Forage Farm Shop and Kitchen

Really great Christmas menu that was great value and really tasty. Service was second to none - so friendly and helpful. No pressure just relaxed friendly food. Only one negative was that is was cold in there with the sliding doors staying open - they should have lit the fire but I wonder whether that was a covid-safe decision. They did apologise so couldn’t ask for much more.

We ordered the gnocchi but were very underwhelmed... it was flavourful but the consistency of the gnocchi was not "pasta" like - more "mashed potato" like. Maybe the recipe needs to be adapted to be more solid - I'm not a chef but maybe more flour-like substance needs to be added to make it more formed?? The dessert was awesome and made up some what for the main course... The location and shop were excellent as was the waitress service. It was very humble and greatly received to have the main's reduced from our bill for our disappoint - thanks and for this we will return!! :)

Myself & a friend had an excellent brunch, served by a very friendly & helpful staff. Thoroughly enjoyed. We bought sausages in the farm shop after as they were delicious.

We ate from the Christmas menu and as always everything was excellent. We were spoilt for choice and everything is presented well and tastes delicious. We can’t wait until we visit again.

Visited today for Christmas lunch ..Must say it was absolutely beautiful . All the family throughly enjoyed .

Love coming to forage, staff always pleasant, good home cooked food. Lovely atmosphere too.

One of us had the 2 course option and the other had the 3 course option from their Festive Menu. The food itself and the presentation of all 3 courses was delicious! The ambience was lovely and the building itself, very appealing to look at, inside and out. Our only suggestion would be to request (if it's possible to), a table away from the main doors, as they opened and closed all the time with people going in and out, so it got a bit drafty. Would definitely recommend and would definitely revisit. The Farm Shop was FAB too.

Booked for Sunday Brunch through online app. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was great value for money and tasted amazing. Will definitely be returning.

i had three course Christmas lunch, as have had your menu on other occasions,{ have had breakfast wow delish as good as any fine hotel i have stayed in} also your ripped pork and beef burgers also amazing.
As it was Christmas and first day back open we decided on eating with you was disappointed that it was only that menu though..
Duck parfait was really tase but the french toast was awful couldn't bite it after spreading the duck on a nice toasted ciabatta or sourdough a little softer would have been just as nice. Turkey dinner well so so tasty must say and plenty of it .
Rurbarb and ginger panna cotta with ice cream was disappointed with it more like a melted ice cream texture tasted it but left it .wasnt asked why i had though which i was surprised at, thought was quite a lot of money and a lighter lunch menu would be nice as well as this one. but will be back to try something on the next menu . I thoroughly enjoyed the meal which arrived nice and hot, however the room was quite cold and I had to wear my coat over my shoulders the whole time, I asked if the fire was working but the waitress didn’t know

We love visiting Forage we know we can relax and thoroughly enjoy the whole experience, from the food through to the ambience and the staff could not be more helpful and friendly.

On the whole a good experience, fish and chips for 2 fish very good, chips not so. Will return.

First visit, will definitely be back! Food was lovely, service great and very Covid friendly.

Waited 30 mins for our drinks and the waitress didn't even apologise. Then waited over an hour for our food. We were told around 45mins after ordering that they didn't have the burger we initially we ordered, so we had to wait for the alternative to be cooked. Chefs were clearly rushed off their feet due to the overflow marquee they were letting people order food for. Shame they didn't prioritise the people who had booked a table in the restaurant. Profits over service.

We throughly enjoy our regular visits to Forage. The food is always excellent and the coffee is irresistible.

Everything was first class. Went there for breakfast and couldn't fault it. Enjoyed shopping in the shop afterwards. Would definitely recomend it.
