table was always well-attended, ensuring we had everything we needed to enjoy the evening to the fullest. If you're looking for top-notch service and outstanding food, **Fogo de Chão at National Harbor** is the place to go, especially if you’re lucky enough to have Joseph Anthony Israel take care of you. I can't recommend it enough for special occasions or simply a great night out!

Our server was a young female who complained that she had too many tables- when we asked for an item she slammed it on the table and left. We didn’t see her for most of the service and she came at the end. The meat wasn’t really coming to our table- we had to ask twice and the pork items kept coming though we let two servers know that we do not consume pork. In the end, they came (1.5 hour later- when we were done eating mainly salad) asking what meat we would like but we were full. The value wasn’t worth it though the harbor views were pretty.

I dine here before and I must say my previous experience was way better than today. As soon as were seated we waited about 5 minute to be greeted then we placed our drink order it too about 20 minutes for 2 of our drinks to come and another 10 for my lemonade to come, we were not told until we ask why we did not get plantain that they were out and we have to ask for the bread, the meat was slow to come around the table, the manager came to another table since they weee complaining as well that their drink order took forever after that she visited the table around us but skipped me my family, she was rude for a manager coz earlier at the salad bar she Bumped into me and never said excuse me, the only saving grace of this visit was the male manager that came to our table to ask what kind of meat we were waiting for and the next server we had, thanks to Diego that’s his name coz I made sure to ask this visit salvage he was more attentive and more friendly than the rest of the staff. Because he was friendly and know what great service is I didn’t give 1 star, I think if he was the server from the beginning I would have given service 5. If the female manager is a service manager I get why the service is poor. The food quality were great , the price is what we expected. ans

We were highly disappointed. This was our second time dining here and the experience was consistent. The service is extremely slow and and the serving staff is very inattentive. We had to wait over 15 min for items to be replenished at the buffet area and had to wait long times for meat to be brought around. When the meat was finally brought around it was overcooked and dry. We’ve experienced Brazilian Steakhouses in other cities and the experience was much better. The view of the water is pretty but that’s about it. The energy was so slow in the restaurant - everyone was moving in slow motion and with no urgency. Service staff looked lost. The music that was playing was so low energy. The entire experience felt like we were trapped in slow motion. Awful experience to say the least.

I’ve done the Fogo de chao experience many times and have always enjoyed! This location in particular I tried to give a shot a couple of times now but all that to say, I won’t be back. The food was subpar, the Gaucho’s barely showed the section we sat in any attention (within the first 30 min of being seated we saw only 2 gauchos). The salad bar is always creative but nothing stands out. The rice and beans are room temperature at best. For the increased price to now be $63.50 I’ll take my self to Texas de Brazil or to another Fogo location because this wasn’t it! Our server Slade was extremely nice and did what he could, but for a dining experience in the heart of one of the nations prime areas, this native won’t be a patron any longer, it’s just not worth it!

(Kudos to Stephanie, another server - unassigned to us - who gave my niece fries)! I was looking forward to a wonderful dinner experience but I was highly disappointed. Firstly, the seater barely communicated with us. All he did was put the menus on the table and told us to sit. Secondly, the server we had (Isael), did not take the time to explain anything to us. He walked up to us after we had barely sat down then proceeds to ask, in a very informal way, “you guys want the full experience, right?” There was no explanation of the menu or the different experiences available to us. He only offered the most expensive one and being that we had no idea that there were options, we said yes we want the meats. I thought full experience meant not ordering from the menu and having the meats go round. Also, I only learned of his name after I asked him. I ordered a drink and it took a LONG time. I was informed that the bartender was backed up AFTER I inquired about the drink. This was after about 10 minutes of waiting. It was Tuesday evening and nothing suggested that the bar was busy. It was after I returned the menu more than halfway through dinner that I realized there were two options - a $39 experience and a $63.50 experience. Our waiter never explained that to us in the beginning so we were stuck with paying for the $63.50 experience. When the manager, Phumza, came over I explained to her what happened and she refused to understand/acknowledge that we were essentially forced to pay the higher price for the experience. She was cold/unpleasant. Now the food - each meat was very salty. Secondly, the meat runners did not bring all the meats around to us even when we had the green cards showing. I had to ask for a few things before our table got some cuts. Isael never checked in on us to make sure we needed anything. We had to look for him/ask to get a refill of water and of the cheese bread. For a birthday dinner this was extremely disappointing and I will NOT be back.

We made a reservation for 10, but one person had to back out. We were told we could not be seated until at least 6 of our party arrived - no proble. When they arrived, we were seated. Table had great view, but we were seated near an air conditioner. I appreciated that the A/C was working; I've heard very bad things from people who had visited recently when the A/C was not working. Market Table was great and had more selections than I was expecting, including the soups. I did have an issue with the occasional fly landing on some of the cheeses, but I attested that to the location of the Market Table near the entrance. The main issue I had was the Churrasco Experience service. The food was EXCELLENT - when we were served. Not sure if the servers were very busy, certain Churrasco Experience entrees were limited/unavailable or if the placement of our table made us susceptible to being ignored, but we kept having to ask for certain items to be brought to us. One time, 3-4 requests for filet mignon went unanswered. My personal favorites - the bacon wrapped chicken, the filet mignon, the Parmesan pork, and the sausage. I am happy that the restaurant not only accommodated us celebrating a birthday for my 16 year old daughter, and they even allowed us to bring in a homemade cake and serve it on their plates. All in all, a great experience.
