The Four Spoons has the best pad Thai ever. My friend and i have the pad Thai without looking at the menu. Week after week, it never grows boring.
The appetizers were good, but the chicken and fish were not cooked well. Overall ambiance and service were fine, but I would not go back.
We had eaten there a few times and invited friends who had NOT been before. They, like us, will return. The food is quite good and the atmosphere pleasant and unpretentious. The noise level is a distinct asset when dining with friends with whom you enjoy a conversation.
Four Spoons is exactly what I like best in a dining experience: atmospheric, welcoming, quiet, and intimate enough for ease of conversation. The menu is remarkably varied and each dish attractivly presented and delicious. The spicy Chilean Sea Bass and ribs in delicious sauce were excellent and the avocado-lettuce wrap
was the right appetizer to precede the meal.
I get Four Spoons delivered all the time and it was a treat recently to eat in the restaurant. Fresh, yummy food! Love it and have recommended it to friends
It took over 20 minutes to have the server come take out order. The food was bland even though we ordered it spicy. Service was not great overall.
Chicken wing appetizer may be the best wings I have ever had. Wonton bowl entree was loaded with fresh ingredients but the broth was a little bland.
The reason I didn't give more stars was that it was COLD in there. Not comfortable. There is a door that blows gales of freezing air each time it opens, which during dinner time is often. The restaurant should compensate by turning up the heat.
Casual Thai Restaurant conveniently located in Newton Center. The food is clean and terrific. The service is friendly.
This small restaurant in Newton Centre continues to surpass expectations. They take a creative approach to Thai food, offering daily specials, unusual twists on familiar dishes, and plenty of old favorites. We have never had a bad meal here, and the recent refurbishing has made the interior more cheery and pleasant. Anyone who is a bit bored with the offerings at typical Thai restaurants should make this a destination.
A true neighborhood gem!
Tasty food great service lovely presentation in a conversational setting
Very convenient to the subway in Newton Centre. We ordered pad Thai and drunken noodles. Both were good. We had a nice time.
Only problem was we had to wait 20 min for food packed to go
Nice family dinner. Wonderful food many delicious flavors.
Great Thai food (we enjoyed the teriyaki Salmon and Mango Fried Rice with shrimp) and service.
I had not been to the four spoons for a while, before going there this week for a dinner with my spouse. I thought the quality of the food was excellent (even better than when I was there prior) and especially enjoyed the special appetizer as well as the pad thai. The waitstaff were very attentive, but did not hover - a rare balance to pull off. The only negative was that someone was taking pictures of their food and drinks (I assume for their menu or an article) and thus there were distracting flashbulbs going off throughout most of the dinner. To their credit, they did take some off the bill to compensate for the annoying picture-taking. Although I would not have scheduled such pictures for the busiest part of the dinner hours, I did appreciate their attempts to "make it right."
The food was not tasty at all!
As always, this neighbor gem was friendly and helpful with the service, and the food was tasty and served promptly
Food was excellent as usual. Wonton soup, pork dumplings, spocy eggplant, and pad see ew. However, the seats and menus are getting worn and I hope they repair them before the restaurant looks old and broken.
Been dining here with family for years and years. Terrific cuisine and service! Highly recommend.
Great food. Great service. Neighborhood gem.
Reasonable food but don’t order the dumplings :)
Though we ordered some of the same items we have had before ( mango curry, spicy eggplant) our dinner was uninspired. Not flavorful enough and not as spicy as we would have liked. Wondering if they just had a different chef, but if we have the same experience again, we'll go down the street for Thai.
Four Spoons is one of out "go to" restaurants. We are never disappointed with the food or service. It is a local gem and a must try for Newton residents who enjoy Thai food.
Fabulous Waikiki martini and chive dumpling appetizer. Both unique/ all items delicious though!
I haven't been to Four Spoons in a while. The food was very fresh and well presented, but not very flavorful for a Thai restaurant. Maybe the clientele in Newton are not fans of spicy foods, but I find that hard to believe. The vegetables were cooked perfectly, but the sauces my husband and I had were very bland. It was a Friday evening and we were crowded into tables. When the couple next to us left, we had to move our table for her to get out. We also could very easily listen to the conversations of the couples around us. This is a good place for a quick bite, but I would only recommend it to friends that don't like spicy foods. The server was very attentive and it is neat and clean.
Great food, cute place. Nice drinks.
Very friendly service. Delicious food. Service was prompt.
Another great experience at 4 spoons. Friendly server, good Leo beer, and great food, wonton soup, crispy chicken and pad see ew beef. Crave-worthy stuff.
We like Thai food in general but this place lace is consistently flavorful and inventive. They have a decent wine selection which we appreciate.
The food was excellent.
Excellent food, OK but not outstanding service, good value.
Food was good. The service, very good considering it was a very busy night.
Fist time easting here. The butternut curry and the spicy pad Thai were very good. And of course chicken satay with the peanut sauce. Service was good, prices are reasonable. Will eat here again!
Really good food and efficient, warm service. End your meal with the mango sticky rice!
Really enjoy the freshness of the food and expedience Ofvservice.
Best pad Thai I’ve ever had! HIGHLY recommend Four Spoons!
My friend and I enjoyed a wonderful meal at Four Spoons last week. The food is creative, fresh and delicious! Many thanks for the birthday cake and candle!
