I’ve always overlooked this little restaurant but needed a dog friendly establishment to go to for dinner in central London, and this seemed like one of the only options. Is was great! The service was exemplary. Food was good. I shall be coming back for sure.

We ordered a lot off the menu because everything sounded so nice and it didn’t disappoint. It was reasonably priced and the food was lovely. Service was also great. Its very small which when you’re as greedy as us meant we didn’t have much room for all our food but if you’re normal eaters then you’d be fine. I’d definitely go back.

A simple menu well prepared. The restaurant was very crowded and noisy and the music much too loud. The staff were civil and attentive but rushed. I would go again but perhaps not on a Friday night

Everything was great. I think to be honest a little over priced. I think if you were to bring you drink prices down you would sell more and make more money. The price of a G&T £8.50 is too to much. Make it better value for money.

I really enjoyed my evening at Forty Dean Street. It was a cute haven off of Dean Street with delicious and fresh Italian food, although rather pricey. The staff were attentive. My only two points of criticism were that there wasn't any music which would have added more ambience to the evening. Furthermore, I was freezing as the aircon was on and made me feel uncomfortable for the start of the meal but the staff quickly sorted this and was on as it was very hot before we were there. But overall, it was a lovely restaurant and I would go back.

We weren’t expecting the muscles for starter to be spicy but it was tasty. The pizza and penne main were nice but again the penne was almost too spicy to eat.. service was great, the waitresses were very polite and helpful and the restaurant ambience was nice. Overall, it was a good experience

Great place for my husband's birthday. Delicious selection of starters and very tasty pasta! We were able to bring our own birthday cake which they served. The best bit - they're dog friendly! Great to have such a quality restaurant which I can take my pup too.

The food was delicious! And the service fab, very attentive.
My only little niggle was being seated by the door and the draught coming through as it was constantly opened and closed but in the grand scheme of things.. just a minor issue.
The lobster ravioli in particular was so so yummy
Will definitely book again.

The food is very enjoyable and the service friendly and efficient. Whilst the restaurant makes it clear on its web site that, on a Saturday, there is a time limit of 90 minutes on a table for two, that's a bit tight for a truly relaxed meal. We were not unduly hassled by anyone in the restaurant for going a little over our allotted time and the whole experience was a good one; however, two hours might be better, from a customer point of view, than 90 minutes.

We went on a Friday evening at 730pm and we were sat right next to the bar and till... So close that everytime a member of staff came past the bumped into my boyfriend as they were rushing or were so close it made you feel uncomfortable. It was also exactly where people congugated at the bar waiting for a table... There is not enough space for this and we had to ask various people to step back from our table several times.

Due to all of this we didn't really enjoy the food as we spend the time uncomfortable with the crowd. If there was just 2 or 3 less tables it would make for a much more enjoyable experience.

We did share this feedback with the team after the meal to which they replied that it was a busy night...

The Ravioli was more expensive than the risoto, which is strange as it’s a much smaller portion. It was VERY good however. Would recommend.

Proper little Italian, really nice environment and the food was great. You are quite close to your fellow diners but didn't feel too bad at all. Will definitely go back again. My partner is vegetarian and there was plenty that she could have too.

Lovely little restaurant with friendly staff. Tables a little too close and family that sat next to us decided it was a good idea to take a lateral flow test at the table. Probably won’t return

Our waitress was warm, funny and helpful. The ambiance was cosy and inviting. The starters of squid and goats cheese/beetroot arancini were excellent. the mains of steak, salmon, pasta with lobster and pizzas were done very well and our party were extremely pleased. We finished with raspberry sorbet and a panacotta. Our overall experience was wonderful and we will make this restaurant a London tradition from now on.

Was very loud and raucous.
Big, unruly group made the evening very difficult.
Also tables tightly packed together. Waitresses were lovely and the food was fresh but have spend less in nicer more relaxing surrounding.
