Founding Farmers Tysons is a farmer owned restaurant that offers fresh food and drink with an emphasis and focus on cooking from scratch with ingredients sourced from near and far, from sources we trust, in a modern farmhouse setting. The bar is not to be missed, offering delicious scratch sodas, craft cocktails, and an all Virginia draught beer list; we'll have just the thing to quench your thirst. Approximately 30% of the menu includes items inspired by the culinary traditions of Virginia in a modern way. Weekend brunch at Founding Farmers Tysons is BUFFET style, with a wide array of breakfast, lunch, salad, entree, and dessert options. The restaurant is upscale casual, which welcomes business casual dress, and dress that would be appropriate in a nice restaurant; this includes jeans and athletic wear, and warm-weather clothing, including shorts.

Good food at a reasonable price. Good mixed drinks and a decent beer selection. The service is sometimes a touch slow, but not enough to ruin the experience.

We found ourselves at the brunch buffet on Monday (Columbus Day) and it was very expensive for what was there. To me, it was not worth paying the $33 per person for a scoop of scrambled eggs and two French Toast sticks. It was a bit of a surprise. If I didn't have out of town guest with me, we would have gone elsewhere. If this brunch buffet is an every day thing, it should be noted on your Open Table page.

Things have changed a little and most of the changes affect what I liked from your grand opening day . We come a lot to eat here . 1.you changed the toppings for the meat station , no more honey glaze for the fish . No more chimmey sauce for the beef . The fish is now in a cast iron pan getting hard . Mac and cheese don’t have that baked look or taste anymore . A couple more things but that ok . I’m sure I’ll be back just not 2/3 times a month lol .

I love this restaurant but they have consistent seating problems on sat nights. Seated at least 15 minutes late and it made for a late meal. Hunger got killed by Delay as we ate at the bar. Figure out your sat night operations.

The food was pretty good, but perhaps because it was a buffet, there were a few items that weren't fresh. Overall there was a large selection with a variety of options.

Food was not good. Ordered the pot roast, it was very tough. Honestly I’ve had better at Cracker Barrel! The waiter was good but the hosts (a male and female) extremely rude.

I had reserved a table for 4 & we were seated at the bar / probably the loudest area of the restaurant! Our waiter was new & didn’t ask if we had been to the restaurant before. When asked about the wine selections he couldn’t answer without going back to someone to ask. He wasn’t very well versed on the menu either. I have been to this restaurant several times, but this was the worst experience.

Our initial seating for an 8:30 reservation was in an undesirable part of the fishing room despite several better positioned tables. When asked were gladly moved however. The chicken wing appetizer came out extremely overdone to the point of being charred beyond being edible. It surprised me the server brought them out. When I pointed it out he quickly replaced them. The impossible burger was bone dry and overdone. The server seemed to notice we weren’t thrilled with the experience but by then it was too late. I’ve dined at Founding Fathers before and this was out of character. Hopefully things get sorted out moving forward.

I was disappointed because my chicken noodle soup did not have any chick in it at all. The mgr did come by to apologize but that was it. My server was really kind and so apologetic. The bathrooms are being renovated so my elderly friend had to walk outside the facility and up to the 2nd level to go to the restroom. She said she wont come back till thats resolved.

Founding Farmers Tysons is a restaurant that I recommend. The food and drinks were delicious and the ambiance was perfect. My husband and I enjoyed our dinner. However, the main reason I gave it a 4-star review is because of service. The service was good but was lacking in some areas. My main issue with service was the lack of attention for our table. The server had a great attitude and provided feedback when asked, but we had to wait an inordinate amount of time to order, first our drinks and then our meal. By comparison a table next to us was seated after us, but received service before us. In fact, they finished eating before our food came out. The server seemed to know one of guests which, I'm sure helped facilitate the experience for them. However, it left us feeling ignored.
With that said, I would return to the Tysons location of Founding Farmers, and I wouldn't mind being served again by the same gentleman in hopes that we caught him on an off day because the rest of our experience was very good.

Overall food and atmosphere is excellent. However the experience is horrible when waiting for the table. We had a reservation for 1:15pm and we didn’t get seated until 1:35pm after. We even got there early at 1pm to checked in so that didn’t help. Restaurant need to take a look at their reservation process

We waited 25 min past our reservation time. We hardly got any service. For example, it took another 25 min just to get an iced tea. If you’re going to charge more than $30/person for brunch, I’d expect the service to be comparable to that price point. Wish we could have went somewhere else for brunch

Brunch at Founding Farmers is usually one of my favorite things to do. I was very disappointed in my experience today. Each time we went to the buffet a lot of the serving dishes were empty. I felt like we did more standing around waiting to see if they would refill the dishes than actually eating and enjoying our friends.
Our waiter was amazing though.

This was my second time dining at Founding Farmers brunch. The first time was for my sister's birthday and the last time was for my birthday. Both experience were quite nice and I did enjoy myself. The only thing that I could change was my waiters behavior when it was time to pay the bill. Right after the bill was placed on my table a good portion of my table went to the bathroom BUT not all. Our waiter came to our table at least 3-4 times while the majority of my table was at the bathroom. It offended me a little because it seemed as though he was worried that we would all run out and skip on the bill. After everyone came back the bill was paid and all was well. Just a lil bit of advice...give me and my family a lil bit of breathing of breathing room before your come back to our table 3-4 times and asking is everything alright. Why wouldn't it be? Oth

My best friend and I come here regularly for Sunday brunch and this was the first time we learned about special items on the menu not included in the buffet, and were asked if we needed parking validated. Perhaps these are new measures, but more likely, we just never had the pleasure of being served by Kaleb. What a wonderful young man. Very attentive and warm, going as far as to make sure we didn't miss any dessert before break down. FF is our favorite place to visit, but Kaleb was a fresh bit of icing on the cake.

A friend and I dined for brunch. It was our first brunch and we were quite impressed. There was a lot of variety and we appreciated having such a nice selection of food.

Not all of the food was great, specifically the Mac & cheese, but that didn’t sour our day.

I could not have had a better dining experience. We came in for brunch no realizing that they only serve the buffet. My father has a heart condition and is on a very strict low sodium diet. When we found out that we could not order a la carte, our hear dropped because we really wanted to try out founding farmers. Joe, our waiter could not have been nicer though. He found out what dishes my dad could eat on the buffet and keep checking back to see if my father was okay. Joe's service was amazing. Also amazing was the fried chicken, the eggs benedict, and the cherry compote. Highly recommend this place and if you go ask for Joe.

Servers was not that pleasant. My client was a first timer and he didn’t even do the Founding Farmers intro that is the usual for new customers. The Person that dropped off the food was very dismissive when I asked for extra butter for cornbread. This was the 6th time I’ve been here in 5 months. By far the worst experience. It was right at the beginning of lunch hour so it wasn’t that busy yet. I don’t write reviews often, but I will come back. Benefit of the doubt.

I ordered a salad, the same one I get every time - the Farmers salad with grilled shrimp and dressing on the side. When my order came it was cold, not grilled shrimp, and the salad was covered in dressing with some on the side as well. I did not complain and ate the salad, but the consistency in what I get each time I order the same salad the same way can be disappointing. I was just there last week and my salad came out the way that I ordered, but I cannot say it is consistent each time I come and in the past year have been there frequently.

Let me first say, I have rarely given a one star rating. I am pretty open and honest about my reviews.

Not Impressed. The staff at the front seemed very uninterested and more interested in talking to each other. I should of kept my 1:45 pm appointment at the Farm Fresh Bakery. We may not have had the best of waiters. He was also not very attentive, I guess if I was Caucasian and a woman he may have been more helpful. I understand it is a buffet but still.

I could have been addressed by my salutation as it does come first in my name. The layout for the food is very tight and the staff replenishing the food and the ones who help we’ve it all seemed like they hated being at work. I actually spoke to the manager I guess who was restocking the corn bread and she did not speak a word back and just looked at me strange.

Now let’s talk about the food. Did they forget that a little salt and pepper goes a long way. First, they did not have the as advertised spicy fried chicken and the fried chicken they had out seems like they just took it out the package added flour and dropped it in the grease. I am from the south, so please do not insult the Southern part of the country, there is nothing southern about this chicken. Bland and dry and no flavor. How can you make a chicken leg dry?

Do not ever eat the deviled egg here or the chicken sausage, please do not. The best part about this place so far are the desserts. They do not need to call this meat brisket, it is nowhere near being a palatable piece of meat. The shrimp and grits sauce was ok, but the grits were hard, I guess the Sadie was to soften it up.

The chili no flavor at all, straight from a can into a microwave. Everything looks very palatable, but it is definitely not.
