I’ve gone to founding farmers several times over the past 3/4 years and they have yet to improve the time it takes to seat people with reservations. Every single time I’ve gone, it takes them at least 15-20 min of us waiting before they seat us despite having a reservation. Today for my anniversary, it took them nearly 25 min to seat us! The waiter also didn’t get our drink that we ordered, which just added to the merely so-so experience.

We were expecting a bit more. I know everyone is doing their best at this time, but would like to have seen something that made me go Wow! But it was pleasant.

Founding Farmers disappoints again. I go here about once a year (often with a group that chooses the venue), and the last few times have been let downs. On this visit, I ordered a hamburger, medium. It was cooked well done, but it was also tepid (presumably sitting for a while after being cooked). The burger comes with a side, but my server never asked what I wanted (nor did it occur to me to tell him). I did tell my server I was on the Keto diet, so I requested my bun be on the side (so I could take it home for a my son to use for a sandwich). He brought me French fries, which I can't eat but I guess must be the default side for the burger; I would have ordered the side salad if asked. I mentioned this when the server delivered the food, but he didn't seem to concerned, and I didn't push it, so I kept the fries, which like the burger, were tepid. My wife also requested a substitution of the beans here dish came with, so the server offered her wilted spinach. It was really bland. I won't be back and I will encourage others in group dinners to pick another restaurant.

Excellent food and service. Maybe space heaters for outside dining and a little decoration.

What is the point of making a reservation if there is only 1 line to checkin that includes walk-in customers without reservations? Not a very efficient front desk operation. Also does not uphold the 6 feet apart requirement in the front foyer. Server was great, but not at all impressed or satisfied with the organizational aspects of checkin.

Buffet had servers that were not professional. Food was limited and yet it was supposed to be a buffet. Horrible experience. We should have gone with the a la carte menu.

Service was extremely slow even with only a few tables occupied due to Covid. Server took our appetizer to the wrong table. They then had to prepare a new appetizer for us. Entree was slow coming out. We got there around 3:15pm and finally left at about 5:30pm.

The cheeseburger was fantastic; the meat was perfectly cooked and the restaurant-made roll was excellent.

I will say outdoors and the groundskeepers from the adjacent building were mowing and trimming, so it was a bit noisy from that. Not the restaurant’s responsibility, just a feature of outdoor dining.

Nothing really special here by way of food . A bit disappointed as entrees from previous dining experience made me want to come back, but this trip...not so much. This restaurant may be best suited for a quick lunch at a fairly decent price.

Had a nice Saturday evening dinner outside at Founding Farmers-Tysons. The tables are spaced far apart. There is no roof and no heaters (at least yet) so it got breezy and a bit chilly but otherwise, everything was terrific.

Service on the slow side. Alcoholic drinks were small. Fried green tomatoes too breaded. My expensive halibut was over cooked. My friend said the beer can chicken wasn’t as good as elsewhere. Disappointed as I had heard good things about this restaurant.

It had been several years since I had breakfast/brunch at Founding Farmers, and never at Tyson's location. I was surprised to learn the only option was a buffet. The food stations were short-handed and by the time I returned to the table with my food everything was cold. I ordered coffee, which was served lukewarm. Halfway through breakfast, a plate of 4-5 desserts was served. Since I don't eat dessert I asked if I could have a "to go" box. I was told that was not an option. I certainly understand having no" to go" boxes for a buffet, but after placing the desserts on the table, I knew they could not be re-served, so in lieu of preparing them "to go" the restaurant would prefer to pitch them. If you love high fat, high sugar food and lots of it, you will love this place. Just be prepared to eat it at room temperature. (1-Breakfast Buffet + 1-Coffee = $40.14) This will be my last visit to Founding Farmers.

I am super sorry for the many disappointments with your brunch visit this time. :( I feel terrible the food stations were shorthanded, the food cold and the coffee lukewarm. I also totally get your point about the boxes when dessert was served, and will pass this along to our Management Team for their immediate consideration. This all said, I would love the chance to turn around your choice to never return, and will be sending you a follow up msg with my email address to connect further. -Amy

Top offer was the stuffed dates wrapped in bacon appetizer which were great. Should be more than 5.

Ordered fish, market price. The halibut was $35 and small and over cooked. Yuck.
Wife’s tuna ahi poke bowl was great.
Services was terrible and slow.
Martini’s were $14 and made in a glass the size of a thimble

Beautiful, sweet soul server. Food was great per usual. Only thing I wish is the donut to be warmed up but other than that, it was a great experience for me and my homegirl.

Disappointing.
They added 4% to the check as a COVID tax - PPE is a cost of doing business. Also under the guise of helping unemployed staff. I don’t like being told how to contribute.
Now the food. My lamb chops were well overcooked. The menu stated 4 chop rack, I got theee, a double and a single. When the new plate arrives, it was cooked prior, but again, not a rack, but 2 double chops.
No one came back until I was done, no additional apologies, no concessions.
I won’t return to this location.
By the way, I manage a top rated restaurant in Bethesda Maryland.

Mediocre food and waiter. Filthy patio, food stains, food, trash, and flies! Inside was filthy too. Floors needed vacuuming and scrubbing. The whole place was not sanitized for covid protection and then they charge $.76 pandemic surcharge. North Dakota farmers would be ashamed of the place. And more upsetting, I had given my children a gift certificate of $100 for their anniversary which they haven’t used yet, and will have to disclose this dump. Someone is not being held accountable. Will not recommend to anyone for their health sake.
