Food was good, service crap!
Good but desserts not great
Croque monsieur felt like pretty poor value for money, don't mind the price but it was like like the size of an iphone with the crust cut off. Don't mean to come across as cheap but the bread basket for 1/3 of the price was waayy more generous. Niceoise salad looked good but nothing to write home about. Great terrace otherwise and nice staff.
It was a bad experience, would not recommend it to friends. The service was very slow and the food was not very good.
The staff were very welcoming and their knowledge of wine was excellent. There didn’t appear to be a lot of organisation so we were looked after by multiple people throughout the meal but that added to the charm for us; it had a Franco-feel and I love that.
I was a little disappointed by my main meal. I ordered the Dover Sole, which at £48 was (I think) the most expensive main meal choice. It was one of the two Fish of The Day so did not appear on the menu, as such I have no complaints about the price, in principle. However, it came with no sides and by the time it was de-boned (I will learn the craft myself one day!), it was cold. Upon reflection, £48 for a small piece of cold fish without any sides is a touch unreasonable. My wife ordered the steak and was not given the option of how it was to be cooked. This may have been because Chef makes the decision, which I have experienced at other restaurants. Again, no real complaints because if that was really going to be an issue, I’m sure the staff would have happily obliged our request for it to be cooked to a different level.
The choice of wines was vast (not a bad thing!) and, as mentioned earlier, the knowledge of the staff was excellent. I described my preference of wine by taste and not name, which was enough for the highly-knowledgable Waiter to suggest two perfect wines. I cannot praise the chap highly enough for this.
We had two excellent cocktails and I recommend the Old Fashioned. The flavours were perfectly distributed and balanced from start to finish; not always easy with this drink.
I was a little disappointed with my main but it will not be put me off giving the restaurant another go. Sometimes you get a vibe from a restaurant that it has a bit more to offer and this is one of them. A little disappointed? Yes. Put off entirely? No way.
Naturally, the inside of the restaurant was closed but walking through it I was blown away by the decor - it was so stylish.

We were 15 late for our booking- I called over and over again but no response. So we were made to wait 35 mins standing in the cold before another table which mean that we didn’t have time to finish our meal! There are no heaters outside except for 5 tables
You know it was fine, food was good but small portions and nothing special really. I do rate their Mocktails though, these were inventive and tasty (and expensive considering there's no alcohol in them).
Brilliant experience even considering the outdoor dining rules on a fairly chilly evening. Warm and welcoming service, excellent food from beginning to end and great cocktails. Will definitely be returning.

The food, cocktails and vibe were great. Unfortunately no social distancing whatsoever, all tables too close to each other so when it got full, we were about half a meter from other people on each side.
Folie is a great place to hang out and have an amazing meal with great cocktails. Unfortunately there wasn't a lot of social distancing going on so we left promptly
pretty safe and uninspiring menu which is a shame as the room itself was very attractive. They desperately need to sort out the music as well, what was playing for the hour we were there was incredibly gentle / generic lift music meaning everyone was whispering... not the kind of atmosphere that appeals, much more reminiscent of a hotel lobby

Great food and service, had the air conditioning dropping some water on us at one point but the staff went out of their way to fix it and make it up for us. Had a lovely evening and were well taken care of!

This is an unexpected find in Golden Square. The food is packed with flavour and if you're a non meat eater, there's a good selection of dishes to choose from. Staff are friendly and professional and even though it wasn't that busy when we went, the atmosphere is warm and invitingly stylish. I'd recommend!
Our party of four had a fantastic evening at Folie last Saturday.
Food was exceptional with very attentive service.
Couldn't have asked for more.

The food was tasty however the it was poorly presented. The atmosphere is amazing, I would rather go there for drinks with friends.
Unfortunately although we had an enjoyable catch up as a group of friends - it was quite difficult to hear each other as the music was very loud - we asked for the level to be reduced and were accommodated quickly - bit the downfall was that I personally had a violent stomach upset on the way home - you don’t need any more details than that - but it was very unpleasant so I cannot rate the food experience highly
We had a lovely dinner, sea bass with potatoes and seasonal vegetables to share were truly delicious ! Great service , welcoming staff and amazing cocktails... loved it all!!
Great venue with friendly a warm staff who gave great service from the moment we arrived. Be prepared for a higher service charge though, but worth it.
