Foresters Bar & Restaurant
Located at Landal Darwin Forest the Foresters is open to both Park guests and the general public.
Pets are also welcome in the bar area.
The Foresters has a lovely alfresco dining area with a children's playground adjacent.
Was a lovely setting ,fantastic food would recommend , fantastic waitresses
We went for Father’s Day meal. The starters were good value for money. The roast lamb dinner was beautiful with plenty of vegetables, proper roast potatoes and very tasty gravy. Overall a very good experience and I would recommend it
The waitress nearly through my sons starter at him my husbands soup she spilt all over the place, I had the chicken tikka curry and I thought it was over facing with two poppadoms and two naan bread with rice and chips I did not enjoy, my daughter in law had the same and was over faced. Having said that my son had steak and he enjoyed. The kids enjoyed there meals
Used the restaurant whilst staying on site.
Excellent service and food.
The portion sizes are very generous and the food is very tasty.
Excellent food and the service was brilliant. Very friendly staff
IT was hard to differentiate between Bar and restaurant menus. We felt the food was of a "Good Pub Meal" standard and was probably what was required for the clientele. One suggestion would be to try to create a more homely/social atmosphere with more opportunity for customers to mix rather than just be in their own company in a semi- formal situation. We visited Foresters a few years previously and felt there was more of a "Pub" atmosphere then. This in no way downgraded the establishment but added to the friendliness of the atmosphere.
Hope this is constructive criticism as is not intended to be negative. Overall, we enjoyed our meals.
We arrived and got seated straight away how ever after 20 mins of sitting at the table another table arrived next to us with around 9 and got served by the waitress before us, we sat there for almost an hour before my husband went to the bar a second time and asked them about taking our order and then the girl from behind the bar came to us, the food was nice, garlic mushrooms lovely, prawn cocktail was a little bland and needed more sauce. Unfortunately because of the service and us have to rush our food to get back to the grandparents who were looking after our children. We did have a table for the whole family the night after but decided to cancel an eat at the lodge instead.
Definitely value for money as portions were large. However, the seats were wet from previous cleaning and it was only after we'd returned home that I realised I'd also paid for extra drinks not part of our table.
Fantastic meal cooked to perfection staff very friendly and helpful.
Had an amazing Sunday lunch at the Foresters. The beef with all the trimmings was delicious and the desserts were incredible.
Tasty food, big portions, friendly staff, had a fantastic weekend at Darwin Forest with friends and my partner. Came to the restaurant on the first night and would definitely recommend
Lovely hot food and well presented.. not the cheapest place to eat but steaks both nights were of good quality so no complaints there.
The only real negative was the bar lacks any atmosphere .
Great food, nice setting and really friendly, attentive staff. Good range of real ales on tap.
Starters and main meal excellent. Sweet Bakewell tart disappointing not as described in the menus. Staff very pleasant. Sat in conservatory ideal couples and adult company
Tasty meal, attentive staff, reasonable prices however I thought the choices were rather limited for both main meals and desserts.
Got looked after right from the start. Asked how food was . Asked if we were too warm etc . We got seated in the beautiful orangery. Food was delicious ..beautiful views of maintained grounds ..very pleasant afternoon . Will be visiting again x
