Lobster Ravioli in a Shellfish Bisque Sauce
Seafood Risotto with Shellfish and White Wine Sauce
Lamb Rump with Black Cabbage, Roast Sweet Potatoes and Onion Gravy
Lovely food, with the lobster ravioli absolutely delicious! Friendly and helpful staff and overall nice atmosphere. Good value for money
Service was amazing, food was deliecious. Will definitely come here again!
Lovely restaurant in the heart of Soho. Food, service and ambience all excellent and just the perfect place to meet friends over some good food.
Food was really good, atmosphere was good - could still hear conversations with a buzz in the restaurant going on. Would go back!
Linguine & seafood for me and rump of lamb for my friend followed by a shared pistachio tiramisu. We both had the Rioja which was excellent. 80 for 2 and a very nice evening. Considerate staff and seems to attract other friendly diners. Really good.
We had a lovely time at 40 Dean St for our anniversary. The service was exceptional and the food delicious. Really felt well cared-for and made our day feel special. A good option for a no-fuss Italian meal in the West End.
Fantastic food, and excellent service. Thank you. It was raining like crazy, but we had a great time!
Lovely. Would recommend
I go to Italy several times a year, have done for 30yrs as my husband is Italian. So I know what Italian food should taste like. The chilli sauce served with courgette flower and squid was not at all Italian, would have been better served in Thai restaurant. My squid was not very hot. The courgette part of flower was raw. The spaghetti with clams was one of the worst I’ve ever tasted. The pasta with meat Ragú was ok, although the sauce was gloppy. The wine was nice, as was atmosphere. The waiter was very over Baring. Food came fast. Would not return I’m afraid, not good food at all.
Food hit and miss. Food and my side came out stone cold so had to send it back. Would we go back again? Possibly but wouldn’t order any of the pasta dishes, probably pizza.
Long wait to be served
Amazing food, great wine, great value for money, would definitely recommend & return!
excellent service and atmosphere good food and good value for money
Great restaurant and food with friendly staff :) would recommend and definitely go back.
Excellent food, good size portions and very tasty. Worth a visit
40 Dean St offers excellent food and wine in a cosy setting. They also have additional outdoor seating which is excellent in these current times. The seafood linguine is freshly prepared and the best I have ever tasted. Thoroughly recommend for lovers of great Italian food and wine.
The food was truly good .... the service was helpful but with all that's happen it was more "out of practice" more than anything else. We didn't get the table we wanted but then it has rained outside etc ... the best is that the food was excellent good Italian home cooking ...
Very pleasant staff, so helpful when it rained, provided umbrellas and offered indoor tables. Food was delicious, great wine, and very reasonably priced.
Fantastic meal again! My favourite restaurant. The Lobster dishes are amazing.
The food was outstanding - wonderful wonderful flavours with the food but the service wasn’t on par as normal but they did bring out a great dessert with a candle for my friends birthday which was a lovely gesture. Would 100% go back again because of the food.
I visited for dinner on a busy Saturday evening! It was amazing, service was perfect, food was amazing!
Outstanding. Couldn’t have asked for a better introduction back out into normal life after lockdown. Superb
Lovely Italian restaurant in the heart of Soho.
Great food and wine with a lively buzz about the dining room.
Would highly recommend if you are looking for an authentic taste of Italy 5*
Our waitress was so rude! And pizza was terrible. Supermarket pizza’s better thab this!
The staff were AMAZING! Have my puppy food and water. Thank you.💞💞
We had a lovely birthday lunch for our dad. Booked this place specifically because it is dog friendly, and our puppy was well looked after! Delicious food and lovely service, would definitely recommend 👌🏼
Great restaurant on Dean Street. Lovely menu and wine list. Would highly recommend.
Food and service excellent
Nice waitresses, good service great food and good variety of drinks
Such a little gem will definitely come back next time we’re in London
Visited Forty Dean Street to celebrate an engagement. The food was delicious and brought to us very quickly. Great choice on the menu to suit everyone in your party. The service was great, with our server even giving us the option to order before a very large group so as not to wait too long for food. It couldn't have been more perfect!
There was an issue with two of our starters which were refunded plus no pizzas available, but the remaining food was really good
I experienced so many micro-aggressions in this restaurant I eventually experienced a panic attack and had to leave.
We arrived 5 minutes early and a table was ready for our booking. We were seated and water and bread placed on our table. This was at 20.15PM . by 20.40PM no one had come to take our order even for drinks. Other people had been seated after us and orders taken. A couple came in with a dog. I swear on my life, the dog was attended to before we got helped.
(This is not the restaurants fault) the couple next to us seemed uncomfortable as soon as we sat down. I was sharing a bench seat with the lady. The male told the lady to move her bag as if I was going to steal it, so she moved her handbag to the other side of the bench though my partners bag was right beside hers.
My partner eventually went to fetch someone to come take our order. The lady took our order and made a face as she walked away from our table. We were about to leave at 20.55PM and the drinks arrived.
There was no interaction from the waitress or sense of acknowledging we were only getting our drinks nearly 3 quarters of an hour after being seated. Soon after this point a table outside full of football fans started chanting and shouting , they had just arrived and already had been served with a table full of beer. At this point I felt completely overwhelmed and had a full blown panic attack and had to run outside and away from the restaurant. My partner cancelled the order and offered to pay for the unconsumed drinks but the manager told her not to pay.
WORST EVER EXPERIENCE . London 2021. I wont bother mentioning my race. Thank you 40 Dean street for ruining a special date, it was our anniversary, which ended with us having pizza out of a box in bed.
The service was a little erratic probably down to the fact that it was very busy, it was also disappointing to get a text message on the day to say that we could only have the table for 90 minutes.
The Restaurant is dog friendly which is ok. But when they stroke the dog then handel cocktails from the bar that’s not good
Staff were great, service was good. Drinks menu a little limited. Food menu fish/shellfish heavy on my opinion.
The starters were superb, goats cheese for my wife and squid for me.
Mains is where I struggled, I had a pizza & my wife had belly pork.
Food, ambience & staff good but in my opinion menu needed to be better.
Lovely eating experience
The food was good but the service was pretty poor and it was so noisy that we had to shout to hear each other. I wouldn’t go back.
Absolutely great way to book, excellent service and great food.
Amazing as always 👍
