Great place, awesome food.
We were a group of 6 people and we had a great time with good food and great company
My husband and I went for Sunday Brunch and were disappointed in the service and quality of the food. The staff overall were not very friendly or helpful and the pastries are now brought to your table at the end of the meal on a platter. We were not asked if there was a specific pastry we wanted and were underwhelmed at what we were given. We have been to the Tysons location Sunday Brunch previously and would definitely travel the few extra miles to go back there next time.
Hi Angela: Thank you for your review and I am real sorry the buffet brunch service & selection was not up to par at this location. :( We greatly appreciate you bringing this to our attention and I would love to follow up with you about your feedback. This said, I will send you a DM with my email address to hopefully continue this conversation. -Amy
Enjoyed our brunch! Will definitely be back to visit in the near future.
Always a great dining experience with the family. Everyone does a great job with social distancing. Food was incredible, as usual. We normally book the 9:30am slot for brunch and it was quite empty. Staff are always so friendly, helpful and efficient.
By far the worst restaurant I've spent money on in the DC metro. The food was THE WORST. If I had to describe the food I would say it's as if all they have in the kitchen is a microwave...no chefs....just a microwave....they warm up the food to lukewarm and then serve that bland tasting stuff to you on an overly priced platter. The service was good but do yourself a favor. Do not waste your hard earned money on this restaurant...I repeat do not!
At first they sat us by the door and it was freezing. They moved us but it was still cold. Unfortunately, I think because it is a big warehouse building they just couldn't keep it heated. The good thing was the food was hot and the service was excellent!!!
Great environment. Wonderful food and awesome selection of beverages. Highly recommend to all.
Our hot chocolate and latte were cold upon arrival to the table as well as our brunch. However, the service was excellent and everything was remade and nothing went to waste. Not a great first experience but the customer service was out of this world! Specials thanks to Rachel the manager and Rachel the server.
Great food and great service. Five stars all around!!
Great food, service and ambiance. Glad they got their mojo back!
I was seated right away. The server was very attentive to our needs.
FANTASTIC!
Service was painfully slow—- seemed like we were forgotten about
We went to celebrate our daughters birthday, disappointed that nothing was done or mentioned. I ordered multi grain toast, was served white bread. Other than that, everything was good.
Not sure what impact COVID is having on the dining experience, but it was not busy yet service was slow and food wasn't that good.
Hi Mark: I am very sorry to read that your recent experience failed to deliver by all counts. :( I would love to follow up about your review and hopefully turn around the disappointment you left with. I will send you a DM with my email address and hope to connect soon! -Amy
Servers were polite, attentive, and very helpful. Food was delicious.
The experience was Ok. We dined outside and weather was cold with a breeze. It took several requests before our heat lamp was turned on. We didn’t receive one of our orders until we were about to pay and leave. This was our first time at the Reston location. All of our previous visits were to Tyson. We know that COVID is presenting some unique challenges and restaurants are doing all they can. The experience wasn’t what we were expecting.
Drinks from bar very slow and not delivered to the table together. Tuna appetizer was delicious. Main course very average. Server was kind but over-sat. Underwhelming experience.
Celebrated our 21 year old's birthday here and everything was great! Drinks were delicious and food was good. Service was much better than the first time we tried this location.
We have had the privilege to have visited Founding Farmers' restaurants in DC and Tysons Corner, and have now been able to see the consistency of the brand. There was no issue getting reservation at the time I desired. The associates were very professional and accommodating. The unique thing, as with all Farmers is the menu. We like the brunch, all-you-can-eat style, arrangement. Although you may think that there will be a tremendous amount of food teeming from your plate, you would be wrong. Things are right sized portioned and you can eat as much as you like. The cost is $27.99 ➕ tax and your drink is a seperate cost also. A couple can dine at the Farmers brunch buffet for $77.00.
The staff was wonderful, the good was wonderful, and we had a great experience.
Thank you, Najeba for sharing this with our team! We greatly appreciate it and hope to have you back again soon! :) -Amy
I had very high expectations as the reviews were really good and I’ve heard great things about FF. I, personally, wasn’t impressed. Now, parking was amazing. The square where the restaurant is located was great. The greeters were so very friendly. The managers walked by and ensured we were satisfied. So, for a first time FF visit, they get two thumbs up from me. Now, for the food...well, I’m a bananas foster (waffle or French toast) kind of girl. If it’s on the menu, I’m ordering it. I wasn’t impressed. It didn’t have many bananas, no whip cream, no powder sugar just really not a true bananas foster. It was disappointing. The bacon was hard and cold. The Parmesan grits threw me off. I love southern cheese grits and wasn’t expecting Polenta. I never thought I’d have to ask, what kind of grits are they? I was wrong and I’ll pass on those. Definitely not my cup of tea! Oh, but the tea presentation was EXCELLENT! Overall, I’d try them again for lunch or dinner but think I’ll pass on breakfast.
Oh my goodness perfect breakfast on a Saturday morning. Ingredients perfect. Loved the drinks too
Service excellent
Food was not good
Great dinner out! Server was patient while we were waiting for our last guest to arrive. We enjoyed appetizers while waiting. The pimento biscuits are the bomb, as are the deviled eggs. Entrees were great! We shared a piece of banana foster cheesecake. Everything was delicious!
Excellent food and a great atmosphere for dining....wish they hadn’t run out of the prime rib before I ordered
The Sunday brunch buffet was excellent and provided the opportunity to try a vast array of different items on the menu.
Nina was fantastic. She handled our table with a style and grace to be admired. So comforting to see familiar faces return. The kindness and positivity they display, is one of the many reasons why I keep coming back
The buffet was sparse and not restocked quickly. The French toast was over fried all the way through leaving no “bread” inside. And it was oddly spicy.
It was just a really weak buffet the price. And no made to order items from the menu were available which meant 2 members of our party really didn’t eat. As they were not comfortable with going to the buffet during this pandemic.
Sadly, we even ordered 2 dessert tray samplers and they weren’t worth eating. Pastries were dry and lacked flavor or anything exciting. You know it’s bad when for young people in our party (18-25 years) left dessert uneaten. We will not return.
We really appreciate the customer service of the restaurant manager: it took more than 1 hour for our foods to be served at the table but the manager quickly took care of it and even he waived the charge for the foods. We tried to find him when we were ready to leave to thank him but could not find him. He is awesome and I would recommend the owner of the restaurant to recognize the manager’s skill and to reward him.
Excellent food and service! They handled the new world of covid restrictions well and made my family feel comfortable and at ease. We will be back very soon!
Thank you so much! We really appreciate you sharing this with our team and hope to have you & your family back again soon! :) -Amy
Amazing food and great service. Best quality and value.
The food at this location isn't as good IMHO as the Tysons location, but we love the location and design/ambience. Breading for fried green tomatoes is too heavy and you can't taste the tomatoes. Enchiladas didn't have much flavor. They are doing a good job though with cleaning and spacing and we felt very safe. Server was great!
The turkey fettuccine was very spicy, but the cheesecake was good. The service was a bit slow, we had a hard time getting our servers attention.
New year’s eve
We made reservations for NYE dinner. Our server was beyond swamped. It took 20 minutes for our server to come to our table for a drink order. Food took forever but the restaurant was inundated with delivery orders. Our food finally came and it wasn’t even edible. 4/5 of us had to return back our plates. They were so busy that reordering wasn’t an option. The manager said dessert on them so we took the offer. Another disappointment. Their cheesecake tasted like it had been sitting out for a few hours. Again, not edible. This is the second time in a row in the past couple visits where it’s been unsuccessful. I don’t think the establishment has a strong grasp on their operations with this pandemic. Some places have figured it out but this location has not. Big shame because I’ll never return.
Took a while to be greeted once we were seated. Our server was pleasant enough but not particularly personable or accommodating. Was also a bit surprised that there wasn't more of a festive vibe in the air with it being NYE. On the contrary, there was no special feeling in the air whatsoever. We were prepared for the restaurant to be busy, but it didn't appear particularly so. We had to wait quite a while in between his return visits to our table. At one point we were left idle for so long that another server came to check on us because she sensed we needed attention. She ended up fetching our drinks from the bar and taking our food order. She was a lot friendlier than our first server, but was not very knowledgeable and actually suggested that I would want my salmon well done, which I thought was odd. Once our order went in the food came out quickly...and was delicious and 100% correct, so the kitchen was on point. Will return again because I have had much more enjoyable experiences dining here in the past, but was not overly impressed on this visit.
Thanks Kimberly for sharing your review with our team, and I am real sorry our service during your experience failed to deliver. :( I would love the chance to follow up with you and hopefully turn around the disappointment you took home with you. I will send you a DM with my email address. -Amy
We were really impressed upon arrival by just how beautiful the space was. The wings were amazing--great sauce and no ranch needed. The fried green tomatoes were okay--the goat cheese (?) that accompanied help with what was missing regarding the seasoning of the tomatoes. The VA rose was delicious and paired well with the tuna poke. The beer can chicken jumbayla was interesting--unexpected, for sure!
Off Day!
We made a reservation for breakfast and arrived to an almost empty restaurant. The hostess seated us promptly and it was downhill from there.
The coffee was weak and cold. The server was nowhere to be found. The hostess came back and brought fresh hot coffee.
I ordered chicken and waffles which comes with scrambled eggs. My waffle was cold and didn’t come with butter. It took forever to get someone’s attention to let them know. They put in an order for a new waffle but it took so long to arrive that my chicken and eggs were cold. My husband ordered the Founding Farmers Breakfast with English muffins and cheesy grits. The English muffin was cold and the butter was frozen. The grits were terrible - hard and lumpy.
We had a similar breakfast at the Tysons location and it was great. So, maybe Reston was having a bad day.
Oh no! I am very sorry to read this and feel terrible for the "off" experience you & your husband had with us. :( I would love the chance to touch base about your feedback and hopefully turn this around! I will send you a DM with my email address to hopefully continue this conversation. -Amy
Very slow service. Server disappeared and another finally came to help to place order. Unusually long time for meal to arrive. Must have been short staffed this day. Fried chicken entree disappointing. Turkey dinner very good. Still one of our go to restaurants despite this sub-par experience.
Hi Lynn: I am super sorry the service was MIA, slow-paced and felt short-handed. :( I am also sorry the Fried Chicken entree missed the mark, and would love to touch base & do my best to make this right! That said, I will send you a DM with my contact info. Thank you and I look forward to being in touch. -Amy
