Wonderful wonderful wonderful service, food, and ambiance.
Lovely for Mother’s Day. We sat outside. I did go I side for a minute and it seemed very busy in there!! We had: beignet, French toast, crab cakes Benedict a Pimms cup and a Bloody Mary — delish
The food was good but the server completely rushed us and offered to get us the check after 45 minutes. She was the low point of our meal but the food was great.
Great food and great service from Alison
We really enjoyed our outdoor dining experience at Founding Farmers DC. Our server was very professional and made wonderful entree and wine recommendations. All of the food was delicious. The outdoor set-up is well-spaced out and the heaters are very effective for cooler evenings. Overall we had a great evening!
Outdoor seating was chilly—space heater near us wasn’t working, and we were seated at a corner leaving us more exposed to the wind. But the food was overall very solid—ranging from good to excellent—so will definitely come back when the weather warms up or indoor seating is more viable. Dessert was especially delicious.
Great food, good atmosphere. I reserved online so didn't have to wait. I recommend online reservations at this restaurant.
Excellent experience all around! We were seated precisely when we arrived and we’re greeted promptly by our server. He was ready to offer suggestions and take our drink orders. From there the meal only got better. Expertly prepared cocktails and wonderful dishes were enjoyed by all of us. Highly recommend having a real at founding fathers!
Poor service, food was not as well made as it always used to be, server was so rude. I used to go there every few weeks—I will never go back.
Best happy hour deals around! Friendly service. Great food and drinks.
Great food! Highly recommend the corn bread. Freshly baked and made out of fresh corns
After the waitress had been aggressive our whole meal, and at the end she made a comment about how quickly and how much of my serving I had eaten. I would hope that someone who works in the food industry would understand that not everyone has a simple relationship with food, and that these types of comments really hurt. I have been coming to FF for 6 years and am disappointed I had an experience like this one.
If you go here, make sure you get the prosciutto and Brie breads. They are an amazing appetizer and so delicious. I got the chicken pot pie and it was huge. The puff pastry was so crunchy and delicious.
Awesome foods, ambiance and service!! Will definitely be back!
Good food however the desserts were a bit over baked. The service was friendly and patient. The short rib was deliciously sweet but worth trying.
I was very disappointed in my meal and experience. Having dined at several restaurants in the “Farmers” portfolio, I expected fresh flavorful food in a great atmosphere. To begin with, our wait outside was shocking. Patrons were smoking marijuana within 10 feet of the front door. The wait was not long, and our server was friendly and attentive. I ordered the Crab Louie and Fried Green Tomatoes. My daughter ordered the Chicken Pot Pie. The tomatoes were not green tomatoes- they were red and tough. Definitely not as expected. The crab and pot pie were flavorless. Our bill was over $100 - very high for exceedingly bland food.
Nice outing with spouse.
We sat outside. Staff was pleasant. They do need a better system of calling people when a table is ready. Food was amazing! Drinks were tasty and well crafted.
Food was fresh, servers were so friendly, and a great vibe. We sat outside under the tent. Really great overall experience.
Went for a bachelorette party brunch. They took a very long time to seat us and once they did the service was slow. When we did receive our food it was amazing. Worth the wait, but we were on a time crunch and ended up spending hours at brunch because of the wait
Waiter was slow and didn’t bring latte out until after the food had been out for over 10 minutes. Otherwise the food was very good and they were very accommodating given half the party showed up late.
We ate "outside" it was a beautiful night, our server was great!
The food was great and the prices were amazing for dc area. The service not so good.
Service we efficient and fast. Food was great
Food was good, ambience was nice. The customer service left much to be desired. Everyone I engaged with at the restaurant seemed to need customer service training, both over the phone and in person. But the food and ambience were great,
The food was amazing, we had to wait a little bit but it was well worth it.
Consistently really nice! Good drinks, great food, affordable. Can’t go wrong
Not a good experience! It was not the restaurant’s fault that it was too cold to be eating outdoors but it could have been dealt with better. First, I like a hot cup of coffee with breakfast. The restaurant decided to keep coffee cups outdoors, so pouring hot coffee into the cups resulted in cold coffee. When the server was notified, he added hot coffee to our cups! Minimal improvement.
I ordered a crab cake Benedict, no Hollandaise. It came well done. I specified that I like my eggs runny. The server agreed to have it remade. By the time it arrived, cooked properly, my friends were done eating and it was covered with Hollandaise.
Meanwhile the server was trying to be attentive but spent half of his time replacing propane tanks in the heaters and not serving his tables. Probably the fault of management more than the server.
The food was very good as usual. Need more gluten-free options.
We sat outside on the open sidewalk, so there was street noise.
Great delicious food and service. You can't go wrong
Wonderful to be sitting outside. Server was excellent. Food was very good.
Friendly staff in a wonderful atmosphere. Food that is familiar yet with a unique twist. A must try for those in DC
Loved the hospitality of both the host and server. Server was very attentive! Food was delicious and restaurant was very clean.
The food was cold and not seasoned at all. The presentation was awful. The best part of my visit was the excellent service and hospitality form our waitress. Never will I visit or recommend this restaurant again.
Hi May: I am so so sorry the meal ordered for your Birthday dinner was not up to par. :( I feel terrible for the disappointment this caused and really apologize you never want to return based on this experience. That said, I'd love to turn this around and ask you to please email me: Amy@FRG.Farm with a copy of your review, date dined and location. Thank you so much and I hope to be in touch soon! -Amy
My must-visit restaurant when I’m in the DC area! Food is absolutely delicious.
The meal was great and so was our server. Our meals were amazing but we were full off the appetizers. Great place to get a load of appetizers and share with friends.
We celebrated my brother’s birthday. Very nice
The server was the true star during our visit. She was extremely knowledgeable, pleasant and attentive.
